  • "Camcorder Effect"

    "It just looks wrong."

    Thank you.

  • Jump to 9:45 or there abouts for what the video calls for, not dvd crap.

  • Whats the difference between 600hz and 240hz?

  • what tv stashion you all on i would love to watch you all i dont now why g4 would not pick up your show use you all were on the chanel ate one time on other shows

  • i cant even force myself to watch the entire thing this is as boring as watching grass grow i came here to see if 240hz hd tvs were bullshit or not and all i got was a bunch of mindless jibber jabber about the lord of the rings and the matrix and other shit that was not about 240hz hd tvs this is the most boring and misleading video i have ever watched

  • I just found this channel and must say i love it. Have not had a chance to view through all. I heard that i should get out of my default settings. And to stay away from Dynamic mode but i find that Movie/Film mode are too dark for me. I have a Dark lit game room and am using a 55 Samsung 3D 8000 2010 series tv. any advice.?

  • yeah we have all seen that family guy episode

  • That dude totally looks like Drew Carey.

  • Cool show, very informative but I still don't know if 240HZ is worth it over 120HZ.

  • @meramosjr i hope you know that more HZ it has the more better the picture refresh

  • 10:18 is where the meat starts.

  • @reddog418 Thank you

  • i r sad when i loose resolution on my 60hz monitor

  • Plasmas are better

  • Plasmas are better 65 inch Panasonic 3d plasma beats any shit led or lcd

  • I have a 60hz and don't notice fuck all.

  • man just wait till those fucking laser tvs come out

  • I've got a brand new LG LED Full HD TV with 1080p and 120hz. I got a PS3 and I watch Avatar on bluray on my PS3 with HDMI of course. Just wow!!

  • is 240Hz good on any lcd tv?

  • get a 240hz

  • @arcanemirage Whats wrong with. They are giving out good information. their not rambling, their doing what they want to do and over 50,000 view, well people must be liking it and i'm one of them

  • bluray is cool i mean what else can they think of HD 3d they got that already not much they can do

  • 10 mins of BS is right and then you never get the real answer. Well if you want the no BS answer, go to crutchfieldtv 120Hz and 240Hz Refresh Rates. Should be onthe right side as your watching this.

But otherwise I like what there trying to do.

  • I Have a 3D Sony Bravia 46" HX800 240Hz so Eat that

  • I have a 600HZ samsung full HD 1080P 50" Plasma.

    Owned.

  • Umm yeah i own samusung 240hz led 3d best tvs out btw i have lord of the rings extended dvd and blu ray trilogy blu ray ver is the best trilogy movie out picture ill give it 8/10 sound 9.5/10 the audio is 6.1 dts hd master audio, it kills matrix, also transformers really great movies.

  • does anyone know any info on the 42' lg tv it's 60hz

  • love at 00:25

has all old televisions to the best 21st century tv

  • nice cap!

my grandad had one just like that

  • Thanks for completely ignoring what advantages 240hz has over 120hz... You touched on 24fps not playing properly on 60hz LCD, but gloss over any other helpful information in 120 vs 240hz.

  • I've discovered new things today because of you guys, thanks a lot and keep up the good work.

  • motion blur can be a really good thing especially in watching epics of fantasy movies. I mean 240hz is kind of cool I guess, but with all of thems HZ's it's going to make the viewer self aware of when a movie is being shot on a set in the back lot of a studio by how fake it looks due to the quality.

  • to the left pig wizpig, to the righ a yankee al capone... :)

  • The Matrix was shot digitally?

  • I got a Vizio 240hz HDTV, & I don't care if it's not true 240hz, this dam thing is amazing.

  • @noobsyb0t i agree with you, i wanna get a 65 inch samsung un65c6500 but i wanna wait at least a year so the price can go down. i have a 52 inch with 120hz i paid $2,700 at frys electronics and 2 years later i seen it new for $1,300 bucks. its worth waiting.

  • @noobsyb0t Hows it for gaming?

  • u dont need 240hz u can only see 60hz duh why more?

  • @quangluu96

you can see way more than 60hz. you have been misinformed if you think your eye can only see 30 frames per second.

  • what do herzes do? whats the difference between 60 Hz and 75 hz

  • @windson7 the more hertz the better the less motion blur, means clear pictures if u know about computer games, just think that lower fps means the game lag and u wont see a clear and smooth pictures same for hertz but fps and hertz are different

  • If you don't own 'Planet Earth' on blu ray, then you're crazy.

  • fuck ur gay ass sponsors..

  • Hd nation should have it´s own channel.

  • id say a 240Hz HDTV is a waste of money

60Hz is fine and your eyes can only see about 60Hz (60 FPS)

  • @provito i can tell a huge difference between 60 and 120 Hz

  • @hubeda I agree i have a 37 in 1080 p sony with 60 hz.I just bought a 60 inch mitsubishi 120 hz dlp.I put them side buy side to see if i see the difference whatcing football and i did.the 60 hz has motion blur when the camera move fast to keep up with the action.the 120 hz di not the picture remained clear.

  • @kaizenx68 try watching a high def animated movie! it's shocking even when not comparing.

  • @provito *Wrong* Studies show you can see more then 60fps if you wanted to and pay attention. Plus more fps the better by any means.

  • @provito 60hz is 30 frames a second

  • dose he mean interlaced the blinking back light system

  • It's important to remember that most programs are even broadcast faster than 120hz.

  • smearing also occurs in your retina . it's generally not the twisting that causes that problem ...

  • You Can't see more than 120 Hz...So 240Hz is bullshit :D

  • These guys have no idea what they're talking about. You don't lose resolution with motion, are they just making this up? Motion blur is fixed now and it never had anything to do with the refresh rate. 120hz and 240hz are both marketing gimmicks and if anything, they corrupt the image.

  • @jwark04 nice rant ignoranus

  • yeahh... future viewers are better off skipping straight to 10.

  • the claibration disks are crap....nothing like hiring true calibration certified esperts to do the work...

  • @technohobbies and how much does that cost?

  • ... and ps3 Bluray Player :)

  • my TV

  • Im gonna buy a Philips 32" LED tv. seems nice

    Philips 32PFL5605H/12

  • You Two guys rocks. Cheers for your good work keep it up.

  • Totally Agreed. Do the main point first and then I'll keep watching if I'm interested.

  • title is misleading.. should be 10 minutes of BS rambling before we actually get to what this video was supposedly about.

  • I agree.

  • @arcanemirage Thanks for the heads-up, I skipped to 10:00

  • @arcanemirage thank you!

  • LILU DALLAS MULTIPASS!!!!

  • Hey guys, I love your channel!! I need some advice on cleaning. I know that you had said that we can make our own, but I just bought some ldc cleaner. How do I get my Vizio 240 to not have STREAKS? Thanks -you for any tips!!! (CHAD)

  • Bgggbb... Yeah I think u got ripped... If I remember correctly s series is on the botom of The Sony tv totom pole and 1000? Seems a little steep

  • Hey it's Patrick Norton! I really miss Patrick, Leo, and classic The Screen Savers, AoTS just isn't my thing.

  • I kind of wish I spent a little more and got a 120Hz rather than a 60Hz Sony Bravia. Ahh well. It's still a huge upgrade from mv 27" CRT tv. Someone tell me if I got ripped off. I paid $999 for a 46" Sony Bravia S Series. BTW, My CRT tv is still way better for NES and SNES.

  • Samsung is better and you couldve got a nice 240hz for that price and size

  • The cheapest 46" 240Hz I saw was $1499.

  • VIZIO-SV471XVT is almost that price

but you could've just spent a little more money for a local dimming backlit LCD with 240 like the vizio TruLED 47 or LG 47LH90 which has superb picture quality with 2000000:1 dynamic contrast ratio. A normal computer monitor is like 8000:1

  • Yeah I looked into Vizio. But I decided I'd buy a name I trust. I'm not saying there is anything wrong with them, I'm just saying I felt better buying a Sony rather than I brand new company.

  • you don't need 240HZ tv! you need 120HZ cause you cant see more than 120HZ! 240HZ is a market trick!

    BTW I sell TV's professsionaly

  • I didn't think it would make a big difference. If you sell TV's, could you tell me if I got a good deal? I paid $999 for a 46" 60 Hz Sony Bravia S Series.

  • thats a bargain dude!

  • @simobgbgbg

    I've seen 120 and 240 side-by-side... and I can tell a difference.

They both look too smooth for movies. But they're perfect for games.

  • @Herbie803TV Everyone keeps saying it looks too smooth, I don't get it, isn't that good.

  • @noobsyb0t yes whoever says it is not good is a poor taste person ,it does take a little time for you to get use to

  • @noobsyb0t

when watching a movie (film is shot in 24p) it invents fake or duplicate frames this makes the movie look too smooth. ie; it looks like its been filmed on a krappy cheap camcorder. Movies start looking like normal soaps which is seriously not cool. It doesnt look like it did in the theatre. However for sports the smoother the better!

  • shit no, the TV is nice cause BRAVIA is the BOMB! however if you watch fast moving videos like sports(soccer, football, tennis etc), porn and other stuff like that youll find that 60HZ are not enough!your TV is perfect For movies and other it's great!

  • little too much advertising.

  • nice

  • lcd sucks period led uses 1000 leds in the tv one goes your fucked

  • @wildanddemon You know "LED" TVs are just lcd tvs with led backlighting instead of flourescent right? And most LED lights could last 100000 hours. The LCD would dissemble before the LEDs

  • panasonic pz 850 kills any sanesung or over priced sony

  • I just bought a 60hz 37 inch samsung lcd this christmas... I really screwed up didn't I?

  • @luevas 60hz is fine for just about everything. tvs running high refresh rates tend to look a little weird if you aren't used to it.

  • @luevas Yes, you did.

  • @luevas sorry my friend

  • @luevas yes

  • @luevas hajajaj bro.....as i am writing this, this guys have not touch the topic ....for experience i will tell you i got my a 32' 60 hz for $450......and i was happy in fact so much that i though ....what if i return this and spend an extra $450 ?? answer vizio 42" 240hz LED lcd tv is the new member of my family and i can't be more proud and happy .

  • @luevas no, right now 120hz and 240hz lcds still don't have their kinks worked out yet, many sets just interpolate which lags the set and causes a shaky juddery image.

I'd wait two more years before the tech is streamlined... but when that happens I'm tossing out my 32ex400 for a 240hz set.

  • @luevas The worst part is that you had to buy yourself a Christmas present.

  • he lates lotr but likes all movies in the matrix trilogy? weird

  • Great show guys keep it up,

I have a plasma but some how I love the Samsung and Sony 240 Motion Flow looks

To bad I already spended my money on plasma...

  • does anybody know with is the best lcd led or plasma tv that you can view sports like soccor and play games but it wont get broke in like 1 year like how everyone says the samsungs

    jajjajaj plz helpppppppp

  • if your playing games watching movies in low light get a plasma panasonic no burn in no mercury no lead ....awesome

  • yeah if u cant go 240 go 120 there is a SERIOUS diff between 60 240 is insane tho. i have a brav i just got it so id have a good tv for whatever is "next" and theres a def difference.

  • 240 hz is for 3d

  • no its for everything there's a clear diff trust me side by side when your films start to do alot of work to med amount of things happening nothing gets muddy EVER its worth it. The 3d thing is something else 240 only helps

  • I noticed that too with 120hz even on the tvs displayed at bestbuy.

  • Good show.

  • Would the cyan lens from standard 3d glasses work for a blue filter?

  • @homestar92 yes or just get tape a blue sharpy and colere the tape and there you go it works with any thing blue and plastic

  • This was VERY good information!

Im looking into buying a TV for Christmas and you guys really helped in what i was looking for.

I actually watched the whole video - You guys were great!

Great show, great chemistry, you guys are very informant and relay it to the viewer in an easy understandable fashion.

Thanks and look forward to more shows!!!!

  • sorry lg plasma

  • hi guys i have a ls plasma i bougth it like 3 years ago it is 720p but with hd can go to 1080i i want to upgrade my tv with the samsumg ln46b650t1f it is 120hz what you think this tv is good or bad and should i do the upgrade i want to know if is going to be worth it thanks help me out

  • Anyone else notice that the crosshairs on any game BLURS when you enable 120hz?

  • Hey guys great vid.

  • PC games can support those high frame rates.

  • first of all all games run at 60hz not 240hz.. and movies run at 120hz and u cant really notice a difference between 120hz and 240hz if ur playing games

  • yes i agree, video games are only supposed to be ran at 60hz. with 120hz or 240hz you will notice some blurring around the object that is moving, for example saints row 2 or metal gear solid 4. 120hz&240hz look beautiful on blue ray movies.

  • Movies run at 120? hahahha your a funny one!

  • no shit you queef!!!

  • @LADYSNASTYMAN K ur dumb

  • actualy yes you can newer games run around 240Hz

  • Well the tv is suppose to insert 2 or more frames into the original amount of frames... so instead of having 2 frames in a 60hz tv you would have 8 frames because it just multipies the amount of frames in each frame to make the picture look less juddery and more focused...

  • all i know is if ur a hardcore gamer go with 240hz but thats just me

  • informative and humorous show

  • how about 600hz tvs? if 240hz seems like BS, 600hz should be even more BS

    example: LG 32PG6000

  • 600hz is only for plasma tvs

  • whats sharps site???

  • Excellent show!

  • Come on you guys. Our goal is to get the HDTV, but not pay the Price. I've learned not to ever buy New. You will regret it within 8 months. Their TV, Our Price.

  • u wont unless ur poor

  • makes nascar look better. lets see them turn right.

  • THE SCREEN SAVERS!

  • I'm not spending money on a 240 Refresh rate TV. I'm totally fine with my 1080p HD TV with 60Hz.

  • Your bad.

  • What?

  • That's my point. We aren't all rich. For us with wives, we had to grovel to get the big tv in the first place, now we should just go out and get another tv because SOME sports look better.. puuuulease!

  • Good Point

  • Thanks for backing me up on the 240hz crap. Next year they'll be trashing those ones too!

  • No problem. You're right, all of a sudden a 540hz TV for additional thousands of dollars will be on the market. I'm just as fine with a 32", 60hz (which looks great on my PS3 and Blu-Ray's), 1080p HDTV. If there's a new superior resolution on the market I might upgrade, but that won't be for at least 5 years I'm sure. These things are a rip-off.

  • 60HZ cant support certain software like nividia 3D glasses (amazing) look up if u dont know what im talking about

  • what supports 3d glasses? 120?

  • and up yes

  • no there's no TV that supports nvidia 3d vision so far!

  • Hey 60hz seems fine to me. Only soccer looks like shit. To the guy saying we should just replace our 60hz with a new tv... I guess you aren't married or are rich lol!

  • matrix trilogy? dude is high

  • You'd have to be high to like those crap sequels... biggest letdown in cinematic history

  • ah shit i take that back i didn't know patrick norton was cool with garnett lee. that makes him ok in my book.

  • wait what's wrong with gaming? why would you wince and say let's not even go there?

  • Great first episode! Looking forward to the next.

  • Patrick Norton is smart and entertaining

BUT Robert Heron is a Jerk and should SHUT UP!

You think Matrix Trilogy is good,.. uh ,whateva,. but you also Hate Lord Of The Rings . You is Broken and need replacing. < - - FIRE HIM!!!

  • whens the second episode comin

  • Keep it coming!

  • Awesome, loved the show!

It's just that... that TV with the striped changing color... man, that's distracting!

  • i would like systm instead of hdnation but it is a good show

  • great show!

  • I'm disapointed in this episode! You guys only covered what you have already covered in system and in tekzilla with some added movie titles. What's up with that? I hope you guys at least make episode two better

  • He hates Lord of the Rings and loves The Matrix sequels? O_O

  • That other Robert, how is his last name spelled? Harran, Heron etc?

  • I use my VGA cables to hook up my BlueRay player

  • Why? Use HDMI or DVI because VGA is analog and cannot deliver a digital signal.

  • love the original matrix

  • great show, looking forawrd to more

  • I'm sad there is no more SYSTM but this is really good.

  • theres no more systm, wtf, well we still got tekzilla

  • cant wait for 2230hz refresh rate then if you turned on your screen you go blind.

  • @SwerVQE lol

  • Congratulations on your new show!

  • I am waiting for 480hz refresh rate!

  • Or 960hz! O.o

  • toshiba is already claiming it.

  • Damn, I hate waiting for it to process.
