Star Wars, Star Trek, Ferris Bueller's Day Off, Terminator, etc. and replace the original characters to incorporate different races. 123...I expect it will have much better martial arts than the original as Jackie is doing the fight choreography, and you can't dispute he's one of the best ever in this arena. He's had Jaden training in Kung fu with him and his adult stunt team for a year before filming starting. BTW, have you actually SEEN any of the HK movies with kids doing kung fu? It's more brutal and adult than you think. And the entire film was shot there.

The irony on this is that Will Smith, producer of the new Karate Kid, said that a remake should be filmed if the original missed something. The original Karate Kid didn't miss anything, you can't remake a classic, it's an insult. And Jaden Smith, I hate that kid since I saw The Day Earth Stood Still, and Jackie Chan almost always does shit like Shanghai Kid or Rush Hour.
