  • These D-Link gaming routers have problems, with firmware, etc. Do your research before buying.

  • I have the Belkin N300 Wireless-n router and it kicks ass. WIRELESS-N FOREVER!

  • this router is blazing fast , I have been using this router 4 over a year its awesome trust me i have recently compared it to the linksys E 42OO . this DIR-825 d link router is the best hands down . 4 online gaming there is nothing better .

  • im buying this router.

  • Why don't D-Link get there shit together! These routers are garbage!

  • The dual bands just arent worth the money unless you REALLY DO have insane amounts of insanely big packs that need to be transferred constantly. The single band routers do just fine if you just have. 1 360/1 PS3/1 PSP/DS/1 or 2 PC/And 1 or 2 Laptops/And maybe a smart phone or 2.

Just as long as they are not all connected at the same time. If you have just 3 or 4 of those connected at the same time you will get max speeds on a good single band wireless router. If not then you should Spend the $

  • i had to trade my linkys for dlink.... dlink is great

  • i have one of these and after using for a month strait it tends to gain some heat.

RECOMMEND THAT U DONT BLOCK UP THE AIR VENTS!!!!!!!!!!

or u will be in trouble

  • @acepilot234 hi i am thinking on buying one of these i have the d-link dir 615 and i just died on my and was thinking on upgrading dose yours still work because mine lasted just over a year and i had lots of trouble connecting to it with my iphone

  • is this good for playing ps3?will it lag?

  • lol die

  • @NocturnalCastle yea this is perfect for it, no lag whatsoever. just bought this today for my ps3 and it is exceptional. all the other connections;ipod touch, laptop, wired connections; great.

  • @TheJamesfan23 hi i am thinking on buying one of these i have the d-link dir 615 and i just died on my and was thinking on upgrading dose yours still work because mine lasted just over a year and i had lots of trouble connecting to it with my iphone. and i want to play my ps3 wirelessly with no problems

  • @siekiersk definately, still going good, huge range, buy it

  • Cool i just got a Dual band N adapter for my xbox 360, the connection is better, but i must buy a N router to make it even better.

  • We pimpin' wid da wirelees bee

  • Mine has 3 antennas (655) and blows any linksys wifi product away.

I owned 7 linksys wifi products and they all BITE!

  • lol i upgraded from wrt54g aka sucks doggies dick to dir 655 aka buggati veyron.

  • Hmm, some research tells me that the 655 actually has better range than the new 825, can someone comment on this? And what type of antennae does it use, eg 6x6, 3x3 or something else?

  • the 655 has better reviews on newegg and i just bought one... if your looking for range then the 655 probably is better considering it has one extra antenna

  • I own this very router and have been using it for several months now, with several devices connected to it and it works flawless and its fast. D-Link gets an A+ in my book. =)

  • i used to think dlink was crap brother router to this model in the video sure proved my ass wrong. dlink has amazing products so does linksys.

  • anyone know a good networkcard for desktops?(wireless)

  • i hate my wirless G its sucks ass man dont get a good connection on x box live

gotta get me one a dem N routers

  • i hate my wireless G... i dont think ive ever been mad at anything more then my router!!

  • linksys sux. linksys is just the most advertised, not the best.

  • linksys sucks badly

  • i changed out my old Router for this and man it real real helps so. I put my stamp of approval on this

  • almost like the old airport extreame from apple

  • lol Nice^^

  • i dont care if we need a gateway dsl bla bla thing to connect this to the internet it is really design for home networking and yes no lags this very recommended to small to big office network lol

  • these are so biased

  • come on dude

    you know d-link is shit

you just want to get d link a good review because there paying you

    dlink is shit

  • D-link pwns! :P

  • your kidding

    it sucks

  • Your an idiot.

  • when your swapping... cum! not files :D

  • hahahahahaha

  • The Xbox 360 Wireless Network Adapter is highly versatile and supports 802.11b, 802.11g and 802.11a (Dual band 5 GHz and 2.4 GHz

  • I have it connected using 5gz

  • hey i have a ps3 and i just bougth a dir 825 can you tell me how to use 5ghz band

  • hey bro sorry to tell you but the wireless card in ps3 is g only and its pretty crap quality. sony is using cheap wireless cards not our gamers fault. now what you can do is get an laptop with a dualband wireless card and bridge it with your ps3. it will give you less lag and better speed then using ps3 wireless. another option even faster then the first one is using ethernet to get the max speed.

  • I got DIR-655 and haven't drop connection since the first day i got it

    and it's also fast !

  • that thing will not work on ADSL

Our DSL from our Phone Company

    is Wireless B 11 MBPS

and my New Notbook only had Wireless

  • Actually - yes this WOULD work with ADSL. This D-Link is ONLY a router. It is not a home gateway. You HAVE to connect this box to your ADSL modem. BUT, this D-Link is not worth the money. I helped a friend install it. It's good in theory, but not practice. If you are using a ADSL gateway (modem and router), you would have to connect your gateway into the Lan port on this box. I still prefer the All-in-one home gateways.

  • Ihave this router. 5ghz for my 360,

    2.4gz for my ps3, 2pcs connected wireless,pc wired,and laptop wireless.

then have printer hooked up to the router using usb

  • i have a mac, xbox 360 and a nintendo wii, would you recoment this for me? i dont want any wires anywhere, i want it all wireless. what do i need? do i really need a wireless n adapter? does this product ever randomly shut off?

  • Not possible, xbox 360 network adaptors dont pick up wireless-N signals, so how do you use 5ghz for it? It only use a,b, g.....LMAO

  • yea well u the right man to help me out, i got this big problem of choosing witch router would be best to be able to stream both my ps3 and ps3 at the same time cuz i got an old d-ling and when ever my gf plays cod4 on ps3 and me on diablo 2 well we both lag ALOT so plz help us out

  • i got choises between dir-825/ dgl-4100/ dgl-4500 or if i order it out the dir-855

  • sry after reading bak wat i wrote i meant ps3 and pc not ps3and ps3 lolol ima lil hi

  • i have a Mac, xbox 360, and nintendo wii, will this work for me??? should i buy it?

  • i dont know if macs have n draft wifi

xboxs dont have n i dont think

    will dont have n

  • so what would you recommend?

  • just a b/g wireless router there cheapper

but n gives you more range but isnt in a lot of things yet

  • I'm sure it would work if you have the wireless capabilities, I've got a Linksys Wireless N range boost and I have gotten my Wireless A+G cards to work on it, as long as you have the RJ port on the Wii, Xbox 360 will work with it, Macs should as long as its got a wireless or the RJ port. Not remembering the name of the CAT5 its like RJ-45 **DIdnt think to google** but a wireless signal is a wireless signal lol.

  • I only have 1.5GBps internet, so my DIR-615 is good enough for now -_-

  • only 1.5 gbps???' Dude, i would kill for your internet :(

  • xD My auntie has 15gbps, so I feel like this is really slow...

I only get download speeds of like 70-90kbps >_> soo yeahh :(

  • oh, well still, i only have 60 kbps :(

  • LINKSYS by cisco best wireless secure but this is good aswell might buy it

  • Thats nice to be able to share printers and such throughout a network, hook up a USB HUB and bam Hard drive, Printer, whatever else.

I wonder what'd happen if you hooked in a mouse? could you control all the pcs on your network?

  • same thought here

  • it makes you wonder lol, The Microsoft mouse is P&P so I mean if all the machines are microsoft ........ what would happen? hahaha

  • lol, good thinking

  • N routers might be good for inhome network transfers, but far as most of the internet in the US goes, it does not help any, cause most of the home Highspeed net connections are 6MPS or less, on cable or DSL lines. Also with most N Routers you have to buy the specific USB N card, or internal N card, or they will not work. at N speed say with a Netgear N card with a Trendnet N Router, you will get G speeds. They also make 108mps G routers from Netgear, and they work just fine, I have one. :-)

  • so will this work for all new laptops?

  • Depends on the laptop's N card. If it's not compatable with this N router, you will only get G speeds. Make sure to reseach the laptops wireless card if it's an N card, before buying a router. You might have to get something like a Netgear, Trendnet, or Belkin N Router. Not all N wireless routers are the same and, conform to specifc network specs like all Standard G/B wireless routers do, unless they are using G/B speeds.

  • Strange. This month's issue of MaximumPC reviewed this same router but said that it's not a true dual band router, it can't use both frequencies at once but can choose between the two.

  • Does not surprise me that Tiger is giving disinfo, on the product, just to sell it. MaximumPC sense it came out has been one of the best tech info sources around.

  • All fine and dandy, but does it run DD-WRT?

  • YESS!!! I HAVE THIS!! w00t.

  • Are the screens behind Bauer flickering for everybody or am I just so tired?

  • yeah, they are.

  • Yes the screen are flickering for me as well, The camera they are using is not matching the refresh of there monitors or, it could be YouTube

  • No there flickering.

  • Hi Bauer!

  • Need to find a really good online gaming router, any suggestions?

  • this one

  • omg i have one of these it is so fast!

  • I have one of these , i was totaly unaware that it was this good...

  • but really D link needs to make a 8 port wireless n router and Sony needs to make a new PS3 model with wireless N :)

  • I have this got it at costco

  • how much it cost?

  • 100

  • why arnt these in high quality/hd? they look like shit!!!

  • they are for me

  • nice product man i need a better 1

  • yup

  • i like this 1 but i am happy with my linksys wag200G coz i use 512kbps bandwith... and these r too powerfull .... my router rokx...

  • YEAH I HAVE THAT

  • Im using that d link today and i can say that is really good.

  • dam i wanted to be first!!! = [ dang!!

  • man thats cool

  • No kidding.

  • yep :) and even the tech updates are not as cool as they were in the beginning

  • where are all the graphic cards?..lol

  • yea, like they haven't even reviewed one of the coolest graphics cards like ASUS 4870 Matrix ROG, which is ''the most intelligent graphics card on the planet''

  • Screw all who say first
