I checked the position on the database after the following moves: 1.e4 e6 2.d4 d5 3.Nd2 Nf6 4.e5 Nfd7 5.Bd3 c5 6.c3 Nc6 7.Ne2 cxd4 8.cxd4 f6 9.Nf4 Nxd4 10.Qh5 Ke7 11.Ng6 hxg6 12.exf6 Nxf6 13.Qxh8 Kf7 14.O-O e5 15.Nf3 Nxf3 16.gxf3 Bf5 17.Bxf5 gxf5 18.Bg5 and this variation had a 75% winning percentage for white.
Stupid arse Tom Tancredo and Glen beck.. one language, Americans dont even speak english correctly.!! lets be a stupid one language nation, where in europe everyone speaks multiple languages.. friggin Stupid Hicks.. Tom Tancredo is satanist..
Very nice video, im going to play this against the french now, But i do ask one thing, could you send my a messege with the notation and at the bottom go through all the diffrent variations, i would really apreciate it, thanks.
Excellent. I'm a mediocre player who is trying the Tarrasch as white. Some say its dull I think its mega dynamic from both sides. Quite hairy attack you fought off. Could white have done better here? Anyway keep up the good work.
It is all about experience and reinforcement. A friend of mine took up this opening about 15 years ago and showed me one of his games in this variation.
Shortly after, I took up the French. Soon after that somebody surprised me with this opening and I didn't remember exactly what to do and I lost the game.
I later studied the line, and now it is imprinted in my brain.
With that said, I still didn't remember what do exactly after white played Bg5.

at 4:12 why recapture the pawn w/ the knight? it seems like gxf6 is better. because Nxf6 leaves you with doubled isolated pawns
MAfr3ak 3 years ago
i think because of Qh7+ followed by the fall of the g6 pawn, whereas Nxf6 the queen cannot attack that pawn easily

Nice game, nice video.
What software do you use? I want to find some chess software that has a square-highlighting and arrow feature, I think it would improve my videos.

Thanks, I used Chessbase Light. You can go to the chessbase website and download it for free. The only problem is that you can't save your games.

Great game, and interesting line, but the colored arrows seemed very random at times.

Thanks! Your right, I forgot to turn off the arrows.
