I find it easier to use what we call the META method at my school (British Method) in which you multiply the first and third term and then fond what factors of the resulting # add to get the second term.

@martymar1792 factor out the negative (-1)(x^2+x-30)then factor the rest(-1)(x+6)(x-5)then make them = to 0 and solve (-1=0)cancells out, (x+6=0)=(x=-6) and (x-5=0)=(x=5) so you have x={-6,5}
