Absolute respect to chuck and Death, but with a name like Death, your appeal is limited for sure, I think that's what Control Denied was about. Same with Savatage and TSO.
@chicka321 i think its more directed towards parents but thats just my opinion. i think its parents thinking this is "bad music" and influences bad behavior when really the bad behavior comes from how the child was raised by the parent. thats what i got out of lack of comprehension
@ChuckSchuldiner14753 Honestly, I don't remember...probably found it browsing the net. I didn't ripped it directly from a VHS tape, if that's what you mean :-)
AHHHH! SUPER SCHULDINER CLOSE-UP! lol you all know that Chuck was a master of the art of music. Fuck popular music for not letting him half enough money to fix his damn tumor. And fuck his managers too, cause they ripped him off. I hope they fucking feel good about themselves, bastards.
Everytime time this guy speaks, he takes the words right out of my mouth. He's all about originality, and so am I. If he was alive to see what Metal is like today, he would either laugh his ass off or kick some serious ass. As a solution, I'm planning on reviving him.
YES! We must turn to Necromancy lol see what today's music is doing to us? lol Really if i could go back in time i would so tell him about that damn tumor
i wish i could favorite comments. that is deep beyond beleif. when i read that i nearly cried. people think of allot of us as subhuman, as waste. i want people to fucking understand god damn it!!!! he was a great man who made great songs not just a musician. he was so accepting of peoples veiws, of peoples religion, of ethnicity and race. the vile live long, the honest die young, the brave live fast, but the true shall be remembered. you are right, and i wish i could have met him.rip chuck.
Man i did fucking cry when i read this cause you share my pain... I never got to meet the guy. It deeply saddened me to hear of his passing, ohhh about 6 fucking months ago when i first started listening to Death. I Hate myself for not liking Metal when i was younger... But that was a long time ago. I was, what... eight when he died...
I believe there are many of us with these feelings. . . He was a great man and he did indeed have so much more to teach us. . . Rest In Peace My Brother. . .. . .
Yup,Scream Bloody Gore to Sound of Preserverance, they are all amazing,i havent heard a DEATH song that i havent loved,he was so young,if he was around 5 more years even imagion what he could have done (even more then they have) for music in general, amazing. R.I.P
Chuck will always be remembered, the acoustic part of Perennial Quest makes me really sad because it makes me feel like that was the last piece of music Chuck ever played, even thought it wasn't. I love how Chuck may have been the father of death metal but the thing about his death metal was that it actually was music instead of noise like some of the other bands are. RIP Chuck.
It was meant to be the last piece of music Death ever played, since Sound of Perseverance was supposed to be Control Denied. I always viewed Symbolic as his magnum opus, not only because it's so incredibly good, but because it was the last album before he thought of death metal as too limiting to accommodate his incredibly immense creativity.
Agreed. Schuldiner was an important intellectual in his own right. Without his work we wouldn't have such ontological categories like "pulling the plug" or groundbreaking epistemological notions like "lack of comprehension"-- Not to mention his critique of mainstream philosophical currents in "The Philosopher."
Fucking awsome!

He was such a philosopher...
I love the way he explains this music intellectually for those who think it is just noise or "evil".
It was a tragic day for music when this metal god left this world.
