all the software is the same. they all do the same thing. PLUG INS are where it matters.

i started with fruityloops and ive tried all most all of the major softwares ableton, sonar, reason, acid. and they all serve the same basic function. some are just a bit different.

@heddy1012 I wouldn't say so... honestly would not surprise me if that WAS their studio... they've got a serious reputation for using quirky/old/shit gear, and getting exactly the sound they want out of it. It would be fitting for their studio to be a total mess. I can't see why those monitors aren't suitable, or why that room should be horrific for mixing in. Could well be this is where they do the music making, and they hire/own a professional studio for mixing/mastering.
