You're not gonna catch much with a visable trap buddy. Counter sunk and covered with something is the best way. But hey, I've only been doing it for 30 years...what do I know?
Truly this is one of the worst things I have seen in recent years. I just cannot believe that anyone could find any justification in doing this sort of thing. The guy's an absolute moron, killing creatures for the sake of killing alone.
No he is not killing just to kill, he is collecting a 100 % natural and renewable ressource that is fur. If you love this planet you can't be against trapping. Maybe you prefer synthetic clothing or fake fur made from petroleum ?
Altho likely more effective, covering the trap isnt required for bobcats and with freeze thaw conditions coupled with new snowfall, I have found leaving them exposed is fine.
Have to see what we can do about that, come Jan and Feb I am free quite a bit so we can work around your schedule and hope we can show ya a catch or 2 !
