( I own an old zx10 and I love her even though she is'nt as fast as the s1000rr on the Autobahn. Corkscrew roads it does't depend that much on the bike but the rider!)
When I had YZF-R1 2007 model, the speedo was way off. Like driving 70MPH was something around 65mph on GPS. Taking in account the limiter on 300km/h this makes huge difference on the top end to the point where more accurate speedo will win the race. :)

German tech over japanese. I know usally japanese has best tech but really? 286 and you still behind the s1000rr? and plus you in 5th gear?? what 6th gear gonna go up too? 330 kph?
German tech over Japanese tech anyday, there's a reason that Japanese people with money drive German gear. If both those bikes run stock tires (which is likely) than the speedo of the Kawa is off a few % more, simple as that. Always gamble on the lowest numbers.
@poopalarge Politicians japanese people drive only German cars... German sports bikers and drivers, drive Japanese cars and Motos.. The german-technology is for laughing.. Telefunken and Nordmende tech.. The speedometer many times showing "fault" numbers because a most or less pressure in tires...
Mare, you do not believe that North American Place primero world does not know why this difference .... kkkkkkkkk
is so simple, expensive wheel size, are of different sizes of Kawasaki and less than the BMW so that the System account loops of Peneus shows that there is a difference! Loco kkkkkkkkkkkk the other said it was photo-shop kkkkkkkkkk
@polime1977 you're the stupid one. one of the bikes speedometer is 10km/h off. it's got nothing to do with the head position. its the fact that the bmw is going faster then the zx but it says its going 10km/h less on the speedometer
@ClandestineAssassin Yeah, best bet is to go down the middle of the 2 speeds, e.g. the zx10 shows 280 and the s1000rr shows 270, take it as about 275 or there abouts
@XXTHEBIGKEVXX Yes! BMW is topping out 299 aswell, but see the difference in clocks indication. There is over 11km/h difference so when the Kawi gets 299 the BMW will ony be +-285 or so. Note the BMW is quicker on this video and stll underreading the speed by 11km/h. Yes the BMW rider is +-30kg heavier too.
@garth285 No luck my friend! When Kawi gets 299km/h this BMW will be indicating around 285 or so and the K10 gets to 299 km/h weary quickly too (more realistic 299km/h not like the Kawis one). Maby we make next video before the Kawi is moded.
@pietkun007 I was just sayin kawi's can go faster than the bmw's top speed with some simple mods :-) Ricky Gadson just broke the 1000cc record to 206.xx mph :-)
@garth285 206 was in MSP/G - bike additionally has a mild port job
S1000RR @ 202mpg - ... exactly what had been done to it. “Basically nothing,” was the answer from Performance Bikes’ Mark White, who concluded: “Our S1000RR remains essentially a standard 1000cc production motorcycle with an off-the-shelf pipe, a sprocket swap and some gaffer tape. With its two-year warranty still intact it has just broken two hundred miles an hour in one mile from a standing start. Astonishing.”

That's an interesting observation. I wonder why the BMW is reading incorrectly. Oddly enough mine does the same thing.
