  • hopefully someday these will be solar powered so we have a fast car that needs no recharging or refueling. :D

  • the true car that started the "charge your battery while you break" not toyota like they want to claim. all of toyota's "innovations" were started by other companies.

side note. BEST ELECTRIC CAR EVER. a Lotus body and a Tesla engine. reminds me of how sad i was that Chrysler dropped the dodge EV.

  • if i had $100,000 i would buy this car in a heartbeat. but for those who can't afford it, converting your own car at home is a cheap alternative!

  • @ferraridriver16 I like the idea, but where do you get the cheap lotus chassis to drop onto my peugeot 106! :D

  • you don't. Just take out the engine and replace it with a big electric motor. That's how simple a conversion is.

  • but it'll still look like a peugeot 106. I'd rather convert the body and leave the crappy engine :D

  • @tricky778 that's exactly what I thought too.

A peugeot 106 XSI or GTi would be a cool candidate and it would be possible to plug a 20 kW or a 30 kW motor(!). The only down side: is a FWD

  • 10-50 in TWO SECONDS!!!!!

    wtf, import killer!!!!???

  • I ALREADY MOTHER FUCKING BELIEVE.

  • i like the challenger. but you know what, im a gm man.

    CAMARO 6.2L 428 HP VS 6.1 320HP

  • 50k but having to replace the batteries after a max of 400 chargers it will cost $13k

  • uuhh this was all over the news.

go to stats and data and click on a site.

    his name is victor morgenstern.

  • omg every time i see a tesla i always think its a lotus elise they look so alike until it comes up close im like oh its a tesla.

  • thats 10-45 in 3 seconds. it sounds big because its electric.

  • dang i really like the car but im afraid of the costs and the battery charge time, i heard it takes really long to charge that battery

  • 3 hours charge time. In a couple months they're coming out with a quick charger that gets it up to 80% full charge in 1 hour, and a full charge in 2. And then you have 250 miles of driving before you have to plug it in again. It costs a lot because it's considered a supercar. The whole body is carbon fiber, the chassis is aluminum, and the batteries are the highest performance available.

  • thanks for telling me all the shit i already know?

  • you're such an idiot.

"dang i really like the car but im afraid of the costs and the battery charge time, i heard it takes really long to charge that battery"

It takes an hour to charge it to 80%. 1 hour is not a "really long time"

  • Dude my comment was from like a year ago. Shut the fuck up back then they never confirmed shit about the new battery. The car right now bullshit takes 3 hours to charge its battery. Depends on how much you used it. And certainly does not only take an hour if it had no energy left to get up to 80%

  • you are so ill informed

  • This car would be great. I just can't afford it

  • that car is awesome

  • 0-60! while hes on the phone lol. He caught an interesting phone call.

  • Right now I fill up my car about once a week. How long does this thing go before it needs to be recharged?

  • like 300 miles

  • This car is danger to U.S economy

  • why? it's made in the USA

  • because of oil he is saying

  • Search "Happy Rob Buy" by google ,and you will find amazing.

  • my dads friend has one of those. it is so awesome

  • xcamaro, did you record this?

  • Tesla is nice. Camera person needs some schoolin'

  • yeah im getting there!

im doing better and better after every video besure to subscribe!

  • Little rude to request 0-60 when someones on the phone ; )

  • haha

  • no it's not. but it might be quite illegal though :)

  • i do love this car :D

  • It's 6831 laptop battery-cells to be precise

  • how do you know that?

  • CEO Elon Musk and all the engineers have said that several times in interviews with Tesla Motors

  • How much does this car cost today?

  • 100k

  • Fantastic car....we need it here in Australia now!!!!!!

  • I know what he is talking about on the phone: Fisker Automotive.

  • Fisker is pretty cool, too :)

  • someone has at&t :). so do i!

  • Sounds like a really nice drive you went on!

  • dang nice car

    watch?v=NvrbgVX9BqI

  • Nice but anyone that has seen Topgear will know that this thing will run out of power tooo soon if you drive it hard lol.. then you are stuck in the middle of nowhere looking for someone with a plug socket to help you out rofl rofl...maybe next time :o))

  • do you know how much a ferrari consume on the track? It goes 1.8 miles on a whole fuckin gallon. So in an energy-perspective it's the same thing

  • Sweet ride!!!

  • more like 17000 laptop batteries

  • n they all suck compared to this one hu

dont dont come saying that you have a ferrari n shit like that

  • weirdd...engine no sound, but still a sweet ride

  • Awesome car, but very amateur video taping :(

I wish I could afford one lol

  • fake viral but still good showing off the car.

  • its not fake i didnt intend for him to get the call.

otherwise i would have interviewed him!

  • Was your pet squirrel holding the camera?

  • the car is fast and i was sitting forward!

  • rofl coribec

  • It will be nice when the technology gets to a point where you can take this on a road trip.

  • This does smell like a corporate created viral video, don't be stupid guys.

  • i swear its not!

i made it i dont worj for tesla.

  • its not fake and its a cool car

  • who cares if its a corporate video they have all the right to advertise their product to make a living you damn commie.

  • So you're saying when a company covertly produces a video in an attempt to decieve people into thinking they're hearing a secret conversation they are not supposed to, everyone should just play along?

I'll answer for you, "no". Now go away.

  • As long as the alleged business agent that is undercover as a customer is stating facts about the car I don't see any crime in this type of advertising no. Why the hell do you care? you have the philosophy of our crazy politicians wanting to subsidize private entities because they "don't like the way they do business"

  • love it!

  • this is probably a viral piece of work entirely conceived by Tesla but I don't know why they'd want to to this.

  • hey got your comment!

no this is not from tesla i am me!

    im 14 and like cars!

but damn look how many views!

  • Hilarious! well done!! normally videos bore me.. well some of them but this one kept me in tune through out the whole thing.. realy talent you have.

  • Wow, if Tesla put as much work into designing cheaper batteries as they do into designing viral videos like this, they could already be selling their low-cost sedan to the public.

  • 1. this isn't a "viral" video.

    2. nobody designed this video, it's a guy with a camera getting a ride.

    3. tesla doesn't spend anything on advertising.

    4. ur dumb

  • 1. This video is a viral video.

    2. It is "designed" to appear as a viral video.

    3. That certainly shows with this ad.

    4. Thanks.

  • Awesome car. I can't wait till Tesla Motors makes their 3rd car. I can't afford either car yet. I hope the third car comes out in 2014 or something.

  • jumping the gun there. we're still waiting for the 2nd car.

  • Yeah, I know. Hopefully the second car comes out in 2011 or 12.

I hope they use the Better Place method for the batteries in the Model S. In order for the swap battery to happen, the driver can't own the battery.

  • Yes you've struck gold with that cell phone conversation.

Any chance you could post it completely unedited, because it cuts when he says something interesting? pls pls pls...

  • i know the guy who recorded this he didnt cut nayhting really

  • The cell phone conversation is the most interesting piece. That car owner is an investor in Tesla Motors and he was talking about upcoming news.

  • Dude that thing is awesome
