What republicans are doing now is that they are getting their weapons ready for 2010. The are zeroing on racializing Obama to gin up votes along racial lines. Rightwing radio is zeroing in on the Sotomayor pick, birthers people questioning Obama's citizenship, the Gates situation. They will couple this with Obama's unpopular healthcare plan and will use falsehoods to win back seats in 2010. They will draw districts that will favor their voters.

I ask the question because of your screen name. You have no stream of logic nor a sense of grammar. If you are a government school teacher, then you are already a bought and paid for member of the Democratic party. Your teachers 'union' is a destructive force that has contributed to the dumbing down of generations of chilren since Senator William Proxmire's 1983 report of the state of public schools in America. Proxmire was a WI Democrat.

I am not perfect in anything I write or say. Don't judge or condemn me just because I disagree with you. I am not a democrat. I know enough about politics and the political culture of our society to know about racial and the cultural warfare of politics.The Republicans used racial coded language in the 1980's to play on the fears of white Southerners to get votes. Do some research before you condemn or criticize me! I am not part of a union. My state doesn't allow them for teachers.

@luvs2teach00 - That's funny you said that a Year ago because I haven't heard anything about 'birthers or sotomayor' in months. Maybe they were talking about Sotomayor because.... it was the current issue, and appointing a judge is a pretty big issue and well it's really really obvious that Republicans are going to disagree with the Dems pick and vice versa the other way around.

WOW, the 2010 Census being run through the White House and new invasive information is being asked of us on the Census. In one easy questionnaire, Obama will get information like what is the relationship of each occupant of your home, what kind of home you live in, if you own or rent your home, if you home has a mortgage, ect. WHY does this information need to be compiled in the White House???

US Constitution say "head count" only. This 2010 census is a big brother action to govt control.

There is only one constitutional question in the census -- "How many people were living or staying in this house, apartment or mobile home on April 1, 2010?" That's it. All other questions should be voluntary of the 8 in the census short form and of the 52 in the census long form that one in six households will receive. To present them as mandatory, meaning that the government can use all necessary force to compel compliance, is unconstitutional.
