'from the past until Temptation will turn away no more' is a reference to the songs pened by New Order/Joy Division and refers to the song Temptation getting so much good critc, the band had made it for a 2nd time. I've always thought the other lyrics were discribing a funeral, when some 'person' lays his hands on Bernard and says ' I know how you feel?' His reaction tell me now how should I feel? Blue Monday is an interesting song on so many levels and this is a good version Servoboy

@crabbieappleton Fair enough. There's a version on the "Ultra Chilled" series of CD's I like better, I'm not sure if Nouvelle Vague sings it or not. It's a quieter, sadder rendition than this; that to me seems more appropriate for what the lyrics are saying......be polite in your response....OUCH !!!....HEY !!!... ;-)

This is great! I enjoy a good cover, but this... This is better than a cover. This is quirky and just plain fantastic. Sometimes it takes a reinterpretation to really get the meaning of a song -- like Joan Baez singing "Shout" by Tears for Fears at Amnesty International concert was the first time I actually really listened to the lyrics.
