  • wow !

what a cool video. I'm from England we don't have anything like that ricemellow, but there is a usa shop about 70 miles from where i live, that i think sells ricemellow it's 9 dollars a jar i hope it tastes good :)

  • awesome. i bet its a lot better than using regular marshmallows.

  • i'll be making this tomorrow and i am soo eager! i looked up your video as a visual reference. thanks so much for sharing! =)

  • You look tall in this video. Are you about 5'10" tall? I can't convert that into metrics off the top of my head. Metrics is much cooler. I'm 2.03m tall! :)

(Yes, I look like a freak.)

  • I love getting food items in Canada, as they give me a free lesson in French on the packaging! :)

    Tu es belle!

  • Why do you make the lifestyle choice of being vegan? Just a curiosity, just why I don't get Christian beliefs.

  • actually, i'm not vegan. it's just a vegan recipe.

  • I LOVE YOU! that was awesome...let's go see if you have more recipes.

  • thanks but i live n singapore so theres no ricemellow creme

  • the video was great but i couldn't really follow the recipe because i live in singapore and there is no rice mellow creme!only this jetpuff marshmallow creme and its way too sweet!thanks again!!

  • Can you make rice krispie's with some real marshmellows and marshmellow cream? Will it taste good?! Please reply !!

  • yup! there are lots of recipes out there for regular rice krispie treats!! on the back of the rice krispie box and usually on the back of marshmallow packs. you can follow those recipes if you want to use regular marshmallows if you're not vegetarian or vegan. :) they'll taste great.

  • I made these the other night, came out better than I expected ...I even added some melted chocolate ;)..thanks

  • I recently found a tube of "Ricemellow" (It comes in strawberry flavor too ! )in a health store and it reminded me of your video :)

Thanks for posting this, can't wait to try it myself !

  • Wow! U look so cute making those krispies!

I wish i had a girl like u to make rice krispies together!

    Thanx for the recepie!

    - Jerry

  • COOL thanks soo much!!

  • yum

  • yum! i should make a batch soon... i wish i was eating them right now! :)

  • These are great! I just made them and formed them into little "eggs" so my kiddo could have a vegan Easter basket. I think we're going to dip the tops in chocolate (mmmm!). Also, if I can get a hold of any natural food dyes, I think next year I'll make colored "eggs". Thanks for the recipe!

  • that's so cute!!! great idea!! :)

  • You can buy ricemellow in stores. A well stocked healthfood stores will carry it, thats were I bought some.

I'm so happy I have a recipe to use mine in now! Thanks:)

  • I'm glad you enjoyed the recipe!! Thanks for the information! :D

  • WHATS A vegan. AND WHY CANOT YOU EAT GELATIN IT HAS NO MEAT MSG ME ON MY PG THANX

  • Gelatin is made from pig or cow. Usually pig.

  • A vegan is someone who doesn't eat animal products. Like a vegetarian, but they don't eat dairy products or eggs either.

  • you have the drew berrymore sound

  • YUM YUM!

  • :) glad you think it looks yummy!

  • Thank you soooo much! This was such a good idea! I love rice krispies!! Can't wait to try the recipe!

  • you're welcome! :)

  • how many rice krispie squares did your recipe make? and how big was your pan?

  • the pan was... hmm... the size it was in the video... i'm not sure the actual measurements. that recipe makes about 9 rice krispie squares.

  • thanx for the video. im gonna try to fine that creme

  • awesome! let me know if you're able to find it and how the recipe turns out :)

  • Oh yea I forgot to say...Great Video!☺

    I enjoyed it.☺

  • glad you liked the video :) :)

  • hmmm you are not from the US...but why don't you have an accent?☺

  • what sort of accent would i have?? i think everyone on the west coast sounds basically the same... the "Hollywood" accent...

but, go places other than the westcoast, anywhere in north america... and you start getting accents. like, the south in america. or the furthest east in canada.

  • just bought some of ricemellow from Whole Foods, super market, near home, and it turned out great!!

  • awesome!! :) that's great to hear

  • VEGAN rice kripsie treats? I officially fucking love you! *Saves to favorites* I'm not a vegan. I'm a vegetarian, but gelatin = NO! ... So, these look yummy! I'm going to have to try this.

  • yeah. I'm not vegan either, but I have been vegetarian since I was 11... so, a long time with no gelatin! Gelatin is the hardest thing to avoid too, it's in Everything.

  • My friend made up a recipe similar to this, but much easier. Use the same Ricemallow creme and Rice Krispies (Berry Rice Krispies, or Mickey Mouse Clubhouse cereal make them "Rainbow Rice Krispie treats." No butter. No heating. Just mix one tub of Ricemallow Cream + 4 cups of cereal, and spread in pan. Let sit awhile for setting. Works great!

  • awesome! thanks! :)

  • vegans also dont eat dairy products. butter is made from milf. so still not vegan.

  • Yeah, that's why I didn't use butter :)

  • oooh thanks for this! Post more vegan recipes please! :D

  • You're welcome :) I'll try!!

  • AFI is a vegan band, you know?

  • I've never heard of them before.

  • I have nothing against Vegans but if margarine is their only substitute for butter, then I'm never gonna eat anything vegan again. Margarine is one of the worst things you can eat.

  • no, it's not. i often use olive oil or sunflower oil in many of my recipes, or i use nut butters... or just no fat at all. in some recipes you can use things like apple sauce instead of adding fat, and then you have a fat-free recipe too!! :)

  • All that stuff you mentioned is fine and good but Margarine isn't.

  • Well... I can understand why you might feel that way about some margarines... but, like I said, vegans use lots of butter substitutes, not just margarine... so, check the ingredients before you eat something vegan to make sure it doesn't have anything you don't like in it and you'll likely be able to eat lots of vegan things! :)

  • Nut butter? hahaha

  • yeah :P

  • No. Unhealthy maragrine is bad. There are plenty of margarines out there that are MUCH better for you than butter.

Besides, even unhealthy margarine isn't "one of the worst things you can eat". McDonalds, Burger King, Taco Bell, and the rest of the fast food nation are.

  • I totally agree :)

  • would it matter if we used regular marshmellows??

  • well, they they wouldn't be vegetarian/vegan... they would just be regular rice krispie squares...

  • oh.lol.nvm then

  • no problem :)

  • love it!!

    simple delicious

    suport from chile :P

  • awe thanks!! :D

  • If you live in the US you can go to a lot of food stores and they have the healthy isle usually, that's where I get my rice puffs, and then I just add sugar :)

  • I don't live in the US, but thanks for the advice for all my US viewers! :D

  • oh. Nevermind. I should really watch the video before I comment. Sorry!

  • :) hehe it's okay!

  • Ummmm... Don't marshmallows contain gelatin?

  • That rice mallow cannot be good for you. I followed a vegan diet for 6 years to the detriment of my health. A vegan diet is very idealistic, but not ideal for all people.

  • regular rice krispies aren't good for you either :P

  • Yeah they are bad in general. Sugar can cause intestinal inflammation whether it's from cane syrup or rice syrup. It's weird that you replied today as I was just thinking about this comment earlier this afternoon as I was having stomach pains from a salad.

  • is the rice krispies ok in Hong Kong ?

  • yeah!i have been there and they kept buying me rice krispies and they are ok

  • I'd suggest writing in your info about the Vid that rice Krispies aren't Vegan! People get confused, and conpanies tend to sneak crap like D3 (animal derived) into cereals. :( Similar situation: I didn't know V8 wasn't vegan until a few days ago! Wtf?!?!?!

  • V8 eh? Odd. I don't drink V8 because it's gross... but! Good to know! I knew that some veggie drinks weren't because they had clam juice in them... but didn't know that about V8!

  • Also, I took your suggestion. I added your information to the video info! :) Just in case people don't read all the comments :)

  • Great! :D I live in the US and was sad because Rice Krispies are my favorite. :( I'll have them imported from Canada, hehheh.

  • Nice interesting post! But, have you seen what happens if you put diamonds in a blender? Check it out blend.lostfrog 'dot' com

  • haha.

  • wait, don't Krice krispies have vitamin D3?

  • vitamin D3?

  • yeah, vitamin D that's derived from cows...and kellog's cereals Do use it, i looked it up. Vitamin D2 isn't animal derieved, menaing that it's vegan. Using Kellog's rice krispies won't make it vegan.

  • oh... also... the recipe i made IS in fact vegan because i live in Canada and our Rice Krispies are better than your Rice Krispies apparently. I just checked and Canadian Rice Krispies contain a non-animal vit D. It doesn't come from cows for sure!!!

  • Just so you know, in Canada the vit D that in the Rice Krispies is D5 not D3.

  • yeah, ok...don't take it personal! That's pretty cool.

  • oh oh i wasn't taking it personally at all! i am really happy you let me know! :D

  • Yrah, unless you're from the UK, the US brand of Rice Krispies (and other puffed rice cereals) have d3 in them which is derived from Animals. that = not Vegan. Make sure you get Vegan puffed rice and you're coooool. :D

  • I wonder if the Canadian stuff is like the US stuff?

  • Vitamin D3 is one of the two vitamin D's that exist; There is D2 and D3. D2 Is Vegan and D3 isn't, and it's used in kellog's cereals btw...so that treat you're making isn't really vegan :/ sorry .

  • good to know! i'm a strict vegetarian, not vegan. i don't really know anyone who is that strict about it... most of my "vegan" friends still eat white sugar and honey. but! good to know for people who are trying to be strict vegans as opposed to strict vegetarians! there are lots of puffed rice products out there that are vegan though! so... still possible to make the recipe strictly vegan :) thanks for the info!

  • don't be sorry! always good to know :) and i'm never upset when i find out something isn't vegetarian or vegan... just happen that i know now. i think it's silly to get upset over something that you didn't know... i know some vegans who totally freak out if they find out they're eating something that has an animal product in it... i just think that when you find out, you should be happy that you know for the future! :)

  • i am going to try to get some of that mellow stuff. If i can i will make a video response of me making them and post it to you!

  • okay!! :)

  • Im also a vegan and I made these the other day from watching this and they turned out amazing! My whole family loved them and we had to make a whole nother batch. Thank you!

  • oh oh oh i'm so glad to hear that!! :) yay!!!

  • WOW Something Vegan that doesn't make me want to throw it up and eat a cow. :) I might actually try this one. Thanks

  • *giggles* oh i know what you mean... vegan stuff can be pretty gross! but, these tasted just like the "real thing"! and i'm not just saying that... because, i hate gross tasting things! yay! :)

  • :) too cute

  • "It smells like childhood" ... great line and very nice video! I just hope the "butter" didn't have trans fat ...

  • i am almost sure that it's trans fat free!

and thanks for the nice comments! :)

  • Oh yummy! They look so yummy! You are really tempting my tummy!

  • hehe :)

  • Mmm, looks delicious! This is totally a worthy experiment!

  • Oooohhh and they were delicious. I just finished off the entire pan today! Although, my little brother helped me out with eating them... so, it's not like I totally ODed on sugar or anything ;) heh.

  • Ahhh... Happiness truly must be eating an entire pan of delicious vegan Rice Krispies treats...

  • if you ever try out the recipe too, let me know what you think! :)

  • I am totally going to try this! I'm not even vegan, but it sounds way too tasty and fun not to. There's *got* to be somewhere in San Francisco that sells ricemellow creme. Will report back after an expedition to find it... :)

  • I think any sort of marshmallow creme would work just the same! And since your not vegan.. you could use it instead of fancy vegan ricemellow creme! regular marshmellow creme is just as yummy as the vegan stuff! :)

  • 'Suzanne's Ricemellow Creme' located! The local Whole Foods had it, but nobody there seemed to even know (1) what it is, or (2) that they actually had it. I anticipate it will soon be flying off the shelves as the 'Ricemellow Krispie Treats' phenomenon catches on. :)

  • sweet! i can only get it by ordering it off the internet... and it cost like $20 in shipping!!! you're lucky that they actually sell it at a STORE where you live! i wish i could buy it at a store...
