Clement, Sonic, Tails and Knuckles didn't think it would actually explode cuz what kind of genius with IQ of 300 would put a Self-Destruct button on their fortress?!
Also, Tails was the only one who said "I wonder why it exploded."
Also, I think Eggman was so mad because I think Metal Sonic was the one who actually made the Self-destruct switch on the fortresses.
Most people forget that the after-effect for Team Sonic's Team Blast has a name (Light Attack), but moreover, it's almost completely useless. If you use it, everything's dead anyway! How are you gonna find more enemies that you didn't kill before the bar runs out? There's only one enemy that I've ever used it on, and it's the helmet hammer bot in Mystic Mansion. The room before has plenty of enemies, you go in, kill him in one hit, and it's a closed room-- no glitches.

I think I know what they meant by the self destruct button. They thought it was the self-destruct button for the SHIP. Rather the Self-Destruct button Self-Destructed. Clearly Eggman has finally learned to use 80's villains greatest weakness to his advantage.

I've never heard of people getting killed doing the second Team Blast. I think that is part of bad luck, cause I've seen it work and sonic ends up safe and sound

It's programmed to send Sonic back to where he was when he initiated the attack. Of course, it was never fully implemented properly, and so often screws up. Of course, if you know how to manipulate AI the right way, it actually becomes pretty useful. In fact, I'm working on a Sonic-only run of Mystic Mansion right now that utilizes the Light Attack for much of its tricks.
You know, with the ? help icons and such... I can almost imagine it as, "Hey, this says, Self-Destruct. Let's push it!" *boom!* "Wait, Eggman /actually/ made a self destruct switch? It wasn't a trap?"

I LOVE the theme for Team Sonic! It has a great message to it, "Stick with your friends, no matter what" sounds a little cheesy but I like it, plus the song is just great in general! =)
About the light-attack (team blast cool off) making Sonic kill himself, there is a way to avoid it: instead of using Sonic, use Tails or Knuckles to THROW Sonic: the effect is the same (kills everything) but since you are either Tails or Knuckles, it doesn´t matter if Sonic falls by himself.

I wish thed give some dignity to Amy, UK comic the only medium that ever did and even then only 1 or 2 of the writers really did anything cleaver. many of them went the 2D action girl in the middle (which was still better than rabid game amy, but didnt mesh and wasnt very deep or intresting) after the good writers left (because they cost too much) but last minute they came back

Ok so heres a bit of a spoiler, because well, I played this game a few years ago...on the PS2! (dom dom doooom) Basicly in Level select mode, or was it Extra mode? anyway, Each team has challenge levels which also demand to be compleated. It dose depend on which team you use also. Basicly Team Sonics Challenge is to get through Each of the levels within a set perioud of time, Dark demands you beat 100 Enemys, Rose I think is also time, Chaotix has harder missions.
Two things, I could be wrong, and I may have missed you hear it, but can't you flip the helmet off of the big mallet guys with sonics tornado attack? Also, assuming you plan on skipping team dark, I'm all for you skipping it, but maybe you could throw together some clips of them saying memorable quotes, attacks, characters and whatnot like that. You still give us viewers something while not needing to make yourself commentate on the exact same thing.

Actually, I think the Egg Emperor looks mighty close to his robotic bat-winged suit from the Sonic the hedgehog anime movie. That too shot out missles, but at the same time it had a flail instead of a sword and shield.

I think Team Sonic is actually more surprised that Eggman put a GIANT, WORKING, and UN-TRAPED self destruct switch, in his base, and then question why he would do that.

You can take on the Egg Emperor in the 3DS version of Generations. However, Generations' color scheme is much brighter to its original appearance.It took me back a bit; nostalgia has a way of making things seem more awesome than they actually were, but at least my suspicions weren't far off.
It also occured to me that the Egg Emperor bears a vague resemblance to the MSN-04 Sazabi of Gundam fame, but that might just be a coincidence. ;)
dammit i was hoping clement would do the knuckles/omega method instead of the cheap method er well semi cheap since the cheap method involves holding the fly button down and turning left and right while using thunder shoot,while the knucles/omega method consists of getting them to level 3 (very easy) and use the ground and around eggman so the fire balls do all the work
Having played Sonic heroes before, I have seen all this before, and I must having Clement's hilarious commentary makes it worth sitting through it all again.
Have you considered using Tails to thunder shoot Sonic during the Team Blast depletion? It has the same effect except, since Tails is the lead, Sonic getting hurt has no effect. You've actually done this before. Also Clement doesn't need to be defended I'm just putting in my two cents not complaining). Also, I question Eggman's thought process. What exactly is the purpose of having a self-destruct switch? Also, congrats on not failing on the laser part. I was always too slow and died, lol.
Also on a side-note, I never knew there was a special cool-down attack so it really must not be that significant that people would just freakin love it but apparently that's not the case.
Maybe you could have a Q/A for the fourth playthrough like you did with Mega Man 7 8-Bit? We could ask you questions on the Sonic franchise and whatnot.
@BlastedOne52 He's used it before. I think it's the part before this he uses it on a robot. Sonic just says "Blast away!" and homes onto and kills every enemy in a large radius. It's nothing too spectacular.

Ok so heres a bit of a spoiler, because well, I played this game a few years ago...on the PS2! (dom dom doooom) Basicly in Level select mode, or was it Extra mode? anyway, Each team has challenge levels which also demand to be compleated. It dose depend on which team you use also. Basicly Team Sonics Challenge is to get through Each of the levels within a set perioud of time, Dark demands you beat 100 Enemys, Rose I think is also time, Chaotix has harder missions.

Two things, I could be wrong, and I may have missed you hear it, but can't you flip the helmet off of the big mallet guys with sonics tornado attack? Also, assuming you plan on skipping team dark, I'm all for you skipping it, but maybe you could throw together some clips of them saying memorable quotes, attacks, characters and whatnot like that. You still give us viewers something while not needing to make yourself commentate on the exact same thing.

Actually, I think the Egg Emperor looks mighty close to his robotic bat-winged suit from the Sonic the hedgehog anime movie. That too shot out missles, but at the same time it had a flail instead of a sword and shield.

You can take on the Egg Emperor in the 3DS version of Generations. However, Generations' color scheme is much brighter to its original appearance.It took me back a bit; nostalgia has a way of making things seem more awesome than they actually were, but at least my suspicions weren't far off.
It also occured to me that the Egg Emperor bears a vague resemblance to the MSN-04 Sazabi of Gundam fame, but that might just be a coincidence. ;)

dammit i was hoping clement would do the knuckles/omega method instead of the cheap method er well semi cheap since the cheap method involves holding the fly button down and turning left and right while using thunder shoot,while the knucles/omega method consists of getting them to level 3 (very easy) and use the ground and around eggman so the fire balls do all the work

Have you considered using Tails to thunder shoot Sonic during the Team Blast depletion? It has the same effect except, since Tails is the lead, Sonic getting hurt has no effect. You've actually done this before. Also Clement doesn't need to be defended I'm just putting in my two cents not complaining). Also, I question Eggman's thought process. What exactly is the purpose of having a self-destruct switch? Also, congrats on not failing on the laser part. I was always too slow and died, lol.

@BlastedOne52 He's used it before. I think it's the part before this he uses it on a robot. Sonic just says "Blast away!" and homes onto and kills every enemy in a large radius. It's nothing too spectacular.
