No right is absolute, and your freedom ends, on your neighbor freedom rights. As freedom of speech ends as soon as you step on others rights: honor, privacy….etc
What you are mentioning, and the only possible way for absolute freedom, is Anarchy. Were people will interrelate in peace, once given absolute freedom, with no rules, due to personal will, not regulations.
I am an anarchist, what are you? if USA, that is a policial goverment with more rules than any other O.O
Freedom of speech is about the ability to express who you are. I have addressed this in previous video, in which I actually address a lot of the points you make here.
Yelling fire is a far cry from sharing an opinion about a religion , faith, culture, or whatever.
Liable and slander is a far cry from being able to share your view and opinions about a religion , faith, culture, or whatever.
Free Speech rights are constantly challenged and constantly defended. One needs to simply look at recent history with dictatorships and a lack of free speech rights to understand the value in protecting it.
@FrankieArts Opinions on religion and slander, libel and yelling fire are all the same: the ability to say something.
If yelling fire can cause deaths because of how the people react, so can insulting religion. Why is one allowed and the other not when they both cause harm and injury?
You realize by now that freedom doesn't exist. It is a myth. What does exist is liberty, which is different from freedom. Freedom is the lack of restriction while liberty is with restriction.
I think/hope that laws are made with the intention of being followed by rational people. It is unfortunate that some unrational folks make negative statements/threats about people and religions. However, those of us that use rational thought avoid actiona where any harm to any person is avoided

@TemoinsGirl Simple. What you mentioned is not freedom, it is called liberty. Freedom is the lack of restrictions; liberty is with restrictions.

If everyone was rational we actually wouldn't need laws. We only have laws for problems we can't solve yet.
