  • Greg Allman= Best white Blues singer of all time...

  • soullllllllllllllllllllllllllll!!!!

  • I too have always wished Dickey's solo had gone on until he decided to stop playing. He makes that guitar scream!

I ran the idea by my computer science expert son-in-law, wondering if it was possible to make a program that would create what the solo would sound like had they kept the tape machine rolling. He said that would be a tough (*if not impossible*) program to create. Still, the other comment about there must be some tape in their vault with the rest of the solo and song. If only! :)

  • One of the finest treatments of this tune AN OF THE BLUES! "YUM" and thank you for the post.

  • Thank you so much for this.

  • @TheseHipsDontLie87 Dont mention it, pleasure is all mine.

    Have a nice day.

    Vanu.

  • Some songs are just too short.......

  • Allman Briothers are a tight band - and as for that piano, what!! Feel sorry for the majority who have never heard of them.

  • Only 8500 views???? At least there are 8500 people in the world who realize what music is really all about.

  • @lukecha09 Now you got a mission!!!!..spread the word around!!!!...lol..

    Have a nice day.

    Vanu.

  • Dickey Betts is the man, only 2nd to Duane Allman and no one else, in my book.

  • Outstanding video brother, every time I hear this rendition by the Allmans/Betts time just stops, what a song. Like others said, this should have gone on for another 10 minutes. Check out Jimy Hendrix "Nine to the Universe" for some serious jamming as well. Thanks again for the great video!!

  • @CWB5280 Youre welcome and there must be more on that tape after the fade out!!!!Lets ask Dickey!!!..lol...

    Have a nice day.

    Vanu

  • @Mr31760 Ye dam right, brother...!!!

    Have a nice day.

    Vanu.

  • WOW ! Thanks for posting one of my all time favorite Allman Brothers tunes ! It boggles my mind to think of a band that had two lead guitarists the caliber of Duane and Dickie. Take care and God Bless.

  • I always wanted to hear where this solo goes next. They ran out of vinyl space, and I guess the original masters are lost. I'll bet they went on playing for another 10 minutes. They did when this was live on stage. He's just about to catch on fire when the fade starts.

  • This is an old Billy Eckstein blues from the 1940s. Those boys ahve deep roots. Long live the ABB. And Dickey!!!

  • Great end solo. Gives me goose bumps every time I hear it. Thanks for posting.

  • he best damn blues song ever recorded . Great job on the slide show.

  • awesome song cool slide show

    Thanks

  • It's happened before and it's going to happen again.Despite their differances ,these two are The ALLMAN BROTHERS BAND ! As far as THE DIXIE PISTOL's concerned.Come on Brothers,Let's make it soon.Time dont wait for nobody.

  • Never tire of hearing this one.. music you can just sit back, eyes closed and listen too as opposed to the loud, brash music of today.

Thanks for posting as a video response.. you've got some great tunes uploaded. including this one! made a sub outta me.

  • I am a huge fan of the Allman Brothers, but, this is the first time I have heard this gem!! Thanks for posting!!

  • Hi scholar,

Youre welcome brother, try the whole cd. Too bad we lost Duane!!

    Peace!!

    Vanu!

  • @vanu49 And Berry too.

  • First time that I listen this song. I'm currently 'exploring' songs that I've never listen. Good song!

  • Well bluesrockfan1, as you already know, Youtube is the place to get access to great music. Keep exploring. Good music give people an opportunity to connect and in the end, maybe we will live in peace.

    Take care!!

  • @vanu49 Nice comment, V, to bad all people don't listen to this "kind of music", maybe the world would be a more peaceful one. l.l

  • I haven't listened to this in years,thanks V !

  • Youre welcome T. Dickey Betts really knows how to carry a tune!!

  • Nice Vanu. I bet you were playing air guitar to this one.

  • Haha, well almost Screwmaster, I play the guitar myself, but i'll never get near Dickey and thats no shame, I think!!

    Have a nice day.
