pretty nice croc, you got there... I just saw this now... you guys in Australia sure are lucky. I'm studying biology in college and all the fauna I'm interested in: crocs, snakes, lizards, sharks, you can find it somewhere in Australia. And about the year old argument (sorry guys, couldn't pass that up), in this world there are the predators and the prey and, I don't know about you, but I prefer to side with the predators so that, by understanding their ways I can avoid a very lethal surprise...
IMO, intentionally killing an animal is never humane unless there is a good reason for it (like if it's badly injured and in pain). And crocodiles belong in the wild, not in people's houses.
IMO your an idiot. this crocodile is used for educational displays to help teach the public about crocodiles and Australia's native fauna. he was rescued from a crocodile farm, where by now, he would have been made into a handbag and eaten.
so you dont have any pets? at all? all animals belong in the wild, dogs, cats, hermit crabs, but the fact is they dont, why is a croc any different to them? just because it eats meat from other animals, theres no difference between killing a purpose bred cow to feed yourself and killing a purpose breed mouse to feed an animal. the mouse doesnt feel any pain. its exactly the same as you feeding yourself on meat. the only difference is, the croc doesnt eat vegetables aswell so he has more reason.
@drgnfrc13 Supply and Demand, if you stop eating meat, less animals will be killed. You're pathetic, don't preach what you don't follow. All cats and dogs were wild, people weren't born with pets, do you think it's okay for people to have birds? fish? why not reptiles? Turtles and birds eat live food, yet you're not bitching about that. The mouse humanely killed, the croc and the mouse have been cared for. Much better than they would in the wild, the mouse is lucky. In the wild it wouldn't last.
@JacobLynagh Do you realize that you butted into an arguement that we had well over a month before your comment? I guess your head was too far up your ass for you to notice.
@ccckkkmmm69 I believe I already explained that I am NOT a vegetarian 5 MONTHS AGO, dumbass. I've been done with this arguement since last April and yet you still feel the need to bring it back up again? Next time, take a look at the date of the comment before leaving a smartass reply,
@ccckkkmmm69 First of all, do you really find it surprising that I replied to your insulting comment? Yes I WAS done with the arguement, but now you've brought it up again (doesn't take a genius to figure that out). And I'm not even going to address the rest of that comment, if you care to see what I think of that, just look at the original arguement betweeen me and mckellar007. You basically just repeated everything he said.
@ccckkkmmm69 Tough? I'm not acting tough, I am "acting" annoyed. And about the rest of that, all I have to say is: Are you on drugs, or is that just your rediculously immature sense of humor?
@ccckkkmmm69 And actually, now that I've read your entire post, what I'm wondering is why you are acting so tough over the internet, and pretending to know me. How old are you anyway? 10? 12?
@drgnfrc13 Its all good and well to be sitting over in the USA but travel the world a bit or even just walk out side and work out what nature is. People do not own crocs as pets but as part of zoos etc to teach people (as ignorant as yourself) about the wildlife. You honestly have no idea about wildlife - it's even not uncommon to see cattle eating eggs or bird chicks off low branches. Get out of your appartment and come to Australia before you comment on what life is like here.
@gnarkillkicksass WTF do you know about the things I do or don't know? I know all I need to know about nature (probably more than you unless you are a biology or ecology major, or something along those lines). There is nothing natural about killing animals so you can feed them to your other animals, that is called playing God no matter how you look at it, and posting smartass replies to a nearly 1 year old arguement is not going to change my opinion.
@gnarkillkicksass And you all think you can justify putting large exotic animals on public display by claiming it to be educational, but the reality of it is that the majority of the human population does not know or care to know anything about exotic animals, all they are interested in is that they are seeing an animal that they do not usually see in person, which leads to thoughts like "I wonder what it would take to own one of these", which is obviously does nothing to benefit the species.
@drgnfrc13 Don't expect the Australian public, who do actually have a huge interest in our native wildlife as do the tourists who come here, to have the same attitude and ignorance towards animals as people where you live. It is actually EXTREMELY difficult for anyone to own a native species and no one can do it as personal pets. Secondly I cannot fathom that you would spend a year on a youtube arguement perhaps that year would be better spent actually getting off the computer and going outside?
@gnarkillkicksass I have never been to Australia, so I can't comment on that part of your comment, but I can say that after reading the last sentence of that comment I am questioning your level common sense. Do you honestly believe that I have spent the last year doing nothing but argueing with idiots on youtube? I said this was a 1YEAR OLD arguement, I didn't say it has lasted for a year.
@gnarkillkicksass The arguement originally spanned maybe a week, then 5 months after it was already ended another ass just like you decided to bring it up again as if they actually had anything to do with the arguement in the first place, and now you have done it again after another 5 months of inactivity. The only reason I am on here now is because whenever someone comes along and decides to put their 2 cents into the conversation, I get a notification of it on my profile.
@drgnfrc13 mckellar007 is well known for his work in communities and with children. He teaches people how to react instead of a knee-jerk reaction of fear and ignorance that you so proudly tout like a peacock on display. Our natives animals are important to us, unlike the foreigners who come to this country, and spread lies and arrogance (especially on youtube.) You should seriously consider shutting the hell up next to you decide to run your mouth.
@CrystalRemnant Yeah, uh... I don't remember anything about "touting a knee-jerk reaction of fear and ignorance"....... but anyway, you obviously lack the reading comprehension skill to understand the opinion I was trying to convey, so why don't you just shut the fuck up and get a life. Seriously what makes you idiots believe you are making any difference in anything by leaving smart assed replies to a year old arguement? GET A LIFE.
@drgnfrc13 How about you read your own fucking posts? You go on about how keeping 'exotic' animals is dangerous, how feeding mice to crocodiles is inhumane, and other nonsense only a pathetically uneducated idiot would think was "intelligent." I was replying to your post made only a few weeks ago, but it's clear you're still "butthurt" over making yourself look like a complete fool.
@CrystalRemnant Your arguement is completely unfounded. I never said anything about crocs being dangerous. And I am not "butthurt" (wow, that word sounds extremely gay), I am just sick of having to deal with retarded dipshits like you.
@drgnfrc13 You're the retarded "dipshit" here. You go on and on about PESTS being fed to an animal that otherwise would've been turned into a handbag at a crocodile farm (and yes, it was explained in the comments.) You have no idea what you're talking about, but you continue to defend a well discounted ideology. (Google butthurt, by the way. Everyone but you seems to know what it means, dumb ass.) If anything I should be sick of having to deal with you. However, idiots amuse me.
@CrystalRemnant Amazing. I am the ignorant one, yet you are claiming that domesticated mice are pests...
And you say you find idiots amusing? What amuses me (and annoys the shit out of me at the same time) is when idiots like you try to claim that the people who actually know and CARE about animals are the idiots.
And on another note, I never said I didn't understand what you meant by "butthurt", I just said that it sounds gay, which it does.
@drgnfrc13 Mice ARE pests. Regardless if they're "domesticated" (which is a nice way of saying "pretty") or not. I care about them the same way I care about cattle; they're sweet/cute/whatever you want to call them, but they're part of the food chain. In the wild mice are eaten by EVERYTHING. They are prey for every omnivorous/carnivorous animal out there. What makes a domesticated version any more special? Because you're feeling weepy? Need a tampon, big boy?
@CrystalRemnant And you are not the one having to deal with anything. YOU are the one who brought up a year old arguement FOR A THIRD TIME! If you don't want to "deal" with me, then don't throw your stupid ass into my arguement that should have been over with last year.
@drgnfrc13 I was responding to a post made JUST A FEW WEEKS AGO. Dumbass. As I said, idiots amuse me and you're amusing the hell out of me on what would've been and extremely long and boring day.
@CrystalRemnant Yes, a post from a few weeks ago that was about a year old arguement. I really didn't expect you to find that such a difficult concept to grasp.
And I'm glad you're so easily amused. If I was stuck with such a simple mind as yours, I probably would have killed myself a long time ago. :)
@drgnfrc13 Although at least if I was in that position and killed myself, that would prevent me from killing other animals "humanely" repeatedly for the rest of my life.
@drgnfrc13 Hey, guess what? I'm done with you. My friends got a kick out of how inane you really are, but time to go. Just know that I'll humanely kill the next five mice in your honor :) Just because I can.
@CrystalRemnant Well congratulations. Why don't you and your other "intelligent" friends go get drunk and shoot bottle rockets out of your assholes? (you sound like the type that would do that sort of thing)
@drgnfrc13 Dude shut the fuck up. This croc would have never lasted in the wild or on a farm. Just because you don't think it's not right to have it in captivity, doesn't mean that your right. Would you like to live on a farm for a couple months then get killed, eaten, and made into a handbag? Or, would you like to live in the wild for maybe a week and get eaten? NO! That's what I thought!!!
@drgnfrc13 Hey I bet you feel tough behind your keyboard, fuckhead!!!! I could care less how old this argument is. It has nothing to do with anything!!!!
@TheChevelleKid Tough? Wait a minute... where are you getting that I "feel tough?" If I felt tough, I would be saying stupid shit like "Hey I bet you feel tough behind your keyboard, fuckhead!!!!!" No, I don't "feel tough", I feel annoyed because I'm arguing with an idiot about whether it even makes sense to be arguing in the first place.
@TheChevelleKid And I deleted my first commen (and the others that went with it, in case you were too stupid to figure that out) because apparently youtube has no shortage of dipshits who are willing to argue about anything regardless of how old the arguement is or how much anyone else really still cares about the issue that had originally been disputed.
@TheChevelleKid I figure at least if half of the original arguement is no longer available, people like you will be less likely to share their ignorant opinions and assinine insults.
@TheChevelleKid Yeah definitely, I should have known better than to think that I'm more aware of my own intentions than some random kid on youtube. But seriously, get a fucking life, you are not accomplishing anything by continuing this argument and adding on extra immature insults.
@TheChevelleKid Yes, actually you are, but look, I'm done arguing. We are getting nowhere, so if you refuse to end this, I'll do it myself. Have a nice life.
@drgnfrc13 Hey I bet you feel tough behind your keyboard, fuckhead!!!! I could care less how old this argument is. The age has nothing to do with anything!!!!
