  • @supercupcakeee yes he jumps everywhere!

  • @lovekire now i want one :D theyre cute AND THEY JUMP :D:D:D:D:D:D

  • @MDSCUSTOMS Our wee Kelpie x Blue heeler (Mum purebreed kelpie/dad purebreed blue heeler) Looked very much like the pup on this video. Her ears were the same. They were droopy for about 4 months, then one of them started to stick up and about 8 months both did. :) Was very cute.

These are very smart dogs. Learn very quickly, but are also extremely stubborn.

  • Drop la?

  • great puppy!!! Original like my Chica when she was on this age!!! :-)) See here Videos and you will imaging what thea will become....

  • now that like my dog i say if you are going to get a dog u get a dog not a jack russel i hate all small dogs but border collies and kilpies are the best dogs ever

  • Totally agree, we had a kelpie cross collie until recently. He was 13 years old and still really healthy (died in an accident) they are great dogs but they need a LOT of exersize.

  • Aww this reminds me of my kelpie Nico when she was a pup...they sure are great dogs.

  • That does look like it's 8 weeks old as we have got an 8 week old Kelpie puppy and she looks much the same!

  • as both a lover and a trainer of these doggs.... i must say your tactics for training are ineffective. once u give her a comand, do not repeat urself if she doesnt do it. just simply walk over and nudge her to sit by pushing her but down. if u repeat the command instead, she will learn that she doesnt have to do it always when u say and she will think hey hes just gonna keep sayin it so ill sit when i want to

  • haha. 8 weeks! I don't think so!

And pure breed, also don't think so!

    Cute though =]

  • what a lovely dog

  • beautiful kelpie :)

  • That's not a pure bred and it is not 8 weeks old.

  • my dog is 1 yr and 8 months old, a kelpie that I got from the pound, and I now live in an apt in phoenix, for an active breed of dog he sure is lazy lol and he doesn't even like balls or any kind of chew toys, or very many chew treats. at the dog park he just sniffs at other dogs and sticks by me.

  • Hmm.

Adorable puppy but you need to work a bit on your training methods treat rewards actually get the pup wanting to do the command. Tigga seemed a bit reluctant because she doesnt really get much of a reward for doing thos tricks anyways so why should she do them?

  • oh we always do, just that time we don't have any on me coz ready to take him for a walk =)

  • Ohkay Then.

Thats good he looks well looked after and as for the people who say you shouldnt have a Kelpie in the city well I will repeat that its fine to have a Kelpie in the city as long as they get the needed Daily Walks and Mental stimulation:)

  • To TomTheCo

    I rest my case.

  • How do you know they are from the city? Not every house in the country is on a farm or property...

Regardless - you're WRONG Bimboblambo - Kelpie's are fine in the city, provided they get adequate exercise and stimulation. Just like ANY breed living in the city.

I've owned two kelpies in the suburbs and they are happy, healthy dogs.

And "City slickers"? "Fluffy toilet brushes"? Pffft. Whatever!

P.S - I was born and raised in a country town (but learned to stop being small minded!)

  • Well if the dog has a big backyard, plenty of stimulation and a long daily walk then theres nothing wrong with it.

  • do u need to crop its ears or will it grow on its own

  • no you won't need to not like dobermans. their ears will automatically come up

  • Not trying to be nasty but this is not the way to give commands to a dog. you will get much better results if you learn the correct way at a good obedience school. Kelpies are a very intelligent dog and will pick things extremely quickly. This dog could be doing what it's instructed first time if done properly, even at this young age.

  • i own a kelpie he is 25 weeks old as of the 14th november 2007, we got him when he was 5 weeks old and he looks axactly like the one in the video, he is a huge part of our lives now and we taught him the same tricks at the same age you did. they are extremely inteligent dogs and i am very glad my partner decided to get one, i've always wanted a kelpie. this video shows how quick they are at learning.

  • this cant be a four week old puppy... look at the size. I say 2 months.Maybe three...

  • Give this pup the love and attention it

deserves and it will continue to amaze

you for the rest of its life.

-occasionally, it will also drive you nuts!

    a kelpie owner

  • this is NOT a 4 week old puppy! a one month old puppy has hardly any teeth, still is nursing, can't hardly walk about, and does not 'look" like this. the pup's closer to 10 weeks old. still cute, though. kelpies are such clever dogs-i have an ACD.

  • awsome

  • thats adorable!!
