I think a lot of Christians have never been exposed to the supernatural. So many Christians are accustomed to not having the presence of God at their service that they simply can't accept and digest what God's presence is like when He releases the anointing on His people. I don't think people thinking the apostles were drunk meant they were acting just like people drunk with wine, but rather, they were acting in a way the observers found abnormal. So they just assumed they were drunk.
In the original language, the Scripture should read: "Do not be influenced by wine, but be influence by the Holy Spirit". It doesn't mean fall all over and laugh hysterically, it means to behave in a Godly way, rather than a corrupt, sinful, uncontrollable way.

@davdjams Google Ken Copeland Mason. Unfortunately,.he preaches a false gospel.. For example, God is the Great I Am. Only God can declare this. Copeland says," I am, too!" That saying comes straight out of Masonry.
Stay with scriptures and pray for discernment. Christians must be careful. 2nd Timothy 4: 2 and 3.

I don't think people thinking the apostles were drunk meant they were acting just like people drunk with wine, but rather, they were acting in a way the observers found abnormal. So they just assumed they were drunk.
In the original language, the Scripture should read: "Do not be influenced by wine, but be influence by the Holy Spirit". It doesn't mean fall all over and laugh hysterically, it means to behave in a Godly way, rather than a corrupt, sinful, uncontrollable way.

Seems to me a lot of people need some hyper emotional experience to validate the work of the Holy Spirit in their lives. this is indeed sad. But to those who say healing, and tongues, etc is not of God anymore, you are missing the Scriptures. JESUS DIED SO WE WOULD BE HEALED. If we are filled with the Holy Spirit we will do all the good things that Jesus did. Satan cannot bring good, only God can. If someone prays for someone and they are benefited, it is CERTAINLY of God.

This happened to me a few years back could never explain it but I knew it was from the Lord after I laughed for almost 2-3 hours straight I felt so much peace from all the anxiety and depression I was in.A cheerful heart is good medicine, but a crushed spirit dries up the bones.
