I well remember seeing Richard Todds 3 early films at the cinema, The Hasty Heart, A Man 'Called Peter and the Dam Buster. All of which I enjoyed so much I have DVD's of bo the the Hasty Heart and the Dam Busters.

Although he was 'Underlisted' in 'A Hasty Heart' because Ronal Reagan was a 'Star', He lead the fim and when he appeared in 'Dam Buster' and 'A man called Peter', there was no disputing Richard Todd was a true 'Star' and Leading man.

This quality shone in everything he did to the end

A war hero and Nominated for an Oscar as an actor and yet BAFTA decided he was not famous enough to include in the list of actors that died this year. I think it is disgusting such a man was left out.

It is appalling that this great man was never awarded a Knighthood. Mick Jagger, Paul McCartney, Elton John and Roger Moore all have knightnoods just because they are more famous.
