This is what can happen when you hire the Cheapest guy for the "most important day of your life". I used to night owl as a DJ when I lived in Seattle. I can't believe how many people would say that we were too expensive at $450.00 and would hire one of the infamous local $150.00 guys. So many people don't seem to appreciate that you get what you pay for.

Correct, but sometimes yelling it's needed. I've never seen her yell. She always have both parties ramble on their complains and maintains no order. Uphold the law? sure. If she were a cop, she wouldn't use a gun even when needed. Her character is too soft. She doesn't have much control of the court room. Would you want to have her be your judge on your litigation? Would you want to be constantly interrupted by the other side when you try to explain the case? She has no charisma as a judge.
His price wasn't the problem, he was. I can't even charge as much as he did for this wedding where I live, but you can bet I would have showed up, and if some disaster happened on the day of the event that absolutely prevented me from showing up, I would have been on the phone letting them know, and doing whatever I could to arrange another reputable DJ to be there, which is a reason why I network, and they would have definitely gotten every dime back immediately, or transferred to my stand in.

I even made the next weekends Wedding and amazed the Bride and Groom that I was even there! All because I had made a promise to those people. And the comments on here about her being fat are stupid because every girl deserves her DREAM WEDDING! A large CD collection/big speakers does not make you a DJ!

His pricing should be determined by his business plan. Brides go with a reputable company and stay away from cheap services like this. Vendors like this can RUIN your day!
You are a good guy Rob, but that is a bit of self-promotion. There are a lot of really good single owner DJ's out there, who give really good service. Does Briansredd not provide a good service? Yet he is a solo act as well. Are you going to tell me that I do not provide a good service, because I don't have a team of DJ's under me? This guy was a loser, that does not reflect all DJ's as a whole.
No self-promo, there're many single ops that own companies & do great. These single ops have a reputation, & I'm sure you or Brian would fall into this category.
When a check it made to a company it doesn't mean they have many DJs, it means they use a DBA, articles of org, or they operate as a sole prop. This ensures both parties are protected under a contract. I'm a firm supporter of the DJ industry.
I will stand behind my remark, "Vendors that promise & don't deliver ruin weddings."
If I could DJ a wedding, I'd blow out the couples ears with some Electro House and Dubstep.
