The version by Lorrenna McKennit is on the third movie (Final Dimension, which came out in 1994) during the time that Connor is in Scotland (during the training/sword smithing sequence).

Then when they did the Homeland (1995) episode for the series they just reused the song but recast the vocals. I think I remember something about they (the show) couldn't afford to pay for the music copyrights from the version in the 3rd film, but since it is a folk tale the lyrics are not copyrighted.

I always thought Methos was downplayed too much, here he was this badass with a vast amount of wisdom and knowledge yet they only show him kind of bumbling through duncans life, even in a childish, weak sort of way sometimes. I think they could have done much better with his character making him into a sort of walking Tao teh ching, beyond the mistakes of Duncan and younger immortals yet holy and powerful still.

T_T so sweet! I love this song, and I love Methos and have ever since i was little and sneaking downstair to watch Highlander after I was supposed to be in bed XD I'm torn between have "Chivalry" be my favorite episode, or "Till Death" cause in both of them we see that he really does care about Duncan. Why else would he take Kristine's head, or incur the wrath of a married woman, something he's spent 2000yrs avoiding? If that isn't love, nothing is. LOL.

I just love how duncan and methos go so well.

They start a bit shaken, but they friendship evolve throught the series, and become a strong bond. Both duncan anrdmethos complete each other.

I think in the end of the series duncan is the only friend methos had in a very long time.
