I remember this game, I had a copy of it but the cartridge was somehow messed up. My character would fall through the platforms and randomly die. Despite that, I still made it to level 3.
There was a ninja game on the nes where you had to collect little white orbs and every time you did your karate gi would change colors. You also had to fight guys that came from the trees that looked like raiden. One hit from a ninja star could kill ya as well. Does anyone remember the name of this game? It was a real pisser.
Thanks for posting this! Yeah the boss battles and the world map look so much cooler than in Yo! Noid which I happen to have (they sold it in Latin America too) I can hear that the music is different too.
@D3vinSawhog it depends on which was better, the original or the slap on. (I call it the Doki Doki effect since to me, Mario 2 US is more enjoyable than Doki Doki Panic.)
Although the boss battles are similiar to the pizza eating contests, I noticed some differences, namely that your character is on the right side, instead of the left.(plus different items)
Americans wins all the war i.e WWII..because they join the war nearing the end, where other countries resources are already depleted from the war. u guys lost vietnam. the war against iraq is on a grey area.
Capcom of America decided that Kamen no Ninja:Hamaru is "Too Japanese" for the US so they change it and release it in the US as Yo Noid starring the Noid the former claymation mascot of Domino's Pizza who tries to ruin pizza.
The non-Japanese divisons of Japanese game companies still to this day think we are uneducated idiots sadly. That is why I import games in the first place.
Well most americans are actually uneducated idiots. Not all of them, there are plenty of smart ones but its hard to find them when they are surrounded by idiots
@Xifihas I have to agree, and I myself am an American. Most of the kids my age spend their time in low-intelligence tasks, such as cramming those stupid headphones into their ears and listening to the craptastic music of today. I spend my time doing something that's at least a wee more "smarter"- vintage game collecting. It's at least something that hardly any kid pays attention too- since all they can do is fap to their Xbox 360 and the current-gen graphics.
This game is perfectly playable without knowing any Japanese. : D Especially, if you have played the Yo! Noid game, aside from the story (which can be found on gamefaqs probably) you already know how this game works.
My favorite game whn I was 9...

Don't you hate it when they take a perfectly good game and just change the graphics and release it as a new product?

German-Asian here.

@MattZSparks does it matter when they took a competent game and ruined it by making it a tie in with a pizza company of all things?

Plus that the objective in Yo! Noid is to fill the gain points while in this one the objective is to drain the opponent's.

I love the Boss music for this one. Yo Noid's is a bit generic to me.

Thanks for posting this! I always wondered what the Japanese game that YoNoid was based on had looked like!

A rather unusual looking game. Kinda strange as to why they bothered to change it when it was brought to the states.
KyosukeShigeru 4 years ago 2
Capcom may have thought it would be "Too Japanse" for the states.

This and its american counterpart are good regardless of why.

Too bad if no one knows Japanese, most Japanese games are nigh-unplayable, like this game called Far East of Eden.
