  • no turbo pst? :( still jeoluse wsh my r18 was turbo'd

  • how much power u getting to the wheels? hp and torque? good job

  • can u get a wot box for this or something where u dont have to take ur foot off the throttle?

  • SISISISISISI

  • hey man, how much did everything cost you? what turbo kit did you end up going with? were you running 9 / 10 psi on stock internals? i haven't really looked into turbo kits but i'm thinking about turbo'ing my civic in a couple years when it's paid off. was going to get a genesis coupe but the economy is too damn shitty to hold a stable job haha. but yeah.. fuck the ignorant dumb ass haters haha

  • @iamElijah I had the TSI turbo kit, it is about 3,500 from websites but now comes with a better turbo and flashpro that is the best tuning option you can buy for this civics.. After it was all said and done i spend about 5k.. running on stock motor, i boosted up to 12psi on the stock blcok with the t25 turbo and no issues.. I ran the turbo for about a year.. If you are thinking about going turbo there are some new kits coming out full race and ajp, so wait those should make way more power.

  • @civicpride1986 cool, thanks for the info :)

  • @civicpride1986 flash PRO? for r18a1 no way..

last time i looked it up its only for k20 SI

  • how long have you boosted the car, and how reliable would say it is as a dd? could an r18 turbo be more usable in traffic/freeway driving under normal conditions than an si?

  • until u build and boost a D learn ur shit... or better yet, go spend a few more G's buildin ur slow ass 04+ civic to only get shit on..

  • Why will i like to build a d? i currently have a 1999 civic hatchback with a d16 and i won´t even spend money on that, i will do a swap to something worth my money, a b18 or a k20.. yes i could build my d16 to make power but why start with a motor that has no balls when i can start with something worth modding.

Currently my car is stock i sold the turbo kit and purchase a 1999 civic hatchback that i will be doing the swap on.. so go hate somewhere else.

  • Nobody's hatin I'm actually laughin at someone who would rather spend $6k on a swap than spend $2k or less and be 5x faster AND still be more of an underdog... Vitara built D's are runnin low 10's all day, that's a build that is less than $1k to do...

  • @JDMsohc yea cause if you dont build an boost a d you know nothing.....idiot

  • funny how an si can trap 95 mph stock. k20 is the way to go imo. anyways ,still a nice car.

  • Funny how an Si can´t run 14.5 stock.. the only reason i trap so slow was because i could not get traction with the tires i had.. i love both motors and i know the k20 has more potential but the R18 boosted is no joke..

  • the R18 boosted is more than a joke, it's a fuckin standup comedy session... i had my 04 coupe boosted for like 2 months until I got so disgusted I had to sell it, now my z6 boosted eg hatch is runnin an at lower boost (12lbs) it shits all over the D's B's R's an K's... Invest wisely youngin'....

  • For your info the 04 civics had a different motor then the 06 and up base civics.. d17 to r18.. two different things, and a z6 will not shit on build Bs or Ks motors.

  • @MAVERIK121973 built j for the win.jaja

  • @civicpride1986 they're are people that have managed low to mid 14's stock. It's all about the driver.

  • LX? EX?

its not an Si cuz ur thing is not red

  • It´s an LX

  • nice man. i also have a r18, trying to turbo it like you but dont wanna spend toooo much to turbo it. if you dont mind me askin... how much did it cost out the door to turbo yyours? i have a video up of mine

  • bad ass car but no matter what you say i can tell your a novice shifter... your doing what every one else does when they quite cant shift and floor a manual transmission. Which is when you shift you dont quite take your foot off the accelerater and it revs..

  • @timmunn1 lololol

  • @timmunn1 Nah... these newer civics have electronic throttle control, they have MASSIVE rev hang and lag. If you ever drove a new Si, they love to chirp tires because of their stupid rev hang.

  • hate to break it to u but that wasnt anywhere near mid 14s, more like mid 15s. work on your shifting n ull break 14s.

  • I ran 14.5 on that run and have the time slip to prove it, you are stupid if you can't see that..

  • why didnt u just get an SI?

  • stupid question but were you shifting at the redline?

  • No, i shift right before i know i am about to hit the redline, but since i could not get any traction the revs went up faster then my speed, i have a new set of tires that should give me some good traction, i am aiming for low 14's to high 13's on my next run..

  • it is a connection you have in your blow off where you connect it, please answer to me and how can i clam the maf sensor i need that for runing ok with my Civic TSI

  • well now i fixed my car, but having problems my tune is already finished but it hangs in 3500 rpm why? another question where do you connect the blow off i mean how is the connection about the blow off, aem ecu and the admission of the engine?

  • yeah but you have to connect it the cables red and black whre is it it? is a digital gauge

  • Yea, i have the same gauge, but like i told you, since i din't do the install on any of the turbo related parts, i have no idea.. sorry

  • hi, i have the aem boost gauge how can i connect it to the car?

  • Since i din't install my turbo kit i won't be able to tell you where did he hook it up.. i think on the vacum lines.. thats where the boost gague goes.

  • My car is now fixed, it is hanging at 3500 rpm how can i correct that?

  • I dont have a mechanich right now, a question where do you connect the AEM boost gauge, in the garret?

  • Hi Pride, today maybe i will get back my car and maybe i will poste some videos TSI

  • another question how much do you use the wide band?

i mean the numbers in your gauge to be perfect!!!

  • I check the air/fuel ratio everytime i get in the car, by looking at it, i can tell if things are working the way they are suppose to, and i can monitor how my engine is doing, in boost and off boost.

  • so please answer to me i dont know if the problem was the tune or is in the garrer, why my garret arreved 15 psi if it is tune to 6-7 psi?

  • i mean i didnt set the psi with the garret it in 1st arrived 10 psi, 2nd 11 psi and third 13 psi and 4º 15 psi and it damaged thats why i am asking you if i can get lower the psi, my car is manual

  • I tuned my car here in venezuela,

the person who tuned it is very famous here, we didnt use the actuator of the garret, and another civic here broke his motor trying to up the 15 psi, my motor damgae the crank shaft and the conrod

  • To be honest, i think your tune cause your problems, i have boosted up to 13psi before and no problems, but i also got my car tune by a good shop around here and i make sure to look at the air and fuel ratio everytime i boost to make sure things are ok.. i know other people boosting 12psi and they have no issues.. i am currently only boosting 10spi on mine, but as soon as i get the Intake Manifold and clutch, i will up the boost to about 12psi.

  • ok thats right, but believe me you cannot get more than 14 psi

you will breake the engine, The R18 cannot handle more than 14 psi, and you think its my tune when i fix my engine i will put it in 8 psi but i dont know if i can do it, and how much is your fuel ratio i mean wide band?

maybe my car used too much gas

  • See that is the reason you blew your motor, because you don't have a wideband to check your air/fuel ration.. if you where running to lean and where boosting 14psi and you had no way of checking your ari/fuel specially not knowing if you had a good tune or not.. my wideband was $275.. the aem one..

You lower the psi from the actuator rod, if the guy that tune your car does not know how to lower the psi on your car, then he does not need to be tuning your car.

  • You are right, but my car were tuned by a gauge aem wide band, it was at first throwing black smoke because it wasnt tune but then it fixed and no more smoke, so i have now the boost gauge aem and i will connect the wide band gauge. so it had a problem with a hose throwing the oil so i kept with no much oil and it brakes the engine at 15 psi and not lowing the boost, i will have the crnk shaft and conrods on thursday so on saturday maybe i will have the car clever to run

  • i change my clutch, but i dont know why i coudnt put

the psi lower than 14 psi it was at third and fourth shift, when

i can get the base map?, so you say if i will change the wide band configuration i will get low the psi and it will be good?

  • man dont put your car more than 13 psi you will break the engine like me take that advice

  • I need more info, where you tune? because if you where using the base map and then just boosted pass 13 psi, then you where looking for trouble, and also is your car auto or manual? you are the first person that i know that their motor break...

I need more info, i want to know what went bad with the motor..

  • ok so you mean with the actuator you can mind the psi but cannot get it up so the boost controler is only for getting it up the psi?

  • a question you putyour car in 9/10 psi with the actuator of your garret?? when i get the conrods i will put videos and you can see my car

  • Yea, i have the psi set from the acuator of my garret turbo, and yea post some videos of you car, i will love to see it.. i am going to later buy an electronic boost controller to up the boost some more..

  • yeah thats right but i had problems with mine, my civic is a sedan and ihave 18 inch tires and the spoiler og the mugen rr and the same rims and i did like 14 second in the 1/4 mile but i broke the rod with 15 psi now i am fixing that

  • good pride, very good, how much psi did you run?

  • I was at 9/10 psi.. the only reason i ran a 14.5 and not better was because of the tires i was racing on.. 18inch and old and all season don't help lol.. am sure with some summer tires on my stock 16inch rims i can run some low 14's.. and with drag radials it should be in the 13's..

  • nice run

but i can hear like the cluch is sliping when you shift ... is that right ?? on 3rd & 4th

    or you are power shifting

  • I powershifted 2 and 3rd, 4th i just did a quick shift... my cluch is fine right now, but it won't be long before it goes bad on me.. but for now is ok..
