@yosoymiavatar Interesting thought -- I've had it to. As an artist in my own way, I hold to David Lynch's belief that you don't need to exist in darkness to communicate it. We all know what hurt, despair, and fear are. We don't need to live there to channel it. Really, living there only makes the creative process more difficult. I think a lot of NIN's greatest work came from a desperate place, though -- especially The Fragile (the record).
