excellent! I love your sound. it is very full and beautiful. I played this for my solo this past year but had difficulty with the really fast runs and getting the pianist to be able to play on the beat...
@evyrlind because we move with the music and the beat. People who move around when they play have a certain connection to the music that some people will never understand or have. We rise with the louder and more exciting sections and fall for the smoother, sweeter perts. Just how it works (-:
Very good interpretion of it! nicely done. I usually play it a tad slower because i think it brings sertain depth to it.. been told off of that alot but its just my style :D U are very talented. How long u been playing?
I agree but it's only a little bit...It actually starts much much too slow. Pianist was too self-effacing in that opening. i think that G flat colours the whole mvt. It did get considerably faster. Love this work though. Happy to play it with your some time ;)
Buffet Vintage R13. Here is what they say about it:
The Vintage R13, patterned after the famous R13s of the 1950s, utilizes many elements not found on the modern R13s. There are no metal tenon rings, several tone hole placements have been adjusted to improve tuning, and the bell is 1mm longer, producing a very fluid clarion register.
His name is Josh Oxford- he's a great pianist, percussionist, and all around musician. You can search for more YouTube videos from his senior recital, etc. If you are into jazzier stuff, check out The Oxtet on MySpace music. Very groovy.
Any chance for second and third movements? I like the performance quite a lot - great balance between instruments and every 'brahmsian' emotion delivered. :-)
How do you make this look so easy? I've been practicing for months on this piece and still can't quite get the hang of it! This is a very excellent performance.
is this song hard?

Sorry, but Brahms did the right thing when he transposed this piece for viola.

My Band Director played us this and my entire class was wondering why he bounced around while he played, but apparently it is not just him!

@Jennabella112
Many clarinetists move around, when performing. Not sure why, but we do :P. LOL.

this is really good
he changes speed through out the whole piece
should i do that? or just go with tempo for most of the piece
i don not have much rit. as he did
rlacjfdn 2 years ago
It is romantic but that doesn't mean you can keep changing tempo but you must also remember in live performance unintentional things can happen.....

I accidentally put 1 star, but of course I meant 5 stars! Sorry about that.
Very nice playing! (I'm currently playing this on the viola)

Awesome! Thanks, I have been debating weather to get E-11 or save a bit more for the R-13, tough choice.
Amadee10 2 years ago
Agreed!
costasimpson 2 years ago
certainly save for the r13. the difference is tremendous.
GinobiliRules101 2 years ago
trust me R-13's are great, way better choice

woww,, its simply beautiful. . .
well done, but just a piece of advice:
try not to make sudden sounds, for example the high Eb in the very beginning could have been smoother, and several other places. =)
