  • how much do the bar walls cost? are they made for pets or can i just take apart a shelf made out of the same stuff

  • @hitman30009 The 'bar walls' are just grids that can be found in any Target, Home Depot, or Walmart. Just google C&C cages. That will take you to the website with all the info on the materials. The C&C stands for Cubes and Coroplast - anyway - very cool sight with lots of info. Good luck.

  • where did you get the texel guinea pig? I am getting a texel guinea pig next week!

  • @GuineaKidz Got her from a breeder/shower. Juliette won 1st place in a show. Just could not pass her up - she was actually kept in a dark little cage in the lady's back yard. Just try your local listings of Craigslist or pets and look up Texel Guinea pigs. They can be hard to find but they are adorable. good luck

  • what ype of pellet litter do you use?

  • Hello,

I really like this response video to momo's channel :D

I was wonder what do you use for the the cloroplast where did you get from?

what store? please i haven't been able to get any messages back please answer this it will probably help others with there C & C Cages please help :D

  • @AZKr3w34 Hi, all I can say is 'google' the word 'where to buy coroplast in my local area' - and then put in the city and state. That may help. Sometimes sign places carry it. I happen to have a brother in law that has a shop and works with the stuff and can get it pretty easy. Good luck

  • Umm can't they jump out like where the opening is?? iv'e always wondered that.. :/

  • Am i the only one, who has a problem with the video ending at 1:05, after she's saying "toilet paper rolls"?

  • Aww their adorable I really want one but are they alot to take care of?

  • @36shima36 Actually yes they are time consuming. You have to keep their litter clean, change the 'fleece material'. they usually use their litter box, but not always. They need hay and fresh veggies. The kind I have here needs to have their hair brushed and trimmed because it keeps growing. They are very sweet, you just have to have a lot of time.

  • @dalsch i like ur guinea pig ,hamsters and other animals u have

  • @36shima36 I HAVE ONE, YES THEY ARE NOT EASY, BUT YOU CAN WORK SOMETHING OUT, THEY CAN ALSO GET EXPENSIVE

  • @36shima36 dont listen to her they dont take that much time just give them alot of food maybe 30 mins a day

  • @123reptileking Yes, but I was referring to the cleaning of the cages and upkeep on them. They are worth it - just give them lots of love and attention.

  • What do you use for the toilet area? is it like just pellets?

  • @Squeakers2412 Yes this is like Yesterday's News (small animal litter).

  • That was really funny when she picked up the little house there was a piggy under it. LOL! :D

  • like seriosuly what is a flease?

  • @saraurby77365 it's a fabric that is safe for guinea pigs and you can get it at target walmart or online stores:)

  • @Lulucupcake252 Ohh ok... lol how much does it usually cost?

  • @saraurby77365 like 1 to 10 dollars. it depends on how nice it is:)

  • love it! but my peruvian poop everywhere =/

  • For my pigs, I have a major problem! When I put down the newspaper, I put the fleece on top of it. Do I put it down like newspaper-towels-fleece or towels-newspaper-fleece?

  • @Warriorcat666 I think you had it right the first time - newsp/towelw/fleece. But what do I know, that was too much work - I just used the litter in the pans and fleece. They were pretty good going pee in the litter pans.

  • how do you keep your piggies from digging under the fleece? Mine do it all the time and i can't stop them? What should i do?

  • @thespoiledpets - Maybe have something hard under it, like glass/acrylic/coroplast, and fold the ends of the fleece under it. And make sure the glass/acrylic/coroplast sheet is the same size of the cage, so they cant dig and flip it over.

  • hi love your cage set up and your cute piggies, i was wondering where did you bought the bed? coz my piggie poops on their cuddle cup? and whats under your beddings..

  • @gracelovechristian The beds are small cat beds - found them in walmart. The fleece, thick hand towels, and they go on the coroplast - which can be wiped down with vinegar/water solution.

  • @dalsch thank you very much. its very informative. <3

  • hello:) what sort of fleece do you use? becuase it doesn't look like the fleecey fleece(soft, fluffy kinda ones) if you know what i mean i dunno if the makes sence:L xxxx

  • @beckz383 I just go to the fabric department and either get fleece 'fabric remnants' or get it by the yard. It's on the 'bolts' of fleece. Hope that helps

  • Thanks for telling me about the vinegar solution it works soo good! And im getting 2 peruvians this weekend im so excited :) Can you maybe do a video on careing for a peruvian?

    Thanks

  • I'm in love with your Texel(: What's its name? I've got 4 Abbys and I've been wanting a texel or a teddy for sooo long but im not prepared to breed yet. (the only way i'd be able to own more guinea pigs is if i had a breeding business) I wonder what a texel bred with a teddy or a peruvian would look like... or a coronet...

  • Will the vinegar solution work for birds?

  • @MsHorselover8 Definitely, that's what I use for ALL my animal clean ups. just remember 1/2 vinegar and 1/2 water. I bought a bottle of poop off or something like that at a pet store for my birds - the cage a long time ago. All I know is that my cockatiel was sitting on the bottom of the cage not looking so well. I nursed him back to health and will NEVER buy any pet store cleaner again.

    Hope this helps

  • @dalsch Thanks so much I was wondering what I could use for my macaw cage. I will definately try this.

  • @dalsch 1/2 of cup or what.BTW by the way i have another thing i use its lemon juice about 8 drops and 1/2 a cup of water really useful try

  • @kiral1998 1/2 white vinegar and 1/2 water filling up a spray bottle. The lemon juice is great too - thanks - forgot about that. There's so much out there that doesn't cost that much for cleaning - guess we are just spoiled with all the 'pretty packaging' and EMPTY promises of how something will work great. Live and learn.

  • @dalsch so true yes somemany things packaged and usally rubbish

  • I was just wondering what is the vinegar spray bottle for?

  • @jmhudak72 You get a spray bottle, fill it 1/2 way with water and 1/2 with WHITE VINEGAR. It's a good and safe disinfecting spray for all your small animals.

  • hey i lvoe your vid awesome cage! just wanted to say my pigs love paper rolls to! you should sleit them in half so they dont get stuck! cause they can :P also try stuffing them with hay! it makes a great toy!

    keep making awesome vids! :)

  • That is an awesome idea! I think I might steal some ideas...lol :-P

  • how did you make the bottom to hold up the cage?

  • @rararussell8 By fastening the grids under the coroplast. Go to c&c cages - google it . They have all the directions on how to make these cool cages.

  • @dalsch k

  • you need a hide box or pigloo!

  • were did u get your guinea pigs?

  • You're so organized. I'm like that. I have a place for everything in my room. You're guinea pig is cute.

  • very great love it! and cutemomome is just amazing it is so cool all her tips....great orginazation!

  • convient!

  • I wish I had that like cage, with towels and that all things...

My parents dont want me to buy a big cage. but I cant afford it >.>

Your cage is so nice, mine cage is small and I have to use hay and umm.. however is called the wood what is cutted in litle parts >.>

  • What is todys car?

  • do your guinea pigs ever go under the little beds? becuase mine do it so annyoing! how can i stop it or cant i?xx

  • how do you think that you are disorginized ! you are the orginazation queen!

  • how many times do you clean your cage? do you change the fleece & towels every week? you're guinea pig seem litter-train! i'm jealous! by the way, great organization.

  • @superxduperr Thanks, actually I just put down fleece and have the litter boxes. I shake the fleece out every day and turn it over--so that gives me 2 days for a piece of fleece before laudering.

For the most part, they use the litter boxes. You just have to have the 'kitchen' area in the litter boxes. They seem to do better that way. Thanks for the comment on organization - just got the idea from another user though - so can't take all the credit on that part.

  • To clear this up. Boar (male) guinea pigs will get on fine in pairs or even more. If they're introduced at a young age. It's tricky trying to bond older boars but it can be done. You don't even have to neuter if they're young when they are introduced. The easiest bonding i even done was 2 boars, both 5 weeks old. Boars will even have less fights than sows as when they come into season they often have little arguements etc

  • umm if you put 2 male guinea pigs together will they fight and if they do, will neutering them stop it???

    plz write back thx

  • Cole..Two males are prone to fighting as they establish the dominant/submissive roles in their two piggy society. Neutering one or both will NOT prevent fights from happening if they are so inclined. An absolute no-no is adding a female to a cage with two or more boars neutered or not. Two males may be okay if they are from the same litter (ie. brothers) OR if one boar is older and the other very young. You may have the boar castrated and then add a female but the operation can be costly.

  • i have a guinea pig and i want anothecr, my mom says if i put more then 1 guinea in a cage they will fight! How do get them to stay calm with each other? PLZ write back (i love your guinea pigs!)

  • they are fine if they are 2 males or 2 females. If you've had the one for a while, you must disinfect (with vinegar/water solution) the cage and all the things in it, before introducing the new one.

That's what I did with Juliette and Phoebe. Phoebe was 2 years old when I got Juliette at 3 months. They didn't play right away, but got to like each other in time.

They aren't like hamsters - they will fight.

  • You're pretty organized! I love keeping my animals and their things organized!

This is a really good video! :)

    --CavyLove79--

  • thanks, but just had to do this once I saw the video from cutemomome - that's where I got the incredible organization ideas.

SO HARD FINDING ONE BY THE WAY

  • were did u get the fishy hiddy? they are so cool i want one!

  • actually on ebay. But i think petco or petsmart may have them. you can google it too.

  • where did you get the carrying purses? and how much are they?

  • I had those same little bed thingys! My guinea pigs always did their business in them

  • l good cage i realy like your pigs

  • awesome but do not forget to cut the toilet paper rolls length wise so the dont get stuck

  • are guinea pigs from new guinea?

  • No. They are from South America! mostly in Peru...

  • good video! Love your cage! Cute piggys to. I love cutemomome to :)

  • LOL!

sorry but i like hamsters more then guinea pigs they look ugly too me

  • Do guinea pigs live longer than hamsters?

  • i think so there life expectancy is about 5 or 6 yrs but if u keep them healthy they will live longer, the longest guinea pig ever to live was 15 yrs old!

  • this is awsome!

  • I had a guinea pig named Scooter a couple years ago and she used to make so much noise when I would ask her if she wanted a treat. They're such loving and amazing pets.

  • Haha when you lifted the little house Phoebe was like, "Hey, it got light out!"

  • OMG!! that soo cool!
