@qbking77 I actually just screwed my phone by flashing a new kernel (Twilight Zone 1.1.1) and now my Epic isn't booting past the Samsung Mobile screen, no matter what. Made a CWM backup beforehand, and even restoring that isn't working. So, just went to CWM 3.0.1 purple via zip, and then installed a new EH17 deodexed stock ROM. Doesn't have the EH17 modem though - is there a zip (rather than Odin/.tar) version anywhere?? Thanks!

i put it on the pda the eho6 dows did it have to b on the phone or no.. its working though i installed the cwm 3.1 tar md5 and rooted the phone. and it comes up as galaxy2 but tried doing the emotionless beast but just frozed the phone had to wipe everything and re install the md5 rom..

i just had a quick question about compatibility. does the modem, rom, and theme version have to match? im still on ec05 using srf 1.2 with Honeycomb Fusion Explosion. Now I saw your post on xda with different modems saying you can try one to see which works best. I know how to use odin, cwm, and flash roms themes etc. just not sure if I go to eh06 if i have to switch roms or themes to match

@1BadAssYellaBoi You can be on EC05 and use any modem I have posted such as EH06 EG22 etc. Any modem I have posted in my thread at ACS forums can be used on either android 2.2 or 2.3 interchangeably.

@nameless513 if you are on vista/windows 7 make sure you run odin as administrator by right clicking and selecting that option, always fails if you don't

@qbking77 funny story i just went and downloaded everything i needed for gingerbread, ran it through odin and have everything done and i didn't root or run cwm. I'm glad i didn't brick my phone in the process and everything seems to work great. I still do mean to root eventually though thanks to how easy your videos makes the process.

This worked on my wife's epic. On min Odin showed FAIL and then phone does not go past some Icon of an old phone with antenna and an exclamation mark leading to a PC with dashed line. Tried taking battery out and powering up and going to CWM and wipe but nothing...tried reflashing eg22 rom....nada still same picture on black screen

@checko07 You're going to have to odin back to stock EC05... I have a video showing how to unroot using odin. Make sure drivers are installed, try different cables and try different usb ports.

hi, my epic is on gingerbread eg22 and modem eg22. recently it wont recieve sms, mms, or even phone calls while im on the internet on my phone. this happens on all modems recently. i was running the ee02 modem and it was fine and then it started to do that, so i switched to the ef02, then ef10, then ec05 and now the eg22. any ideas why this is happening?

@qbking77 no it started while i was on ee03 and modem was ee03. everything was going fine until one day i realized while i was on the internet i wasnt getting any responses from texts. so i closed out of the internet and sure enough a few mins later i got all of the text messages. so i figured it was the modem so i switched to ef02 and it still didnt work. so i switched to ef10, still nothing and then ec05 bc i knew it worked on there b4. but still didnt work. so i figured it maybe the ee03 rom

It's happened twice; once when flashing the EB13 modem, another with the EE03 modem.

If the flash fails and you get that dreaded bricked phone icon there is a special key you can make to force it into download.

@kevin32286 If you follow my video showing how to upgrade to EG22, then it will keep whatever modem you have on your phone. You can use any modem for a 2.2 or 2.3 rom. It doesn't matter.
