  • stupid redneck -.-

  • why cant you use it in firearms?

  • If you're BP is igniting when dropped - you're doing it wrong.

  • hi, ive been working on a gun. and it is now completed. ive went through everything and i know the risks. but the bullets are entirely homemade aswell. could i just take apart fireworks and use that powder for a propellant?

  • @dzsk8r You'd best be wise not to be doing that. There's a reason why firearms use gun/black powder and not firework powder. Safety is one of those factors.

And if you're using homemade powder for your makeshift firearm, you shouldn't be trying to make a firearm in the first place.

  • Ufo at 5:58, up in the left corner :P

  • garbage

  • good blackpowder will not ignite from shock or friction. please go and watch another video as this one seems to either be outdated or have incorrect information. Modern gunpowder(well only black powder-same mix he is making) is made by ball milling, crushing in a tumbler with lead or ceramic non-sparking grinding media. t is also rammed into rocket motor so you can be sure it is not ignited by impact or shock. this doesn't mean to abuse the black powder, still be careful with it. Ball mill it.

  • can this explosive????

  • @bORNtObEgREEN13

Of course it can explode, you fucking retard.

  • @3DPlanets If it isnt closed in anything,it can only burn

  • @KrasusAversa

I wasn't saying that if you light it it will explode. I'm not that stupid. I was saying that it has the capability to explode.

  • This is some like gunpowder, it isn;t a gunpowder. Good gunpower burns in less than 0.5s

  • This is some like gunpowder, it isn;t a gunpowder. Good gunpower burn in less than 0.5s

  • Next time I make a batch of Black powder, I'll show you a far better method, far safer too as there isn't any dry grinding involved. Have a look at my channel for the vid called 'latest batch of black powder', to see the results.

  • I don't know why but I love the way this guy makes a video :)

  • So Why Can't We Use This In Firearms?

  • @HomeMadeGunNut you can in old ones, not in the new smokeless powder rifles though

  • @mrkanker1 Oh yeah i knew that, i though he was sayin not to use it un blackpowder rifles.

  • I got sulphur in my mouth one time. It sucked, not as bad as when I got gas in my eye though.

  • More compression = more boom (with real and dry gunpowder)

As gases are more compressed, they rip the container with a much bigger force therefore stroger schockwave therefore better boom.

  • Are you kidding me? You should put this powder mix in a big barrel with lead balls in it and make it rotate for three days.

  • @Rhinoch8 What would that do?

  • You are quite correct about the laws in Australia about 6 months ago i went to all the local garden suppliers asking for stump remover with no luck, however i did find a few websites which easily supplied all 3 ingredients, strangely enough i also learned we can still buy gun powder from the gun shop without a permit. Figure that one out.

  • it's not salt peter but sal peter ;) also in norway there is a furtiliser called salpeter, that is like 98% pure, made by yara

  • it's not salt peter but sal peter ;)

  • HELP!!!!!!!!!!

What wus u reogmend to use in a homeade fire arm

  • so if i make dis n compress it into a tin sealed real tight will it blow up kinda fing or just burn like urs did

  • @directordc If you make it like this it wont blow up. And with the quantity you put in a tin, you'd better put it in a 1/2inch thick container for a big boom, if you have real gunpowder

  • Fuck I'm sleepy

  • One suggestion. When mixing your three ingredients and especially when crushing them together do it in enough water so that the mixture thoroughly wet. When you've got it crushed to where you want it, put it in the sun and let it dry out thoroughly. The powder won't flash when wet but it will flash just fine once you've dried it out again. Remember: Less than a cup f powder flashing in your face will change your life forever and you won't like the change.

  • pretty cool. but thats some slow burning stuff.

  • @Nukedeuce The finer you crush it, the faster it will burn... Only had a few minutes left on my tape so I rushed it and didn't crush it as much as I should have. Just wanted to show people the basics.

  • @picrockpro umm mate sulfur lowers the PH in soil

  • whats the name of the song at 6:08 ? please reply

  • @zakamooza: Its called TNT by ACDC ;)

  • @picrockpro thank you so much ! :)

  • @zakamooza how can you not know TNT by AC/DC? :P

  • @zakamooza you seriously didnt know that?Dumb ass.

  • u remind me of my cousin u look like him and same accent and stuff we live in the south not in any cities and stuff heh

  • Does it burn faster when you put aluminium powder?

  • This video is not very good.

The way he mixes it is NOT very efficient, the result is... well it's very very weak.

The mix he is actually making here is often called "green mix".

  • 2:26 THAT sucks I live In Australia

  • have you ever hear this word: ballmill ????

this BP is shit, I am sorry but that is the truth

  • Your powder burns too slowly. You need to make the gunpowder a more intimate mixture if you want it to really perform. If you wet the powder when you make it, it allows the componants to properly meld. Manufacturers do this as it makes a better burn and it's safer when they roll it. The cake it forms is then dried and the different sizes of powder can be produced which control the burn rate in firearms/cannons etc.., Have fun !

  • isnt it true u can use dried chicken crap as a form of gun powder?

  • lol dont blow urself up

  • you r awsome this guy is cool and nice you dont see much of your kind around where i live nice video................:)

  • Thanks. I have more videos coming soon, but I've been busy with work... I work at a local Trout farm as well as my ranch.

  • @picrockpro dude thats awsome, your a rancher and a trout farmer? cooool

  • that last part was halarious lol

  • I like your video, it was pretty informative. I just wonder, is there a difference in the type of sulfer used? White or yellow? Anyway, keep up the good work guys.

  • Do you consider this mix unsafe for blackpowder rifles?

  • not unsafe, just not advisable... it probably wont hurt the gun, but this is mainly for to give people the basic knowledge of how black-powder works... you can play around with the mixture to make it finer and more consistent in size... as well as make it burn faster, which is really what you want for a rifle.

  • @picrockpro Hi, whats the diffrence between black gunpowder... and original (brown) gunpowder? ... thanks...

  • nice video ^^

    well done..

butt to be realy safe.. NO PLASTICS

its the same as metal, friction or static electr. can cause a spark if people are too brute

to crush and mix use wood or stone objects

here is a lower temp ignition mixure that will burn faster :

    -100 parst kno3 13 parts charcoal and 12 parts sulfur = 7.7% coal and 8.3% sulfur

correct me if i'm wrong (also my english if its not so good :p )

    see ya

  • thats slow add sugar

  • how come you need to wear rubber gloves and wear a dustmask? is this toxic or something?

  • Yes, the fumes from the molten lead are slightly toxic, and you can develop lead poisoning if your not careful... the risk is very very low... but I we need to make a point of it in the video to cover ourselves.

  • you can get kno3 in aust dang i bought a 25kg bag (estmated- 50 lb) for $60 dollars

    no licence nothin

  • in where? aust dang?

  • This should be titled "How NOT to make balck powder". The whole video is as stupid as the guy who posted it. First, all three ingredients are not mixed together dry. This is an excellent way to have an accident. It must be wetted with alcohol. DO NOT FOLLOW THIS JERK'S INSTRUCTIONS, unless you want to be blown up!

  • yes cuz galvanized buckets often shoot out lightning for no reason

  • why cant we use it in firearms?

  • No Yea.. Im

Makeing That MUCH *cough* lol isengard man

  • ahh booring

  • poor

  • is stump remover pure Kno3?

  • POTASSIUM NITRATE,KNO3,SALT PETTER, AND POT ASH. It has a salty tast you can get pot ash out of soil because its in most soils and manuers and it is soluble in watter so its prity easy to extract out of the soil.

  • this is very x10 slow

  • alder is good for charcoal

  • or u can use aluminu, copper, and a ton of other non-sparking metals

  • yes thay are soft enuph so thay dont spark but i would preffer a non cunductive contaner

  • A 7-minute video of which only one minute contained any useful information. He misspelled "charcoal" and "sulphur." Obviously not a master of his craft.

  • SULFUR....actually

  • And you are a complete twat.

  • im just saying but the rate of burn isnt enogh for a gun and the k903 leves a sticky residue

  • amazon

  • were can i buy these ingerdients lmao :D

  • is that a ufo or a fly if a fly why cant you see it when hes in view of camera until he moves then it takes away UFO!!

  • Why can't you use this in a firearm?

  • did you see it burn black powder burns real quick he just threw it on a stone and grinded it with some random crap

  • look at that fag 68ger he hides behind a screen and even the chance of a response and is fagget show his ass your foot

  • Becouse im from Australia and we cant get patassium nitrate, does anyone know anything else i could use insted.

  • get it off ebay

  • I know for a fact ammonia nitrate is in most tree stump killers might be a little or alot more bang for your buck though.

  • Thanks mate but does it do the same thing, does it have the same reaction?

  • is potassium nitrate an other name for slatpeper

  • *saltpeter, and yes.

  • there was a fly on the cam!!!!

wher do you get sulfur, Potassium Nitrate and charcoal???

  • Interesting

  • Cool, thanks.

Do you know how i can make this into some sort of fire cracker, or firework with a fuse please?

Oh and btw, the other people are complete morons, if they know so much about BP then why are they having to look up how to make it step by step?

  • I haven't actually commented before but I read your comment and just wanted to let you know, your reasoning is faulty. I have been making black powder for many years. I've worn out 2 rock tumblers in the process so I guess you could say, I'm rather experienced at making BP but just the same, I still like to look at vids people post on making BP. It gives me a chance to offer advice. I just like to see what people are doing.

So, I know a lot but I still like to see people's step by step guides.

  • i forgot the name of it but i made a glow pot from gunpowder and somthing that burns green dam i forgot soz .

  • ZZzzZzzzzz

  • That is NOT black powder !!!

That is called green powder because all you did was basically mix the ingredients, thats why it has a really slow burn rate.

Do a video on how to make it properly.

  • This is a proper video on how to make it its black powder that is MEAL not granulated they still use this mixture/ratio in factorys to make it for guns read a book please.

  • no never again

  • y cant u use it in shot gun shells

  • its not high enough quality

  • cuz stump remover isn't pure and you not supposed to use sulfer cuz ur gonna get your barrel all dirty with that stuff.

  • yup

  • YEEEEHAAAAWW boy...just go and take a shower

  • If you want to make really powerfull gun powder try making the charcoal out of straw or williow. if yu want o make good sparkling powder just make the batch with pine charcoal and use add course pine charcoal.

  • apparently cotton charcoal makes good gunpowder

  • Dont listen to this guy, he has no idea. Blackpowder goes off by dropping it, I want to see that. You can hit BP with a hammer all day it wont go off. He accurately measured his chemicals as you can see, you would have trouble blowing anything up with this so called BP.

  • well actually if you know how to granulate the blackpowder properly it can become very powerful...and bp does explodeif hit with a hammer (it just has to be friction sensitive)

  • black powder doesnt explode on impact... unless you used AL powder,

but then it's not bp anymore it's flash or whatever it's calld that powder used in Aerial shells.

  • you really have no idea of what your taking about do you

  • tell me what bp mix explodes on impact i'd love to hear it.

  • When you make your bp with under cooked straw....with the standard 75/15/10ratio, oh but wait your dumbass would have never heard of it because your not into pyrotechnics like I am. so go fuck off. Actually try making this comp and blow your fucking face off!!!!

  • lol. well you're the dumbass that says i'm not into pyrotechnics without ever bothering to look at my channel? go ahead and check out featured vid on my channel and feel like a complete dumb shit.

  • Just because you've seen a few YouTube videos and read somewhere about 75 15 10 ratio doesnt make you an expert and make it so that you can go around bein pissed at people for... shit, why are you even pissed?

If you got the idea that black powder explodes on impact then I suggest you find a more reliable source for your knowledge.

  • oh And btw i am not pissed

  • hmm. lol

  • Looking at the responses on here, I think its you thats think he knows more than he really does. I have made BP many a times and yes I do know how to granulate it properly and no its still not that friction sensitive, If it was everyone with a ball mill would have it exploding on them. Get your facts straight before you take the piss out of people. To be sensitive there would have to be a friction sensitive chemical added and in normal BP they use KN03 which everyone knows is not sensitive.

  • Okay, listen up guys, we haven't been posting because we've been busy lately, and I dont have alot of time for this. I'll try to be as polite as I can.

Weztech: If you know so much about bp, why haven't you made a video? seeing that you make it all the time anyway, same goes for all the nay sayers and ultra swearing 16 year old kids that spend 8 hours a day on here telling everyone else there videos suck.

We post these warning so when others start making bp and get injured, we wont get sued.

  • Its true that bp can't explode on impact, unless there is a spark, and what causes a spark??? Metal on Metal IMPACT! In the video we actually made bp on metal, a subtle way to show its not all that dangerous, but we have to cover ourselves from lawsuits. Im not going to go into all your comments Wez, Vern, Dere, but listen. BP is an explosive, when dealing with explosives, BE CAREFUL! Thats all we want.

Anymore name calling by anyone, and I will block them regardless. So watch the language.

  • i think youll find that black power will explode on impact!!! look at the match lock musket!

that BP doe not burn fast enuff to make any explosion! try flash powder!

  • the match lock musket needs a cap to light the powder. mutch like the paper ones in toy guns. plack powder dose not explode on impact. and it needs to be under presure to explode at all. or it just kind of sizzles or burns.

  • @tim0090 it's not that it burns to make an explosion, all that really makes a BP weapon fire is the pressure built up from the burning of said BP.

  • who is the 16 year old...if you are you shouldnt even be making bp

  • @picrockpro

thes is not black powder its green meal, use a ball mill and then press damped powder to 1,7G/cc then corn and sise, then you have real black gunpowder that burns with a

    instant poff

    cheers

  • Have you treid making it with straw charcoal No you haven't so ye dont know crap

  • I've never heard of using straw for BP and no I havent tried it. If it works for you then stick to it, it is well known that willow charcoal is your best choice for BP, pine is good for stars. Again BP is not that friction sensitive, unless you get a good spark.

  • Comment removed

  • This isn't gunpowder it is actually called meal powder when mixed dry. Gunpowder is made by wetting the chemicals while mixing, then it is mixed with alcohol and granulated further, then dried.

  • Screw Gunpowder!

    Samurais FTW!!

  • useless

  • ALWAYS RESPECT GUN POWDER!

I unfortunately had a entire can of powder exploder in my basement because I wasn't playing safe. Lucky I wasn't hurt.

I still make the stuff, but I make sure to follow all safety rules.

  • will charcoal for ur grill work if u crush it up good enough?

  • not briquets or however you spell it but lump

or natural charcoal will the kingsford or other types have fillers and impurities dont do anything dangerous

    PLEASE BE CAREFUL!!!!!!!!

  • Might be usefull to say the percentages are by weight, in case people aren't sure.

Nice vids, hope you make more.

  • awsome vid

  • ya u dont need much just 50 pounds

  • another thing to mention would be corning the powder.

this is where you will wet the powder, form it into a loaf, then after it dries you will crumble it this will increase the burn rate and make it sutible for use in muzzleloading rifles.

  • Nice Job PTL.

  • very very very slow bp

  • would homedepot sell some tree stump remover

  • Probably, but i doubt it will be pure Kno3

  • good vid!

  • It does appear to burn slow, however it may be functional under pressure. Keep up the great work Bush Boy

  • Comment removed

  • nice but wats da dramtic intro for :) lol

  • nice man!!!!!

  • make more

  • love it

  • It looks like it burns alot slower than the stuff I can buy. For example if I put the same amount of hodgons FFF on a table and light it, it goes up in less than a second. The stuff you are lighting goes up slower in the video.

Is this why you shouldn't use it in your gun? I have an 1860 Army that I would love to make my own powder for instead of buying the 25$ tins.

  • awesome, nice job

  • keep these vids coming
