Mace Windu has a purple lightsaber because he got a special purple crystal from a tribe he helped while on a mission. And don't confuse Dark Jedi with the Sith. Dark Jedi are just Jedi that fell to the Dark Side. Sith received special training from other Sith. so, technically a Dark Jedi could have any color lightsaber he wants. And although the character in this movie is a Sith, he doesn't really have to have a red lightsaber and we're just taking this whole colour thing too seriously.

sith have red lightsabers is cuz sith had to mostly stay in hiding so the had to make there own color crystals. and when you make an organic color crystal it comes out red.(weird huh?)

Dude, Mace Windu has a purple lightsaber because his unique fighting technique is part Dark Side , part Light side. Why do you think he is so badass. Also, purple is the color for Sith Apprentices as well in other stories so. Yellow is usually used by Omni-Jedi: Jedi who use both types of force powers. But when ones making their own movie, color doesnt matter THAT much.

unfortunately, it seems that some people like these people here, are still using primitive line tool roto, and then rounding off the edges, use pen tool but select like three vertices from each end of the saber, so you dont need to necessarily round of each one, plus this helps if the angle of the saber causes the blade you wanna roto it begins to taper off, as with line tool its hard to do tapered lines

This film is nearly 7 years old. The photoshop method served us for a time, but we feel Ryan Weibers AE method is much smoother. Photoshop takes far too long in comparison. Check out "Dust 2 Dust" for a slightly newer product.

Well - sith ALWAYS have red lightsabers - the jedi having different lightsaber colours is fine, but i think sith should always have red :P its in their character

The sabers color is dictated only by the color of the force crystal they used in its construction. Beyond that, Lucas just likes red for the few Sith in HIS films. Don't feel limited by those boundaries. Hell, Leigh uses a red saber in the expanded universe. She isn't Sith.

4 once the good guy dies. great storyline and moves, but the camera is a bit blurry when compared to other Lightsaber Minifilms. Also, i'm sure they could have done with better Lightsabre sounds though, and the sith's lightsabre is more purple than red :P

Isn't necessary. Many dark jedi refrained from using Red as a lightsaber color. Sariss used Blue. Boc used Purple. Some jei used red sabers, as well.

Hey fellows. We didn't plot a deep story for this one. The Jedi was out running in the woods, Training or whatever, then he senses the Sith. This is when he believes he is being hunted. So he fires up the old saber. Make sense? It is very old, we were just trying something new. Check out Dust to Dust or its sequel this October for something more advanced.

Better than the Dust 2 Dust-one, but you still need to work on your filmmaking. Cinematography is looking better, but I'd suggest shooting in widescreen. 4:3 has a boring, amateurish look to it.

Editing needs better pacing. There are a lot of pauses in the action that could be trimmed down greatly. Also, choreography isn't the best, though it's much better than in the other one.

Keep it up, and I'm sure you'll get good at this :)

Some of their new stuff is spectacular. Check out the trailer to their new thriller "Twitch". If you made a saber duel like that 6 years ago, I'd think you were amazing. So pick your battles, right?
