@Nattybrophie Correction, it was a Dylan original, and the two signed a co-writer agreement since he didn't finish the song and they wanted to. He had more than just the chorus done though before Old Crow approached him.
I see this is old time music for the rich bitches who's father's made multi-millions stealing the soul of traditional country music in Nashville Inc.No Oakies or redknecks these babes,no moonshine, they consume cocaine & pay in ready cash.
@RasMajnouni as long as you play good music it shouldnt matter into what state you were born, rich or poor. As long as the music has soul, which this does, who cares? how you were born shouldnt determine what you can and cannot do.
song is super good. i would not dis this song and dont know who would. girls are good lookin to but maybe a few could be replaced. other then that no complaints. great song.
wow women with curves, you dont see that everyday. love the band love the song OCMS forever! quality music is what society lacks today, in my opinion, this kind of quality is timeless.

I'm an avid country & Bluegrass fan, and these guys are decent at best. They are to hit or miss. Either their stuff is really good, or it sucks really bad. Just my opinion of course.
Don't worry...I discovered this song and band last summer...and I've been listening to it over and over again like a mental patient too...Check out the video for "Tell It To Me"
Tune ,fellow mental patient, I heard these guys on the radio, loved this song, didn't know who they was, long story short, saw them on austin city limits. Diagnosis; Cronic Old Crow Medicine Show Addiction !! P.S. Buying all their CD'S .
My name is Lonna Marie and if you like this song you might find some of my music equally intriguing. I'm very influenced by Sara Bareillis, Lily Allen, Ingrid Michaelson and other artists of their nature. If you have a moment, visit my page and take a listen! Let me know what you think :) Thanks for taking the time and hope you can find something to your liking!
Always brings a tear to my ear. Lookin' into the eyes of those who pass you by with your thumb up. Wonderin' what they're thinkin'. Someone finally pullin' over. The journey continues...thanks for posting this!
I ADORE OCMS. I wish I had known of them when they lived up here in the mountains of TN (near Johnson City). MY FAVORITE song of all time is WW and I think always will be. New CD out TNPusher is great...best is "Alabama High-Test." I've already purchased 3. Which Pres. candidate might legalize that stuff???!!!
I love this song...but this video really doesn't suit the tone of the song. It's an achingly melancholy song, and the band is at a funfair with strippers?!? Talk about jarring contrasts.
You are kidding right? the video is awesome, its so sleazy and fits perfectly, like its an old time rag show, cheap as fuck and you just aint sure whether the birds are shaggable or not, I just love it te bits!
This song is pensive at worst if you listen to the music and not just the words. I think the video is perfect. They're working at the funfair, not visiting it. A lonely life but one that was actually lived. Lots of friends but noone you would dare get attached to. Maybe the band is using this video to dictate the mood of the song. Why would you say the artist is wrong instead of checking your own interpretation? Would you ignore all but the primary colors in a painting?
These guys do a great job. This is an amazing Dillon Song. I think the Last Minute String Band rocks this song better. I love the video on this one. Very smooth.
One of the groups sang this song at camp for a presentation...this is good, but I'm not too fond of the lead singer. Might just be personal preference, but the song is soooo amazing!!
i went to the teluride bluegrass festival with my dad and saw these guys! this song was sang many times on the ride there from breckenridge where he resides. fun times. great memories! ;)
Little known fact: This song was written by Bob Dylan and Ketch Secor. Dylan started the song and wrote the verse and Secor (from Old Crow Medicine Show) wrote the verses and finished it.
He wrote it for Peckinpaw's move "Pat Garrett and Billy the Kid" which Dylan acted in. The chorus never made it to an album but Ketch Secor was entranced by it so he wrote this song and the credits read "Dylan/Secor" on the OCMS cut.
