JasonSR - you obviously have an SX1. You can buy an SX20 for half the price of an SX1 now. Sorry but there is no way the the SX1 is TWICE as good as the SX20!

great zoom desent camara but a step back in photo quality fron the sx10is the one it replaces. The sx20is has blurring at iso 400 and higher so not the best choise for low light. its worth the price difference to get the sx1is which has the cmos sensor the sx20is has the lessor point n shoot type ccd sensor. If you want to use video as much as photo then the sx20is isnt bad for it has 720p and most dont in this range. overall nice camara but not great. I returned mine for the sx1is its awsome.

Got mine today but I'm not getting this good a video from the SX20. Are you using manual focus? I'm trying to sort out the video capability. I have a SX10 and have used it extensively so I know the camera pretty well, but am not happy with my video yet.

My first tries were crappy! Bad Autofocusing. Missed the subject and backfocused. I figured out how to deal with the exposure but I'm not happy with the focus. I need mine to look as clear as yours! Any tips for setting it up for best results?

For the price, what you are getting is a terrific bargain! An excellent still camera and a very good camcorder in one device! What could be better? I'm upgrading from my SX10is which I have been super satisfied with because I need the HD video to satisfy a clients needs. Just a hint ... I have found my SX10is to be at its' sharpest near wide open. I expect the SX20is to be the same. Mines on order!
