He was supposed to be jacob black because stephenie meyer's wanted him to play him. But then they choosed taylor because he was younger & because some people thought steven was too old to play jacob. Which I think is really stupid considering the fact that steven strait still looked young at the time. But then again the only problem was he wouldn't have looked the age he was supposed to play because well at the time he looked 18 or 19 or actually a little bit more older then that.

I love Steven Strait, but not only is he a bit too old to play Jacob, he's also caucasian (Dutch and Italian)...

yup. i think she knows. people made these images before the first twilight movie came, and then again when the whole new moon=new jacob thing. stephenie meyer wanted steven to play jacob. he was the one she got inspired with to create the character of jacob.. and she used his picture for the first cover she made herself of new moon :) hope that enlightens you
