I bought this recently and I don't think it was worth it. The gameplay is tedious and repetitive. I'll admit that I was sucked into the story because I just wanted to know how it would end. But when it finally did, I was underwhelmed. The enemies are easy to beat and there's nothing to unlock other than pointless powers that'll help you gain "light seeds." The light seeds don't do shit except get you a new power, which are all very similar. I was very disappointed.
the Playstation has the nvidia graphic card so thats a plus but the xbox360 has the CPU power of the Xeno ...all in all both systems are about equal so this debate is about as silly as the Intel Vs AMD debate

This game is shitty. They wrecked it with these stupid ass enemy encounters. Every single boss is a recycled version of the last one, only with its own barely unique mechanic tacked on. The very, very few regular enemies in the game are recycled smaller versions of the bosses, and the entire world is otherwise just empty, except for the massive number of light seeds you're forced to collect in order to progress through the pointless story.
This game looks terrible. He says they couldn't stand out as a game because of the combat ( unless they messed with it like they did ) but guess what; YOU DON'T NEED TO, you have the free running.
The next one better not be crap like this, get your disney cellshading crap out of here

What horrible version to the PoP series. This is Street Fighter VS Sonic the Hedgehog. Just horiible. On the other hand, massive thanks to UBI games for Assassin Creed 2, the best game i have ever played, by far!! Awsome gameplay, storyline and actual historical cahracters and envoirment. I giv Assassin Creed 2 10/10, i big step over Assassin Creed 1 whic i would give 6/10.
Not to mention a mind blowing hidden story line, with the ending and all. The secrets behind it. I love history, Assassins, conspiracy, mystery, action and combat. Its like the looked into my brain and made AC II just for me.

xbox has 1080p as well (on elite models). The resolution of your TV has nothing to do with the internal graphic processor of your console. PS3 and XBOX are very similar. Prince of Persia is a very cartoony looking game though, which if you watch the whole video, was the way they intended on making it.

The first POP games were hard to do though. Thinking of the jumps etc. You could get into it but it was a real challenge where you died a lot from falling/getting spiked etc. This seems to be very easy to jump around. Makes it a bit more boring.

Well it's not a morality/decision making game like Fallout, but you are running on walls, climbing, jumping from platform to platform, and have some really epic battles with cool looking enemies. All battles are one on one, but they're really fun. It's more of a rental game, because there really isn't much to do after you beat it. But it's still a great game, nonetheless. =) So it's action and adventure if that's what you're asking.
Oh well... ever since Warrior within the game went down so low.. Was really disappointing to see how bad The Two Thrones was, but they managed to get it even worse by making the next Prince anime-like and spoiling it really hard. Really sorry to see that happen
Don't listen to him. Previous Prince OF Persia games were also great. Great enough to be regarded as Best PC Action Adventure. Sands Of Time was a No Action Masterpiece.
Warrior Within was the BEST Prince Of Persia.
And hey the new one ROCKS too. Do get it. If you can forgive a little Repetition, its one of the Best Games of 2008.

fantasy game?? fantasy world??wtf!! this game kill prince of persia, the great of prince of persia was his realistic gameplay, plus to that, erika rescue all the time? so when yo die? this it's too easy, so I like old babilonia, the brown escenarios, the places with a lot of green plants, but then all the sand city, that was great.
Other thing it's erika super powers? that's sucks, with this game they kill prince of persia and let Assasin creed take de head, I don't going to buy this game.

Damn I thought the Prince is unique and only one with the acrobatic skills but girl do the acrobatics just as easily..To me it doesn't feel like real acrobatics in this game because the girl help the Prince...maybe I am missing the back-story so I don't know ; I played it at my friend house for couple of hours....

Yeah if they made the sands of time trilogy for wii but not limited to ps2 graphics it would be great. It could handle twice as good graphics as the ps2 versions which would be decent enough.

The first POP games were hard to do though. Thinking of the jumps etc. You could get into it but it was a real challenge where you died a lot from falling/getting spiked etc. This seems to be very easy to jump around. Makes it a bit more boring.

yeah TFU i kinda hate this game i mean its fun but you only fight a few times.... and after like the 3 or 4 misions its a boss and the bosses r eeasy then you have to collect all these power seeds.....wich pisses me off..i dont want to collect seeds i wanna kill stuff!!!!!!!!

different game same title, completely ruined prince of persia, from what iv seen the obvious physics is completely off, realistic game play is gone, puzzle solving was actually the biggest part of the game, they've turned it into a simple point to point acrobatics, a new prince, and dont even get me started on the graphics...to me storylines beat graphics anyday, but why fix it if its not broken. they say they want to be unique, but how can a game be unique if its an addition to a popular series

if you actually listen to what this guy is saying, it mkes great sense. the first 3 persias were awesome but this is a completely new game. and as if theres real physics when magis is involved??? and plenty of games have done extremely well on art graphics. look at the Tales series. (ex. tales of vesperia). to not like this game cuz its different is not a real critic at all.

Not at all. You can't fail in this game... like it doesn't let you die. It's really easy, but it's wicked fun so you'll definitely enjoy it. =)

Well it's not a morality/decision making game like Fallout, but you are running on walls, climbing, jumping from platform to platform, and have some really epic battles with cool looking enemies. All battles are one on one, but they're really fun. It's more of a rental game, because there really isn't much to do after you beat it. But it's still a great game, nonetheless. =) So it's action and adventure if that's what you're asking.

Oh well... ever since Warrior within the game went down so low.. Was really disappointing to see how bad The Two Thrones was, but they managed to get it even worse by making the next Prince anime-like and spoiling it really hard. Really sorry to see that happen

Don't listen to him. Previous Prince OF Persia games were also great. Great enough to be regarded as Best PC Action Adventure. Sands Of Time was a No Action Masterpiece.
Warrior Within was the BEST Prince Of Persia.
And hey the new one ROCKS too. Do get it. If you can forgive a little Repetition, its one of the Best Games of 2008.
