  • you don't have to rejet de carb when you play with the exhaust just with the intake(air filter). yes it fits very well with the "mid" front pipe. I know it cause i bought and install one on my xr. I'm happy with the pipe ,the look, the sound not too strong(police)but the disapointement to me came with the catalogue. It showed the pipe with a braket and it came with a collar and the collar run over the beautifull sticker??? i was so angry that i pulled out the sticker,,, no more sticker

  • If you remove the silencer from the stock exhaust it sounds more ballsy then this

  • @Markmeblablabla I've heard them, and I personally don't think a gutted stock muffler sounds any better than the FMF, and even if you do go that route you're still stuck with an ugly stock muffler, and the FMF is good for more HP as well. Gutting the stocker is a way to free up some HP on the cheap though, provided you re-jet the carb.

  • @blown8950 you dont have to rejet the carb for that....i did on my moped when i had it but my xr doesnt needa be rejetted..the 650 big enough to handle a little change

  • just wondering man is there a thinner seat for the xr650l ? the old xr650r has a nice seat im just wondering if the old xr650r seat will fit on the new models thanks much respect kenny.m

  • Unfortunately (or not) the seats will not interchange. However, after a long ride, I'd much rather be sitting on the L's seat vs. the much firmer and thinner R version, personal preference I guess. There are aftermarket seats available but they are gonna be about the same width. This is a big, wide, heavy bike, but I absolutely love it! Happy Ridin'!

  • nice clean bike man, i want to move up to this from a yamaha ttr250. Im about 5'6 and 140 pounds, do u think id fit?

  • You could touch the pegs but would be on your toes to touch the ground.

  • you couldnt touch the ground. im 6'1'' ridin mine on factory springs and linkage. it is a tall heavy beast.

  • Your in for a shock.

  • @hockeylp87 yes

  • wow that sounds like shittt on my kawsaki 250 its sounds 6 million times better

  • may sound better, but the XR650L motor is ten times better than a kawasaki

  • @Davec775 Pricier too.

  • did you have to re-jet the bike to make it run good?

  • I installed it with the factory header pipe and it fit great. The install is straight-forward and the sound difference is well worth the swap. Have fun and be safe!

  • nice, im getting an FMF Powercore 4 for my XR70R. XRs rule.

  • Sounds good! Not 2 loud. Did u have 2 custom the mid pipe? or did the factory one fit? I have been looking at this exhaust. My jardine has killer sound but is really loud. Thanks 4 posting the vid!
