  • "I'm in that...er.. in THE restaurant..". :)

  • "BE QUIET!"

  • Come back Chris Morris!!!!!

  • @TheSnowyDrake oh as well as everyone who was apart of this, modern day comedians are as about as funny as an arab on an aeroplane. quite serious business that.

  • I slept longer than anticipated

  • peter you've lost the news

  • 'Peter you've added nothing.'

  • This has nothing to do with the September 11th attacks. They are mereley a vehicle he is using to parody the news. You must research before commentating. Look at the threads throughout his work.

  • lol

  • hilarious!

  • Chris Morris needs to return to television. The modern day news is crying out for the kind of satire and parody, that only he can provide!

  • Im in a meeting oops.

  • Peter O'Hanra-Hanrahan is a terrible reporter! How on earth does he keep getting work?

  • "The tower I'm in is collapsing, I'm collapsing, Chris, under the sheer... I've managed.. I'm out! I'm out!.. Uuh.. I'm very.. fu.. rumd.. I'm not there."

    Great "corresponding", Peter.

  • Too soon ?

  • Error 404: Humor not found

  • @nameofthepen Sap

  • @nameofthepen that is such a shit gag

  • @nameofthepen because it's "humour".

  • Hahahaha!!!!!!!!

  • Most of the comments on here 'have added nothing'. So ahead of it's time people are STILL doubting it's authenticity!!

  • This is obviously fake but its still funny

  • @wahhagoogoo Obviously indeed. It's a satirical comedy show. I don't think they went out to fool anyone.

  • good old BBC News 24 :)

PS (i know its a Chris Morris skit)

  • "Peter, you've added nothing."

  • Read. The. Tags.

  • Are people that dumb? Its a parody by Chris Morris. Christ you Seppos are gullable.

  • Dumb fuckers this is an old British comedy news programme called... The Day Today

  • Wait, so is this a skit or did this guy actually get caught in a lie? I'm thinking it's the former.

  • LOL

  • If this is real, then this guy is soooo lucky not to have been there that day

  • this seems fake

  • "Floor 107 no longer gives a particularly good view of New York" lmao

  • This can't be real.

  • @Mattieman1337 It's not real.

  • Sooo funny.

  • wow ...

  • 10 years on - It never gets old!

  • lol, Youtube comments are the BILE of humanity - that's why you should NEVER look at them!

  • @jimmicreesti Too true.

  • This is possibly the only genuinely funny humour you can derive from 9/11

  • my birthday is at 9-11-97 o.0

  • @SuperOriginalXD 9th November 1997?

  • @SuperOriginalXD Yeah who cares?

  • @SuperOriginalXD Damn son your too young for this o.o

  • So what, exactly, is this from? A one off web episode?

  • @philkensebben2000 The Day Today DVD

  • The man behind this show "Chris Morris" is now a film director, his debut film was out last year, .. called "Four Lions", its an excellent comedy about 4 muslim suicide bombers in London. I saw it last week and , .. no pun intended, "It blew me away". Very funny, well acted, well worth seeing. .. check out the trailer on youtube.

  • I'm out!

  • The sound insulation in these buildings is extraordinary.

  • Brilliant!

  • ahahahahaha!!! Perfect.

  • wtf? The Day Today lasted from 1994-1997, then Brass Eye took over. So how is this covering an event in 2001??

  • @Aexexx

This sketch was made as a hidden easter egg for The Day Today DVD.

  • @Venator70 I've had this dvd for years and only found out about this today! WTF!

  • @Aexexx errr wrong. Day Today only made for one series in 1994. clearly this is just a special

  • @ErniePi ok thanks for the correction.

  • This is why Chris Morris is hated in the media .... and loved by the people....

  • Superb!

  • wow. I missed this one.Peter O'Hanrahanrahan overslept? Convienient. Maybe he was in on it?

  • Trenta percenta

  • Peter, you've lost the news!

  • Of course, the only footage of the first plane only runs about a second and a half before impact...

  • classic o'hanra hanrahan

  • "Are you near a television? I'd like you to turn it on. Tell me what you can see." lol

  • haha that was fucking awesome :)

  • its now part of the basement lol

  • This is brilliant, it's quite amazing that he's taken a subject matter where if anyone makes any kind of comedy about it they are slaughtered and everyone jumps on the bandwagon but he's managed to make it so no one can possibly complain or be 'offended' about this.

  • chris morris got the show "Jam" and the follow up "Jaaam" on channel 4. He also wrote Nathan Barley and helped to write The I.T Crowd after the peadogeddon episode.

  • @djcs1

He was in the I.T Crowd...

  • "Later, what is a hijacked airliner and how does it crash".......HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

Spot on piss-take of dumbed-down news!

  • 'Well I-ah. Ah. Oh my God. Er, one of the towers has collapsed, fortunately not the one I'm in, the other one, the one I'm in is, is, one of the tow-the other tow-THE TOWER I'M IN IS COLLAPSING!'

  • It's on the DVD as an Easter Eggs

  • can anyone tell me where this is from as this isnt featured in the radio series or on the dvd ? info please

  • @TR0LL2R0CKS My guess would be that it's not on any audio or DVD releases because it's not actually Chris Morris, just very convincing (and hence, very funny) impersonators.

  • @WilfredsBackUp wikipedia has this down as a genuine sketch that is a dvd extra

  • @WilfredsBackUp Can you provide some evidence for that assertion?

  • @TR0LL2R0CKS I think you can find this if you click into the 'episode' bit, click to episode 4 and then return to the main menu and this should start up

  • "Sipping a cappuccino!"

  • I'm out! I'm out! I'm very...fo, run...I'm not there.

    Ah, this is genius.

  • "BE QUIET!" !!!!!!!!! Absolutely epic! After I picked myself up off the floor and breathed in again I find this sketch rather moving. I think that makes it genius.

  • 'WHAT IS A HIJACKED AIRLINER AND HOW DOES IT CRASH' LOL

  • Peter you've lost the news!

  • Peter O'Hanraha-hanrahan: class act.

  • I'm out! I'm out!

  • haaha wow peter o-hanraha-hanrahan lying at being at the observation deck on 9/11...Morris is fearless

  • floor 107 no longer gives a particually good view of new york

  • How good would it be if Chris Morris had worked on a new series of this instead of doing stuff like being in lame sitcoms and directing a disappointing movie.

  • @hardcorenerd84

You can blame the TV moguls for that.

After his brilliant Pedophile "Brass Eye" special, the complaints it caused meant that he'd never get his own show on TV again.

  • @hardcorenerd84 The I.T Crowd is not lame and his movies arn't disappointing I have to disagree but thats just my opion, In interviews he says he gets bored of doing things quickly thats why he's forever doing new things, It would be amazing if the made another series at least another episode, I'm not sure if any channels would let him have his own show after the 2001 brasseye special which is a crime!

  • 'What is a hijacked airline, and how does it crash?' Awesome. :D

  • in light of what you've just gleaned....... classic

  • Chris morris is a pure satirists genius

  • fucking funny

  • FUCK I KNEW THERE WERE NO PLANES THANK YOU FOR MAKING US LAUGH AT TRAGEDY ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,AGAIN

  • I'm out!

  • I love the way Morriss dismissively says "Peter, you've added nothing."

  • It's now part of the basement

  • This is such a funny sketch.

  • 26 people missed the like button. Long sighted dickheads

  • @astralastralastral is it really Chris morrs?

  • nice try. but it's not Chris morris. very like the sketch in TDT when the guy cliamed he could speak german. but

  • @Stube437 You are talking 'nonce-sense'. It is Chirs Morris and Patrick Marber doing the 'Lost News' routine, this time using the Twin Towers as the subject matter. This skit was released on the 2004 10 year anniversary DVD re-release of the series.

  • @Stube437 you're absolutely wrong. it's Morris.

  • @tomdissonance so i've found out. He's ripped himself off though.

  • "Peter, you've added nothing."

  • uuuuuhhhhhh...so rough. so rough but funny. damn brits with your dry as sand humor.

  • @busterdog321 That's us!

  • Peter, you've added nothing

  • It's a clear crisp morning in New York, Chris.

  • @akf2000 Yes! This is the funniest line in the whole thing...Kudos.

  • brilliant, i've got the DVD and never knew there were extras on it.

  • laughing my arse off!!!!! Bloody brilliant.

  • you're lying in a news grave

  • trente percenter

  • @wazinoz "I don't like it but I'll have to go along with it"

  • "So the meetings are going ahead?!"

    "...That's right Chris..."

love that moment of hesitation, like he's realised something might be going on

  • @BalsamicWeevil it's a classic paxmanism chris morris does it sooo well

  • "It seems like a movie"

    The greatest journalistic cliche.

  • @penchanskii Funnily enough, The Scotsman newspaper, in its 12th September morning edition that year, began its front page article about the terror attacks by talking about how the scenes were reminiscent of Hollywood disaster movies right in the very first sentence. Talk about tasteless and getting the wrong perspective LOL...

  • its been aaaaaages since I laughed so much!!!! BRILL!

  • fantastic satire !!

  • Ich nichten spichten

  • @MrJizmonkey

    Ich nichten lichten

  • love this, Chris Morris classic!

  • Applause to Chris Morris! One of the very few british comedians with the gall to perform comedy beyond the line where most people are afraid to go!

  • Superlative-like the lax embrace of the enduring snarl-ace.

(The head fuck tricks are similar to those of ISLAM Scientology etc-Mr MORRIS is like an antidote!

  • Chris sounds like Paxman.

  • @PrimaIScream

Probably because he is Paxman; he dubs Paxman's voice on Newsnight (Paxman has a high-pitched Cornish accent in real life).

  • @jazzx251 That's so true. It takes 3 hours to record 30 minutes of Newsnight when Paxman is on.

  • @ascolti It is Chris Morris and Patrick Marber. It was an easter egg extra on the Day Today special edition DVD. There's also two with Morris and Steve Coogan as Alan Partridge, plus one other which is a reunion of the cast, such as Peter, Valerie Sinatra and Brant, the visual cartoonist from The Daily Telegraph & Partridge.

  • Love it!

  • Peter you've added nothing.

  • I'm out! I'm out!'

  • i sleep longer than anticipated somtime's

  • brilliant! Thanks for posting this!!

  • Bloody marvelous! Where did you get this from?

  • does anyone know where i can see the episode of brass eye on september the 11th? apparantly it was banned and i aint sure if it even got released anywhere. Chris goes on about some owner of a car suing the owners of the wtc for not teaching staff the proper way to exit windows in order to minimize damage on impact of parked cars below. I only ever heard about the episode but can never find it.

  • Peter Ohanarahanrahan!

  • the moment of realisation, "whe..e.. ahhh, ahh,...... oh my god" so well done.

  • this is gonna get a few more hits soon i fear !!!! four lions looks amazingly funny !

  • @plantvitality go watch it, it's amazing!!

  • Funny right up to the bit where you realise Peter's incompetance actually saved his life, and the characters realise it too

  • @jbmadscientist Yes his incompetance is legandary! Never gets the sack though.

  • the tower im in is collapsing, im collapsing chris, Im out! soooooo funny

  • This is brilliant!

  • awesome, morris is lord.

  • @TheQuicheMandrill Indeed he is. We are not worthy!

  • "The sound insulation in these building is extraordinary" lol.

  • My tower is collapsing...I"m out!

  • this is simply epic. Morris is a genius.

  • Peter O'Hanrahanrahan for president.

  • Comedy today doesn't compare to Chris Morris

  • @cisco9x

'The Onion News' is an American version of The Day Today and its not bad.

Its here on youtube so check it out.

    Morris rules though.

  • @imperialpod Agreed the Onion is very good. But Morris is transglalactically out of this universe. And a bit further probably. If I had half his talent and a quarter of his nerve I would be about as funny as the Onion.

  • @pme96

Absolutely, Morris is on his own plateau, few come close, but its still nice for others to aspire. Got to be better than endless 'Friends' sitcom clones anyway.

  • @imperialpod 'The Onion News' is too American for my liking.

Can't beat the British humour in 'The Day Today'.

  • @kazimann

Agreed, British humor rules no doubt.

South Park and the Simpsons are a couple of exceptions to the rule regarding Yank comedy ie.....Yank comedy is by and large.....crap.

  • @imperialpod Don't forget Seinfeld and Curb your Enthusiasm, there is a lot of good Yank comedy out there among the Friends and Will and Grace, don't be so hard on yourselves!

  • @kazimann

This and "Brasseye" were way ahead of their time.

Brasseye's classic pedophile special caused outrage and even got pulled.

And yet, looking back, it's no worse than any of the better "Onion" episodes.

(Brasseye was the sequel to this series, made by the same team, a sort of take on Panorama and sensationalist current affairs documentary programmes)

  • your at the world trade centre?

    lol

    So good....

  • The Day Today = satirical genius. Long live Morris and anyone else with a similar combination of balls and talent.

  • Peter is a good man.

  • I'm out Chris!

  • well ahh ahhhh ahhh.

  • if you haven't watched "the day today" you won't get it all

  • Comment removed

  • On disc 1 enter the episode select screen and then press title to return to the main menu.

Remain idle on the main menu...

  • This is incredible. Love it.

  • Is this for real? As in the day today, parodied the 9/11 attacks?

  • Its a hidden extra on the DVD.

  • @kamtona yes later on though, the proper day today show where broadcast in the 90's. this is just a one off

  • @kamtona Nah, it's CGI'd.

  • @GSTQ1707 don't say that people are still banding on about holographic planes hitting the WTC? i don't suppose you know but this myth was exposed, it was created by an older woman in the US with a psychiatric disorder, she hid her identity for a couple of years until she made a video showing her face...and her views, sadly her brain-toss has already been adopted by feeble minded dumb fucks world wide because of the youtube exposure she gained in the few years she was anonymous.

  • Fresh, pure genius every time I listen again.

  • This is immense; Chris Morris is beyond legendary. Cannot wait till Four Lions.

  • LEGEND.

  • This is an extra on The Day Today's DVDs, a hidden Easter Egg. Somehwat hard to get.

  • I'm out!

  • Peter is always bullshitting. Glad he got caught eventually.

  • Peter always got caught out in every skit dude

  • LOL "...yes, a day.." ..."BE QUIET!!!!"

  • Outragous comedy gold
