  • so talented; voice, musician, lyricist, arranger. great venue them lil' border stages. saw her many times. love her passion.

  • Who knew the bass player from The Eagles was so cute.... ohh wait.. that was Timothy B. Schmidt LOL

  • As an artist I know all too well how record companies way back then f****ked it for many artists as well as MGMT.....

  • Borders filed bankruptcy

  • genius at work.

thanks Rickie, now none of us mere mortals can ever play a gig like that without thinking of how you've forever altered that experience.

Yeah man you sounded great, but you ain't no RLJones . . . .

  • this makes my heart aches while feeling warm inside :) so real and beautiful

  • this is NOT accoustic,...

  • Flying Cowboys is my all time favorite album, 20 years straight! Not one other album has been able to remove it from my "for ever- playlist" Rickie, the one that rekindled the flame in my heart. Your lirics are expressions of innerplanes which bound to be explored; in otder to break the chains that keep us small and empty.

  • Don't get me wrong, I once loved RLJ, but I think she could have sold this clip to the CIA for use in Gitmo !!

  • Don't get me wrong, I'm a big fan of RLJ's older stuff but this has that garage band kind of....umm...stuff you hear in your local empty bar...kind of..... only been playing for 6 months sound. Sad... really.

Pity she couldn't gather an ace jazz band and get back to her jazz roots.

  • Talent wins in the long run ♥

  • The woman is a musical genius, it is so very clear, Rickie's new album is a surprising and wonderful collection of new songs. "Balm In Gilead" is another Rickie Lee Jones masterpiece, it really is quite an amazing album. It's a pop album classic...

  • You know what's going on. She's changing because she see's! Do any of you see what's going on these day's. Middle class, poor class going down and the money protecting it's own ass. People used to stand up here in this country. People are standing up all over the world. When do we stand.

  • @inmarkswell lol!

  • Rickie Lee Rocks!

  • @sjtwitch what an A**hole thing to say. I'd never heard of Rickie using and maybe other here hadn't either....rumor monger!

  • Slightly Sonic Youth-ish. No? Great song.

  • me or is RLJ the owner of the greatest writing talent of the 20th century.. Her voice might never win an award, but in my mind, she is at least a grammy.. Maybe a Sabby..(My own award, only two recipients so far..)

  • name both Sabby award winners...

  • I love this woman :)

  • This woman's a genuis... love her dearly !!!!!

  • It seems the media/marketing/record companies forgot or never really knew that she is/was one of the most talented singer/songwriter/artists out there. We haven't forgotten and I think if she had a little help right now, the rest of our children might be able to see and hear what a freaking talent she is. Anybody listening? If they had marketed her more, she would have sold more, fucking freaks.

  • So nice to see this and I can't wait to see more. She is one of the most talented artists/musicians out there.

  • Ricki is the real thing.

  • can't get enough of that voice!!!

  • Yay! I'm in love again. Welcome back Rickie!

  • Ricki puts her story telling into some great music!

  • Excellent. There were more electric guitars than one usually associates with "acoustic" recordings.

  • man i wish i was there! Love Rickie!! Coolsville ..

  • Not enough women with funky uniqueness & instinctive brilliance that cannot be taught; Bjork & let's not forget Cher who is the only woman who can dress crazy nearly naked with class & character; she's some1 with more 2 "say" than any amount of skin revealed could draw attention away from; so when U watch her perform U see her no bullshit mind & heart & principles first which is extremely rare

  • "Funky uniqueness"....... I like that . I think that most people that did not already get bitten by the Rickie bug early on will not like this much. The rest of us would be honored to get so close to this amazing artist.

  • Love this lady; remarkable & beyond most female artists; the funked up cousin 2 Joni Mitchell & then some; love that she's still out there doin what no other woman in the music industry could fathom; the day i discovered this lady's music at 23 yrs old was the day of an inner inkling that i myself might enjoy discovering; 1 day; that "normal" is the biggest dis-ease on the planet...that inkling wound up taking over my entire existence & when i listen 2 Rickie Lee Jones it all makes sense somehow

  • I saw her in Manchester Uk,she made me cry with sheer joy....williet

  • this is one of her greatest songs, the Sermon is a masterpiece, the best album of 2007.

  • She looks, and sounds, great.

  • beautiful! she tears my hear out with this one

  • God!! she just keeps on getting better and better!!!...

  • a pleasure to see at the echoplex!!! keeping it funky wif a bone thug too!!!! FANTASTICH~~

  • Her Name is Ricky Lee Jones, one of the greatest Artist.

God love you, and I love you to !!!!

  • What's her name?

  • Rickie Lee Jones- The Duchess of Coolsville.

Now dont you go forgetting it.

  • It was a joke, nobody know my name. I use to dig Rickie Lee. Not so much any more.

  • Just joshing too. I can't get quite into the "Sermon" album. Dont think anything can match Rickie's first three recordings.

  • all time fav song: Last Chance Texaco

  • To "attumnredapple". You dont like her?? Well fuck you!

  • cool!

  • thanx 4 the pic. 1st time i saw rick lee jones i had just arrived to ann arbor, to the US, as matter of fact. she was just reharsing for the evening show and i made my way to sneak inside the michigan teather on liberty (?) street -right acroos from borders -2 sit at the very end of the room and enjoyed it for a couple of minutes. of course i already knew of her. i guess at the time i already had "cowboy junkies" at home (luanda, angola), nd she mostly likely was doing the "pop pop" tour.

  • Great artist!

    Thank you, Rickie!

    Stefano.
