if someone would like to read about the censorship in Maniac Mansion for the NES search "The Expurgation of Maniac Mansion" it's really interesting and funny.
The fan game "Maniac Mansion Deluxe" and the team who made it were shut down by modern lucasarts ( lucasfangames.de ), but it's still around in abandon ware sites for download.
