@ConceitedCupCake NI test is to test for Equine neonatal isoerythrolysis, where the mare makes antibodies in her colostrum against her foal. Foals that ingest the colostrum develop life-threatening hemolytic anemia. So to prevent that, we send off initial blood samples, and if they come back positive then we muzzle the foal and feed 2 bottles of stored colostrum from our bank, and milk replacer for 24 hours (until when mare stops making colostrum).
