I have a 5150II slant-cab I picked up a few months ago(no 5150 amp(YET), but the '79 VT Classic 212 that came with the deal will do for now), and they have a surprisingly good sound for stock speakers.....

If you're looking to learn to play this stuff, save your money and spend it on something more informative. It's just him playing the songs. He claims he can't read music which is probably true but he won't even mention which string or which fret... not very useful for beginners and some intermediates.

@stangrrrr I was pleased with the dvd, but i can see your point. If you're looking for a slow, boring, step by steb, string by string, fret by fret lesson the dvd is not for you. His dvd isn't supposed to teach you what the tab online could. Its supposed to teach you about the sound and feel of EVH guitar playing. But if you're a beginner looking for basically a video of tabs, don't get the dvd. But if you can learn the tabs by yourself and want to take your skillz further, get the dvd.

i have a stryker 87 300 with the pointed head stock by bannana do you mean rounded at the tip because i do have an extra neck like that without the locking nut.i was going to put it on mine cause it split where the bolts go through the neck for the nut but the glues holding.so i do have the xtra neck

@Guitarwannabee if your still looking for a kramer banana or 5150 neck try ebay, type in either kramer neck or 5150 neck. And they're are also evh 5150 unfinished guitars and kits that you can make into eddies kramer 5150, i just bought one. Hope this helped.

I have the new Wolfgang and have played the old ones a lot. The new one is 1,000 % better.  It's crystal clear. Some of my friends that have tried it can not contain it though. I've got the new amp as well and everyone who touches the guitar can not play it. There's no hiding anything. It's as true of a signal that you can get. The one thing I'm doing to it though is putting one of the new Relic pick-ups in it. We'll see how that goes, it had better kick-ass for $600.

Alright man, I have the same amp, and the same cab, different guitar, but most of the same effects. I dialed in what you go there, and it sounds completely different. One major thing is that I can't get the tone without the mid's being above 5, and rolling the treble off. Is all that bottom end frequency coming from the EVO's? Great playing dude!

I have the 1985 beretta but rose neck bought a mighty mite neck replace the jbl with a eruptor pickup hand wound paf total brown sound loved it so mutch bought a nother and threw it in my pacer.Total brown sound eds old sound.And use an echoplex and it realy gets vintage.

I'd like to say to anybody who would like the ED tone...the meat of his tone is primarily just a 100 Watt super lead Marshall head (but there are many all valve amps that work just fine if you cant get your hands on a nice marshall), thats the heart and soul of his sound. All Tube amp comes first...then effects, even though there are nothing wrong with effects :)

I tried this settings and its great for EVH's songs. Try them. Bass=90degrees Mid=Maximum Treble=35degrees. IT works well on my Zoom Fire amp.
