  • Deutsche Karre, eeyy.

  • a great new channel to find

  • Just tits !!!

  • And the thing is that in their M3 GTS vs the normal GT3 feature video, the GT3 pulled away easily,so this faster version of the already quick GT3 RS would instantly leave the BMW in centuries.

  • My 2nd favorite Porsche after the 911 Turbo !! God i love this car.. Will do my best to own one of these

  • @BuSha6zZ u can't...there are only 600 and they're sold out

  • Best 911 ever? Wat about that 911 GT1 ??

  • Luv it!

  • A Porsche RSR for the road :)

  • Ferrari Scuderia stripe and all...

    but I do love GT3

  • its like CARTOWN in facebook..limited ang highed price...

  • I just cream myself watching this!

  • this guy speaks too softly!

  • this guy should be hosting badger watch or something? sooooooooo boring. at least topgear dont just talk mechanics..

    beirdy weirdy lesbian types!

  • this guy should be hosting badger watch or something? sooooooooo boring. at least topgear dont just talk mechanics..

  • Do a video of GT3 RS 4.0 vs GT2 RS on track.

  • "They are all sold" ... so how come I can configure a new one on the Porsche website??

  • People who cant drive and who want a computer to do the work for them, will not like this car

  • How do people find these cars ugly. this car is pure artwork

  • This has to be the purest driving experience available today!

  • Who knows maybe i don't need it, probably cos i love the 2 i have already have.

  • How can anyone make a dope car like this look boring, i feel no passion from this dude, might aswell be teaching Advanced maths, chemistry or Physics and if it really has to be cars maybe a Bristol or a Roller, but mos def not a car as hot as this, would have been more fun with Tiff needell, Jason Plato or even Clarkson

  • @Nation010 It is enough to know if the car is excellent or not and to feel the ambience in and outside the car - Anyway you will not buy it, so . . .

  • Why do we need to go this fast? Anyone?

  • Love the car, not so much the dude!

  • Has anyone seen any spyphotos of what i can only assume will be the 998?I can`t see how Porsche is going to perfect perfection........

  • after so many iterations of the 997, finally they have the looks of the front spoiler right

  • I love that you guys didnt succumb to the "Top Gear flashy camera" style like every other channel seems like. Kudos there.

  • One of the best street legal ones ever,it is one of those ,oh ..

  • Porsche's 911 range is perfect example of evolution

  • I have heard of rumours of a Flat-8 engine but I imaginge that would make the car overall inefficient over the Flat-6 engines in terms of fuel economy and performance.

  • Thank you for the video.

  • OH MY GOD AWESOME! I am so glad they didn't do a 90 second review for a car like this, wouldnt that be something? lolol

  • ...decades later....

    ...still looks like a beetle.

  • I want

  • Porsche is fuckin GHA-A-AY! Corvette FTW!

  • Porsche - the best grip car

  • This is the car that "Jackass" actor killed himself in.

Note to self: Never drive this car over 130 mph when my alcohol level is two times the legal limit like the "Jackass" actor did..duh.

  • @Nightbird No it's not. He was driving a 997 415hp GT3.

  • @mattyoz0 This IS a 997..the guy says it at the beginning of the video.

  • @Nightbird 3 models later DICK! This is a rs 4.0.

  • @mattyoz0 Yea BITCH I can read where it says it's an RS too..but you made it sound like it wasn't a 997. Now fuck off and do something productive asshole.

  • Wish dunn was here to drive it!

  • I wanto FUCK THIS CAR or have a tresome with it and mercedes

  • so... its got some new stripes?

  • @petrolhead229 Yeah that's all. Wanker.

  • @mattyoz0 wow. wanker.

  • a very special edition

  • GT3 RS 4.0 , R8 GT , M3 GTS , M3 CSL ... It's so stressing such cool cars have limited production . Revs up if you want them unlimited , so the car makers see this !

  • @SaveNurburgring

There'll be quite a few ones on the used market, and if you have the money you can buy one now anyway!

  • Totally agree with fenderusa I don't buy into all the flappy paddle stuff buttons for this buttons for that, I just wanna jump in the car turn the key put the car into gear and start nailing perfect heel and toe downshifts feeling involved with the car.I'd take a caterham over a Ferrari anyday unless it was the f40 though lol

  • rip ryan dunn.

  • Oh man... These souped up Porsches are so much fun to drive in a city where 35 mph is the speed limit!! Its crazy!!! They are specially worth the price because they look exactly (but more douchy) than a regular GT3!!!! AWESOME!!!!

  • meet the new boss. same as the old boss.

    /zzzzzzz

  • @LinooneFan975 James wouldn't know the first thing to analize about this car, even tho he has a Porsche himself and pretty much likes Porsches in general, but mostly Boxters, lol.

  • As great a car as this is, it's dated and flawed when compared to a 458I.

  • @gweflj dated? this is the best type of sports car, not driving aids or comfort, just pure lightweight performance, just you an the car and nothing else!..i dont see how its flawed in any way?

  • @FenderUsa No double clutch transmission. Heavy steel chassis. Basic downforce implementation. Flawed weight distribution etc. A 458I is more advanced in every aspect.

  • @gweflj Porsche invented the dual clutch, and still makes the best one on the market, if they wanted it to have a DCT, it would. It doesn't have a dual clutch because its meant to be a driver's car and DCTs weight too much, it makes more downforce than a 458, costs less, the weight distribution is perfect considering where the engine is. Likely you haven't driven either of them so who are you to bash such a perfectly made car?

  • Porsche - There is no substitute!

  • I wonder if it can be had without any stickers.

  • thumbs up if you would take on of these over a 458 Italia and Gallardo lp 570-4 superleggera

  • @The70srockfan Personaly, I'd take a Mclaren MP4-12C...... In my dreams though.

  • @dragonforce28000 its all up to your personal taste the mclaren has more curb appeal and is a little bit more flamboyant. they're both magnificent cars, this is more a purist car.

  • @The70srockfan I would sure take one because I can grab my own gears :)

    WRX Owner

  • @The70srockfan although i'm a big fan of Porsches, if I had the money, I'd go for the Ferrari in a heart beat.

  • @The70srockfan Anyday.

  • @The70srockfan i would take one over a gallardo but not a 458 italia. the italia is just such a gorgeous car

  • @The70srockfan Really? Over a Superleggera? ;o

  • @VagMan123 notice how i have 73 likes and you have none. and no one can be a "dumbass" for having a different taste in cars than you, that just makes you look ignorant.

  • @The70srockfan

oh so just cause u have 73 likes means me ignorant? u r a fucking retard ferrari are better porsches are good but dumb fucks like u ruin it

  • @VagMan123 i would like to know why you think the 458 is soooo much better than the gt3 rs... sounds like you think it is better because it is a ferrari

  • @Mclaren3054

for one the looks the engine freaking revs to 9k porsches r good fo da track but ferraris r good for ur soul c da differences

  • @VagMan123 what makes a 458 good for the soul exactly?

  • Dude needs to shave badly....

  • A suggestion: STOP DOING 90 sec reviews, do more reviews like this one, but show interior design ass well...

  • i love how it's transmission is a proper 6 speed!

  • isn't gt2 RS bettter&faster than this?

  • @kagolko Dude it is not all about a fraction of a second quicker from 0-60, the main difference between the gt2 and the gt3 is that the gt2 is turboed and the gt3 is naturally aspirated, some people like this because it is a purer experience and it is also higher revving.

  • @MrDas275 - so it's same like with LFA. people like it because it's pure engine and gearbox. no turbos and shit. OK than. Thanks a lot for explaining!!!

  • I keep asking myself how Porsche can make a finer car than the 997 series. These cars have now been refined and perfected to such a point that it is hard to imagine a more perfect sportscar, a more perfect Porsche. But everytime I have assumed Porsche could not do better than they have already done I have been wrong. We'll see...The 4 liter seems to be just the perfection of an idea that goes back to 1948 and earlier: Take one great idea and refine it, refine it, refine it...to Perfection

  • @gurlsingerfan they actually started with a pretty bad idea. they wouldnt need to refine it nearly as much if they had started off with proper engine placement

  • @gurlsingerfan Unfortunately the idea they started with is seriously flawed in the beginning. I bet you any money Porsche would be able to make a better car if they're not stuck with that stupid ass-mounted 6 cylinder engine.

  • @igotnoideawhattoput but if u think about it, u come to the conclusion that that ass-mounted engine Porsche insists in using is, much like it's never changing shape, one of it's defining features. Take Jennifer Lopez and that big beautiful fat ass, it's her defining feature when it comes to her body.

  • @rafa281 What amuses me is that critics can explain why the rear engined 911 is a terrible technical idea but harder to explain how the car has been successful (even legendary) for decade after decade as a sports car, sports racing car, rally car, and all round art piece, desired by well informed racers, sportscar enthusiasts and connoisseurs around the globe. How does one explain it? Can this many people be wrong for this many decades? The design just FEELS RIGHT, LOOKS RIGHT, and WORKS.

  • @igotnoideawhattoput I have heard that argument made many times. and it seems hard to overcome, but... History has not born out the argument that a mid engine Porsche has been better than the rear engine 911 (most folks still prefer the 911 over the Boxster or the Cayman), or that a front engine Porsche would be better (most folks still much prefer 911's to 924's, 944's or 928's. I love the Cayman, but the 911's still seem to be in a special place in comparison....

  • @gurlsingerfan Gee.... Maybe IF THEY MOVED THE DAMN ENGINE TO WHERE ITS SUPPOSED TO BE that would be true. I don't doubt the strength of Porsche engineers, but maybe next time they should start with a design that gives them a hope of getting a balanced car without spending all of their engineering budget to overcome the flaws of a 1930s design.

  • @gurlsingerfan Well, for one, they can stop making them out of mild extruded steel like a Hyundai Sonata. Porsche is the only steel monocoque "super car" being produced on the planet.

  • @lived666 Do you feel that has been a major shortcoming in any real, or that it has hampered the cars performance?

  • @gurlsingerfan Don't get me wrong, I'd trade a kidney for a GT3 RS 4.0, but they are overpriced for what they are. There is no question that a lighter, stiffer, better balanced chassis would improve performance.

  • @lived666 Agreed on the price, but I have learned the first 2 rules about German cars (I have owned 3). First rule, they are always, always, overpriced. Second rule, people keep buying them! So that is not exactly an incentive for the Germans to drop prices...:-)

  • @gurlsingerfan ..

    Agreed..Very well said..

  • @gurlsingerfan you pay for what you get... germans are always a step ahead on quality...

  • @lordoftheriffs79 what about aston martin ? Pure quality

  • @Austrianguy1995 Your thinking finishing, he probably meant engineering.

  • @gurlsingerfan have you considered that because its over priced people will likely to buy it 2nd hand (if you have kept it in a good condition and it is the right model with the right specs), which means that the depreciation of German Cars are much less then other cars like Hyundais, Alfas, and even japanese cars. Therefore theoretically you only pay a little more to get the best quality in the world, because as you sed the first hand price is so high, the 2nd hand market will always be there?

  • @gurlsingerfan by saying "people keep buying them" it will also imply that it has an arguably larger second hand market which makes its depreciation livable. Therefore you don't actually pay that much compared to another country's car for the best quality. and they are really good.

  • @Desmonddd2002 yes, I have heard that...the case: total cost of ownership is very reasonable given the whole cycle of ownership. There is something else, not often talked about: The German makers, (Porsche, BMW, Mercedes) were always brilliant at not undercutting their own designs. A 1968 Cadillac looks ancient today, but a 1968 Porsche 911 still looks very contemporary given that it is 43 years old! Likewise, BMW Baveria's. They develop a design, not outdate it out of existance.

  • @gurlsingerfan yeah thats true like very very few american cars would be desirable today (i admit that there is like a mustang or something) but if you consider Alfas, old Mercedes, old Jaguars, ferraris, even old lancias they are still very much desirable today.....

  • @gurlsingerfan - fahrvergnügen has its price ;))

  • @gurlsingerfan well they could finally admit the engine is in the wrong place. things have moved on the last 60 years, you don't see modern formule one cars with the engine in the front, and no downforce. don't get me wrong, porsche did a great job of perfecting an outdated idea.

  • @gurlsingerfan i think the 918 will be better than all the 911s but we will see

  • @gurlsingerfan Haha, was thinking the exact same thing after the second gen 996 GT3 RS, and then came the 997 GT3 RS and I said the same thing again, and then the gen 2 997 GT3 RS, and again... and now this. I don't know how Porsche does it but the important thing is that they do, and keep doing it.

Go ahead Porsche, make the Cayenne, the Panamera, and even the 'Cajun' - it's all good if you keep making cars like this one.

  • @gurlsingerfan My thoughts exactly. How to perfect perfection?Seen any spyshots 2 hint about the changes? See EVOTV`s 997 GT3 RS vs. Ferrari 458 italia.Chris Harris explains it so well.Presented as a kinda "the last of the old,the first of the new" reffering 2 how sportscars used to be(997) and how itwill be(458) and hes such a good presentor,he gets the point across so well.So 4 Porsche 2 remain PORSCHE there is no way 2 go but 4wards if u can understand.4wards beeing stuff we dont want on a 911

  • @gurlsingerfan To be honest, the 4.0 is an example of Porsche continuously refining a bad idea until they reach perfection. Just wait until 2050 when the Cayman has had as much engineering as the current 911. That will be true perfection.

  • @marshknute 2050 ya say? I would be 91 years old then,,,,if I make it that long I will give it a test drive! :-) By the way, I am not one of the 911 fans who will beat up on the Cayman, I think it is a wonderful bit of work, I thought they got the styling just right on it, a bit retro but not too much....it is just that the 911's are in a different realm realy, as much technological art pieces as cars.

  • @gurlsingerfan finally someone agrees with me on Porsche; everyone blabs about how we get the same thing every year from Porsche, but if it is not broken, don't fix it!

  • @pfflyer15 Oddly enough, I was just watching a clip from Fellini's great film,,,"8 1/2"...in the film Marcello Mastroianni and Claudia Cardinale step out of a theatre, and there on the curb, her car...a Porsche 356. Even in black and white, the pure shape, the pure idea of the thing...so pretty, so perfectly right. In shades of black and white, Claudia Cardinale standing with a 356 in the background behind her, every fashion photographer since has wanted a shot that pretty, that timeless. :-)

  • @gurlsingerfan yeah i know, what a beautiful car!

  • @LinooneFan975 perharps Jeremy should drive it instead ;-)

  • i find it amusing and they announce a "new" Porsche 911 and claim it to be "the most exclusive Porsche" or whatever

  • id like them to keep the 911 and replace the back seats with the engine. CAN U IMAGINE how awesome they would become? i know its famous for the RR but times have changed. If they keep the RR layour it will be still good. but it wont be able to handle those newer MR supercars that are coming up.

  • @mrbenyong Not all 911's are RR layout, the 911 turbo is AWD. But take away that rear engine and take away 911 heritage. Porsche has been so adamant on not changing the layout and they have figured out ways to get around the crappy handling characteristics of RR layout and I don't think they'd throw that away.

  • The line down the middle makes it look like a V W beetle.

  • 4 words...I JUST WANT ONE!! I just love the GT3,any GT3,it is the best car in the world.

  • Anyone agree Porsche should make cooler headlights?

  • Porsche have added some extra cubes, love it!

  • Comment removed

  • @Stinger427NGX

not cool man....not cool at all.

  • Ummm.......I wonder how the next generation is going to look like?

The current generation is looking quite dated now.

  • @hondacar There are spy videos out on the new one already. The change is even more subtle than from the 996 to the 997, with a slightly wider track and some revised headlights. It's hard to tell exactly how it'll look because they've got a bit of camouflage but expect it to look like a 911. And dated or not, it's got the best aerodynamics in the supercar business (drag coefficient around 0.28 vs 0.31 from Ferrari's lowest-drag car) and I think they look great.

  • what a marvel !

  • The Ryan Dunn edition has extra cup holders, ashtrays and no seatbelts

  • @khunopie dude, that is seriously not funny, at all. shut up

  • @AviTheBlader Seriously he can put his beer down and smoke while traveling at speeds where a seat belt won't make a difference

  • sorry if this is a n00b question, but what are the differences between the GT2 RS and the GT3 RS is one more track orientated and the other more road?

  • @irishgandalf757 That's a good question...

I think the gt2 is a light version of the Turbo, the gt3 is natural aspirated and was designed from the ground for the track...

But there's more to it certanly....

  • @sarokas12 thank you for that clarification

  • @irishgandalf757 the GT2 RS is twinturbocharged, where the GT3 RS is NA (Naturally Aspirated)

from the reviews i've seen, the GT2 RS is like an unleashed beast, while the GT3 RS is more poise ...

that's what i can tell you really, without bothering with mechanical stuff ..

  • @oOoironhideoOo Thank you that's all I was looking for, i'm no engineer so the mechanics may be lost on me anyway.

  • the ultimate sports car

  • Can't believe they didn't give us the new power figure. Thats all i really wanted to hear..

  • I love this Porsche the best. No turbos, nice loud exhaust, and revs past 8000.

  • Call me racist, but I've always disliked it when reviewers spin the back tires in a car that's built for grip. Its like banging a hot blond and turning the lights off....

  • are the red things on the door the door opener?

  • @WhiteIceMan3 Yes, those straps are the "handles". It's a weight savings measure.

  • I liked the explanation of the diff between boring and stroking and how that affected the torque curve.

    Awesome review.

  • Q: Need or want? A: NEED!

  • Hey guys look. It's a manual gearbox!

  • @TopGear1Stig so? its what real drivers want

  • @AviTheBlader Cool your jets. I was saying that: "Finally, a car with a manual gearbox instead of some other form of changing gears."

  • but does it blend?

  • If I had the money to buy this car, I wouldnt. Cuz I live in a place where there are too many ghetto thieves. I would spend it on a toyota supra and buy some guns.

  • @LetJimiT8keOver wtf?! new design? you don't really know much about porsches, do ya?

  • nice beard bro ;)

  • i cant keep up with all the 911's out there, doesnt help that they all look the same either

  • @LetJimiT8keOver True, but keep in mind that a 911 with a revolutionized design isn't really a 911.

  • Its almost impossible to make a car better then the (already brilliant) GT3 RS

Perhaps this car is GT3 RS's evil twin brother

  • This car can kill jackasses... :)

  • way to tune out the wind noise guys! keep up the good work!

  • That's a lot of high praise but I sort of agree.

  • I want one. Now.

  • RACE-CAR-ON-PLATES

  • wtf with those front fins? Leave those to the japs

  • I find this video easy to masturbate to.

  • Porsche does it again... What a gorgeous car.

  • That's not a new 911. It's just the old one.

  • @Hostilenemy He said it was a 997, and that the next gen is due out next year. So, they are bringing out a bunch of special editions...

  • @twztd28 Hmmm. You missed the point. What I said was a joke from Top Gear.

  • @Hostilenemy Hahaha ohhhh my bad...

  • The gtr is turbo charged this Porsche is all natural baby!!!

  • i think they should give Ryan Dunn's name to the new 911

  • @Mrjorrekke

fuck Ryan Dunn's stupid ass for destroying a perfectly good GT3 and an innocent passenger.

  • @Mrjorrekke Why?

He was drunk driving and wrecked one. Why would Porsche ever want to associate with that?

  • @Mrjorrekke Yes, why don't we honor drunk driving?

  • this guy doesn't sound that excited about driving that car.

  • great, but how does the stereo sound?.....hahahah

  • this engine is almost the same as the one they use in their GT race cars!

  • Once again Porsche built a very competent car. While recent production cars tend to overwhelm you with technology that leads to a syntetic driving experience, Porsche shows that a perfectly set up chassis and a proper manuel can bring out the most engaging drivers car on the market today. Sure Ferrari might be more exclusive, but every drivers driver will prefer the GT3 on a track or winding road. No wonder you'll see countless GT3s on trackdays all around the world.
