The RIAA and FBI ignored the following while thousands were being sued for music piracy. A NC police officer was RECORDED. The World Wide Web was launched in 1990, thanks to Tim Berners Lee, most people had a PC and an Internet connection by 1995, by 1998 file sharing had grown wide spread and the Digital Millennium Copyright Act went into effect by the end of 1998. The corporate elitists will never be able to shutdown all file sharers, there will always be a way. The music/movie industry is filthy rich, with billions of dollars. If I were a singer I'd make my money touring concerts and encourage bootleg filming

nice satire, and this is exactly why I download every single binary bit of music, movies, and tv from free sources. If the RIAA was FAIR, I would go back to buying, but for now, I'm glad to DL thousands of dollars in media to screw them.
And you RIAA are full of shit and right now im singing your song bitch!! guess what you can do? nothing, cuz you don't even know the song i'm singin' i hate you!!!
Remember people still have to buy music like this video implies to upload music and post it on website's like youtube. So yeah basically we all can search for almost whatever music we want to hear illegally without downloading the music and possibly getting slapped with a big fat greedy lawsuit. If they're going to file lawsuits heck why don't they just sue anyone who watches or listens to videos with music in them? because they can't sue us because they would be sueing over one billion people.
Some inaccuracies in the video; The RIAA does allow you to copy the CD for personal use, but you cannot sell it or share it online. Also pertaining to live performances of recorded music, or playing recorded music in a public place, that is the jurisdiction of ASCAP.
The Obama administration for the first time is weighing in on a Recording Industry Association of America file sharing lawsuit and is supporting hefty awards of as much as $150,000 per purloined music track.
The government said the damages range of $750 to $150,000 per violation of the Copyright Act was warranted.
War crimes do exixt crazyperson1000. You must not have been paying attention. Or like HellNoKittee said, maybe you have been in a cave? Maybe you can not get the news inside of your cave? LOL Wake up!
Yes, sadly that is what it is. But there is sometimes justification such as in defending ones country, other individuals, or ones self. There are still rules when it comes to wars. Are you unfamiliar with the Geneva Conventions? If you are, educate yourself by doing a Google search. You will learn a lot. ;)
its simple..if we all stopped buying music and video and stopped listening and watching it.we could all very well have them at our knees.i stopped buying and even listening to any music or watching any movies or shows back in 2007 and it did me some good.sure im on the internet for now for information and other reading.but simply put dont give in and just dont bother supporting any of them or even downloading it for free even.we dont need the entertainment industry to live and survive.
Brilliant. And don't think the RIAA sub humans wouldn't do this if they could. Amazing that people choose to spend their lives harassing people. Sickening.
The only *problem* is that most of the music we hear on a daily basis is owned by a dying industry. And they're dying because, to put it bluntly, they're NO LONGER RELEVANT. Today we have home recording equipment and internet publishing...there's no reason anyone should sign a record deal any more, except to become millionaires. And any musician who's in it for the money is not a real artist. Let the "professionals" get real jobs and make music in their off-time, just like the rest of us.
I agree, there is no need for record labels & record corporations. I don't support legalizing free music because free music actually increases record sales. Only the stupid & ignorant actually beleive in the RIAA. If a artist wants to get rich without a record label, they can promote their work to the public domain & find other ways to invest. Artists (music & art) don't get paid much, so its wise to have a backup plan. The Soundscan statistics show it. The RIAA sales nothing but crap.
True. I myself am a independent music, however, you have to be careful when you download "independent" mp3s. Some sites may state the files as free when they are really not---so do some research before downloading.
Sites like Jamendo rule. Independent artists are starting to realize the album should be a promotional vehicle rather than the source of revenue. The large record labels? Still clueless and way behind the learning curve.
Oh sure...& while your at it, make everyone pay for downloading .gif & .jpg images online! People can get them free! While your at it, make everyone pay for seeing their emails & downloading Adobe Flash Player (which people get for free.) See what happens when copyrights go too far? It screws the economy! Fucking douche! Librals suchs as yourselves are what made the record companies shoot themselves in foot! Music is art, not a product. Stop ruining people's lives!
I'm talking about people who think you should pay for everything you download online (even at a free value). Copyright is no longer a good thing anymore.
The newest rigged game played is to record a new band's music in exchange for all of the music rights. Then they dump the band. The band doesn't get paid for their efforts, they are giving up their rights to income in exchange for the a chance of exposure.
The studio then sells the rights in bundles to larger studios, who may or may not market and release the music.
Either way, the musician doesn't make a dime and their music may never be heard.
Some guy named Jimmy Webb, in his book "TuneSmith" complains that the RIAA does it's best to keep from paying the musicians by charging them high fees for everything they do. He relates a few stories about musicians that recorded big hits and ended up owing the studios, while they made millions.
If you want to support artists, go to their concerts. That is where the actual artists make the most money instead of most of it going directly to the record label.

and I wonder if he realizes that no other candidate will stop this machine of welfare, warfare than my main man Ron Paul!
So the song that keeps running thru my mind is really an illegal infringement on the right of greedy corporate bastards to profit endlessly from the work of others? Will a tin foil hat keep Media Sentry from detecting it and suing me?

Clarification.
1) You can make copies of your music BY LAW
2) However, you CANNOT bypass DRM...
So... while you have the legal right to copy music you are not allowed to bypass protection schemas.

Alot of their success was supported by investors who are, in other words, record companies.
I'll tell you one thing - many of those artists you see flaunting 'their riches' aren't nearly as wealthy as they portray to be.
Those artists made it because their labels marketed the shit out of them.
