  • @NinjaWarriorDude A quick sweep will ruin the choke because the person being choked would now be on top and could frame the neck, break their grip etc. Though i agree that an "Ezekiel Choke" most likely stop the fight.

  • before the gracies who would have known there are so many techniques on the ground. respect

  • @Uberboy07 lol! judo, sambo, wrestling? roman greek wrestling? there are extremley many techniques in bjj, but there are also many techniques in judo, for an example that bjj doesnt have! I love bjj more that any martial art! but i would never underestimate judo.

  • @takidabossen good point - i knew this. that was a foolish comment of me. I guess I was just really impressed with this one heh. /facepalm

  • @Uberboy07 well you should be! it is a genious technique! and trust me there are probobly very few judokas that knows this technique.

  • @ 4:37 Ezekiel choke. Match over.

  • nice

  • hey bro this is in my grading and i was wondering do you need to scissor or do you just rock around becouse when i roll i never pull it off and it just dont feel right.

  • rite after u do this move u gotta get ur base cus after u roll him hes gonna have the over under on ur legs and he could just re-roll u

  • this old school stuff no one is going to let you get an under hook or keep the leg up after feeling the hook they will drop base and even if you get the under hook they will wizer and drop hips and base.

It is a great beginner tec

  • i have hit this on high level purple belts, gi and no gi...as long as the technique is done perfectly it can be achieved at any level...maybe you forget that the very first submissions you learn are the most successful as well (guilltone, RNC, armbar, triangle)...any technique works the way its supposed to if its done perfectly.

    cheers.

  • 2 words:

    ROGER GRACIE

  • Just because you dont have a solid understanding of "old school stuff" and you cant pull it off on good people doesnt mean thats the rule for everyone. every great beginner technique becomes better with age and experience. watch kron gracie and roger gracie in competition. very basic moves pulled off at the world class level.

  • I started in 93

  • @1lostinspace Dude. The basics can always work. I would rather be a basic effective bjj guy than a flashy bad bjj guy. If the guy drops his hips you can use something else.

  • @nunchukus

yeah you find your self defending a pass

  • @1lostinspace You gotta be dynamic. You know what that is good that I find myself defending a pass because then I will know how to defend. I put myself on purpose in bad positions. Thats why I am good.

  • @nunchukus

    yes you are the best!

  • this is simply great better instruction would be impossible keep up the same excellent work !

  • would`ve liked to see bas doing that to randleman in their fight a decade ago ;)

  • last weekend i was in a fight and im here to tell you its exactly like he says. i won the fight with the elavated hook sweep into an arm bar,

  • Great attension to detail.

  • very good explaination

  • Awesome self defense technique guys and I know it's a common situation because every time we get a new student with a wrestling background this smashing is exactly what they do.

  • @JRT140 My cousin has done wrestling for 2 years, I tired his ass so much that the next day he passed out and went to sleep in the middle of the day. And he was serious, I was playing some BJJ.
