I ride a 2011 muscle since August. Great bike generally speaking for the performance - Design wise I really don't know why engineer bother putting fake front air intakes for the sake of the look!! It would have been so cool to have 2 side real air ram (like the Vmax) feeding the air box instead of a centered hidden tube under the air box cover and two fake air intake!

The v-rod is a sportbike not a crusier like most harleys. In the sportbike world it is a dog. could not touch a busa or a zx 14, even a ducati would smoke it.

@toonggalle It doesnt sound like that at all once you buy some actual pipes that are worth a damn. I agree it sounds like a ricer in this video, but it doesnt sound that bad in person. Plus once I put my V&H pipes on mine, made it sound just like a hog. I love my muscle always will.

@toonggalle I'm not sure why they made it sound like that in the video because even stock it sounds nothing like that. It sounds very wimpy stock but not like a crotch rocket. Maybe they were trying to appeal to the crotch rocket market. Put some Vance and Hines or Tabs on it and it sounds awesome.

I have owned 31 bikes including VRod and Rocket. No contest, the Rocket kicks ass. Both bikes stop real well but Rocket corners better and has a lot more usable torque and a heap more power low down. Love my Harleys but this is a no brainer.

Try 1.5 times the HP and double the torque then the V-Rod..

I'm getting 141 HP and 137 ft pounds of torque at the rear wheel with only the aftermarket pipes right now.

It will eat a V-Rod for lunch.

The Rocket may be the ugliest and gayest bike I have ever seen!!!

It looks like a tractor engine with two wheels attached to it!!!

Also, it is nearly 2300cc and the V-Rod Muscle is 1250cc.

With the HUGE size of the engine it only puts out about 20 more HP, not EVEN CLOSE to 1.5 times the HP of the Muscle. The Muscle gets around 120 HP, idiot.

my dear horse power is not the only thing which contributes to the power. torque is equal contributer. look at the torque difference between rocket 3 and harley. plus rocket3's peak power is achieved at very low rpms not like other bikes which r screaming like hell at their peak power rpm range. dont post ignorant comments next time plz

harleys suck. my personal experience. not reliable at all. u buy a brand new harley run it for 3000 to 5000 miles and its crank will run out. the sign is it becomes louder. u keep on runing it like this and the oil pump is damaged which leads to the whole engine damage. it is manufacturing fault in it. only solution is you have to disassemble the whole engine and install after market parts. what the hell is this
