does anybody know how their guitarist makes the guitar sound like an entire fucking orchestra? i know its not synths cuz i dont see their drummer playing. must be a lot of pedals.
I think he plays in standard D tuning...that's how I've learned most dredg songs, anyways. And he has a whole LITANY of pedals, but for that huge, orchestral sound you just use delay, a little bit of reverb and some distortion...but not too much :)
Iraq isn't the only place in conflict, try most other parts of the world too: Columbia, Haiti, Sudan, Balkans, Chechnya, Kashmir, Burma, (all over the African sub-continent). open your eyes to the brutality of some people and the bravery of those who fight to protect the weak and opressed. freedom or death.
Translation>"This album was inspired by a painting titled: "Dream Caused By The Flight Of A Bee Around A Pomegranate One Second Before Awakening". It is recommend that you view this painting as you listen to 'El Cielo'. It is as if one stimulus awakens other senses. In other words, it's about "drawing music."
i think what the whole line means is that he intends to remarkably change himself in some way. hence "massacre change". the "history of borderline paranoia" may be what he intends to change.
I don't really know for sure, but that is all I could come up with.
Ehy, does anybody know what the japanase girl says at the beginning of the song? I need to know it, please... i'm building an italian community about dredg!

Whoa, this is a great version of this track! Really great audio as well! Also the delay on Gavin's voice really suits the track!

he has a combination of over 35 pedals that he uses throughout the show, sometimes daisy chaining all of them at once to make original sounds

Rottendrummer 4 years ago
its tensions of self and its conflict and fragmentation within the self = being split between two different people ie: 2 different belief systems
