  • On this year's Ouachita Challenge 60 mile race, I hit that same tree at 5:05 in the video. My bars are so wide that I only had about 1/4" clearance. I was going about 20 mph and hit my right bar. It threw me off the bike and knocked my shoulder out of socket for a quick moment. I finished the race, but that shoulder has bothered for 6 months now. I just rode there again this weekend and took note of those trees. I think I'll chop my bars down.

  • Sorry to hear about your shoulder. Super tight trees in a straight fast section of trail. I've cut 3/4's inch off each side of my bars and love the results.

  • Great ride

  • It's about 45 minutes west of Hot Springs. The nearest town is Mt Ida. The Womble trail is the best maintained trail I know of. Its like a mountain biking autobahn. 37 miles of trail that is 98% ridable for the average rider. All that beauty with very few technical challenges. The trail even holds up during the rainy season. It's a joy to ride for all skill levels.

  • is that in hot springs?
