@ bogmire777, it isn't pronounced 'Gee-ts', it's actually more like 'Yarts'. 'G' in Old English makes a 'Y' sound, and 'ea' is like a long 'A' sound (i.e. like the 'a' in 'car')

You know that the story of Beowulf precedes 2007 and is more then a animated movie.

It was a poem written about 700 AD i think.

Grendal never even spoke in the poem, but does in the film. How ever despite this staying more true to the origins of the story i still have to say i prefer the movie.

The monster was made entirely out of clay. The lack of an armature made it ridiculously hard to animate, since the limbs would often fall off.
