  • Just another reason why The Wire is the greatest show of all time. The way Michael even gives that one last glance to Dukie. He is walking away from his childhood and his innocence and entering a world in which there is no return.

  • actually there were no leaves on the trees, if you look real closely at the side of each of the frames.

  • Snoop was looking fuckable in this scene. And I'm a dude.

  • I think snoop was sexy. Ride or die bitch

  • i think of snoop as a dude. i cant really see her in a sexy way. lol. she hella badass though

  • the end of michael's innocence. so sad they actually made a middle schooler do the shit they made him do.

  • I remember watching this scene and thinking that, when Marlo and snoop stood there listening to Michael talk and then asking him to sit was a HUGE sign of respect -

Anyone remember the scene when old face Andre came to talk about a re-up and he tried to sit down? Marlo told him that "you ain't stayin long" (paraphrase). Such a stark contrast

  • @Seraph042 recruitment technique. treating him all nice to pull him into the gang.

  • @Seraph042 well it was respect ever since michael didnt accept the money. they knew he was different

  • i swear the first guy micheal goes up to looked like lloyd banks on the hunger for more 2 cover

  • @huntspoint20 lol youre right

  • i remember watching the commentary for this scene. they said it was summer or something but they had to make it look like fall/winter, so they had to try really hard to maneuver the cameras to only show a sliver of the scenery because there were full trees surrounding the area... plus the actors were really hot wearing winter clothes

  • to understand the wire you have understand every scene why this such and such is happening reading some of your guys comments is that you are on point with it man this show was the best since the sopranos

  • snoop look good as hell in this scene though

  • This is the first time snoop actually looked like a girl

  • @Triniballa2000

she looked feminine when she did that drive by on the barksdale crew in that one scene. she was wearinbg pink and looked kinda nice.

  • @vidaa82 i think when she shot at poot and his crew while she was on the bike is the first time u can see some ass on her

  • @LeBronForTheWin

hecky yeah. i almost was slightly attracted to her.

  • i love how they captured the growth of each individual in such a short series

  • Marlo is the godfather ...... I got a problem i cant bring to no one else haha

  • Is it just me or does Marlo have some wierd lookin eyes?

  • did anyone else get the chills when michael looks at snoop? the emotionaless cold stare she has looking at him, like the devils (said it again) henchman (woman).

  • Snoop looks like the angel of death in this scene. Cold, yes, but in a way, serene, stoic almost.

  • @ConcaConz: Agreed. Well stated.

  • @ConcaCon Lol, you don't even know what stoic means. If anything, Marlo is the stoic one.

  • @MessatsuHadoken

I know very well what it means, so do not make wrong assumptions, unless you feel like engaging in a conversation about the depths of stoicism according to different ancient Greek philosophers. Thank you.

  • @ConcaCon Lol, funny how you bring up the philosophical side of it. Go on, I'd love to hear your reasoning for Snoop looking like a "serene stoic angel of death". While you're at it, you can educate me on Zeno. Don't try too hard.

  • @MessatsuHadoken

"When you want knowledge as much as you wanted air, then come back to me and you can be my student." Socrates

My reasoning: Perception of facial expressions, not character traits.

    End of interchange.

  • @ConcaCon That's just how most judges look when I go to court lol (for traffic tickets)

  • @rocaho001

Hahaha, I can picture. Like "Man, I've studied and worked my ass off to deal with this shit?"

  • @ConcaCon Holy hell yes. She actually looks feminine for a moment.

  • @ConcaCon LMAOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO I GOT SCARED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • god this scene is so powerful, Michael pretty much sells his soul to the devil (marlo) because of his hatred for his mothers boyfriend and to protect his little brother, before he goes to talk to him, he stands there with dukie, his one true friend who is there to support him and they look at each other one last time before michael makes the decision that changes things forever.

  • That was a chill scene

  • Dukie a ugly ass nigga

  • deep scene even if it was only a few seconds long

  • what is the name of this show

  • @smokedatdank7 the wire

  • Id fuck snoop like that

  • 0:21 - the point of no return.

  • i'd have to say, definitley one of marlos' more benevolent moments...never really gave a shit about anyone else, cept for giving money to the kids , and this

  • @caponex55 Marlo only handed out money to the kids so they would know he was the HNIC, not cuz he cared about them. He was interested in Michael from jump so when Michael just came to talk to Chris, he knew Michael was bout to join up, so why talk shit and be mean b4 the deal is done? Marlo dont' giv a fuck bout nobody but himself, but he is a smart businessman.

  • @chayangel815 he recruits kids so they'll stay loyal. gave them money so they'd love him.

  • @tgodd he also recruit kids cuz it's not likely they'd snitch if caught. they usually don't get charged with felonies for drug possession as a teen. and, if they act up, you can whup their ass without having to worry about them coming back on you. like i said, Marlo's smart.

  • @chayangel815 That's Drug Dealing 101

  • That boul standing on the fence look like Michael's real dad...

  • Goodbye to Michael.

  • @pwet00000 hahahahaaaa! I thought the exact same shit. But all in all I'll pass.

  • Marlo didn't even know about the situation with Officer Walker. The last time Marlo saw the ring was when Omar robbed him at the poker game. I'm guessing Marlo thought Michael took the ring back from Omar. If you can take something from Baltimore's most notorious stick-up man and live, then you really do deserve to keep it. To the victor goes the spoils.

  • dha first dude luk lik llyod banks. lmao

  • This scene is parallel to the Michael/Dukie goodbye at the end of the series. Here Dukie looks at Mike as if to say "Why you going to mix with Marlo, Snoop, and them",knowing that his life will never be the same but Michael feels like he as no other choice. At the final goodbye, Michael asks Dukie why he is going to go mix with the arabers who shoot dope, knowing that it will change his life forever but Dukie also feels as if he has no other choice.

  • The intense look on Marlo's face when he stares at Michael. Damn.

  • The only scene in the series where Snoop seemed somehow fuckable to me.

  • Comment removed

  • I still don't understand what Michael did for Marlo and Chris to see all his potential. Just the way he carried himself i guess. Mike was a street prodigy.

  • @crono916 He was the only kid to refuse the free money that Marlo was giving out. He didn't want no handout.

  • @crono916 killers recognize killers i suppose

  • This was an extraoradinary scene. Even Marlo's crew deep down sensed the gravity of the moment.

  • dat dude look like he could be mike pops

  • what ever happened to his friend? did he go to college or get murdered?

  • @naboba Duke became homeless and turned in to a drug addict.

  • @misterrightuk that was messed up plus michael ended up killin snoop but she was gettin niggas knocked

  • @naboba became a junkie

  • bitch if u gon quote the greatest don't forget a word...

  • Comment removed

  • Also, after seeing this scene, what idiot says Snoop isn't hot?

  • no michael wanted him dead... he hated bugs dad i think he was a faggot the way how hes always tryna touch and caresses michaels face

  • The word you're looking for is pedophile, not faggot.

Snoop even asks him to his face whether his stepdad is a "fag", he says no.

  • @abazigal what r u talkin about snoop never asked him if he was a fag... it was if he was a fein cuz they seen him coppin...

the point is he just wanted him dead

  • Oh right yeah she does say fiend. It's hard to tell with her most of the time.

  • JAMIE !! aka .. MARLO !! .. U..reppin your Haitian peeps well .. baby boy !!

  • yo to be gay snoop sexy as hell and im a guy....lol

  • Marlo really didn't have much of a background when he made his debut in season 3. He just sort of appeared out of nowhere and started dominating the drug trade and taking over shit. Then again so did Chris and Snoop.

  • How'd Chris grow so close/loyal to Marlo? Always wondered that.

  • This scene was sad for two reasons. For one Michael made the decision to join a heartless Drug Lord to avenge the alleged rape of both him and his little brother. Secondly, the look between him and Dukie both knowing that because of this decision that he would never be the same again.

  • @davydmx Good observation

  • i love marlos cold calculating ass

  • Marlo is pretty cold hearted but for some reason, I sorta like him and wonder how he got to this point. What lead him in the position he's in. Shm and I LOVE Chris and Snoop!

  • Marlo makes his 1st appearance in season 3 and ur right, they don't really give u da back story. it's left 2 ur imagination. i'd like 2 think though his attitude is part of the larger point. the game gets more fierce and each generation that plays becomes harder, hardened & colder than the previous 1. even avon had a softer side, lol.

  • Yeah, I remember how Avon dealt with Cutty when he was supposed to get that boy and didn't because the game wasn't in him anymore... I wonder how Marlo would've reacted to that. I do prefer how things were done in the old days though. There was a lot more respect.

  • @Igotdapowa Chris and Snoop are my favorites along with Bodie and Poot

  • Comment removed

  • snoop actually looks pretty here haha

  • 20 words...that's it. Great writing and acting.

  • Key moments of this scene:

Dukie and Michael looking at each other one last time.

Marlo and Snoop looking over Michael. No words.

Michael looking Marlo in the eyes after stating his intentions.

And Marlo nodding and letting him sit down.

I would call this scene, "Deal with the Devil".

  • he sold his soul 2 da devil

  • @weedblower89

SELLING HIS SOUL TO THE DEVIL

WAS THE RIGHT CHOICE FOR MICHEAL TO MAKE

  • @JRilla1879 im going to stab you in the anus with a large fishing knife for talking so much shit! you and your empty threaTS you fucking homosexual studio gangster!

  • @danielhiryu um the was deff not the last time micheal and dukie saw each other

  • @abctime35 I was referring to the last time Michael and Dukie looked at each other before he went to talk with Marlo. Not the last time they ever saw each other... that was in Season 5.

  • @danielhiryu great observation....I would add the look Snoop gave Marlo, she's never really looked that vulnerable or in need of approval/direction. Brilliant scene, eye acting.

  • @Safo8888 yeah i totally agree with you, when he says he thought he could catch up with chris and marlo raises his eyebrow, its like he knows he's got the boy now and chris now has his attention, waiting to hear what he has to say, and snoop looks at marlo almost like "what do you think?" or waiting for his decision.

  • @Safo8888 err Michael* not chris.

  • i got that same scarface jacket snoop got in the last scene i bought it when i was 17 man i thought those kinda jackets were only ny shit

  • at 1.02 snoop actually looked like a girl

  • She does that surprisingly often, people aren't looking hard enough.

  • @hisholyhoviness Yes she does. =)

  • @hisholyhoviness I was going to say the same, she looked more feminine, that term would be politically correct.

  • @realgood2nite ..she looked even better when her ass was bouncing on the back of that motorcycle during a hit..shew was wearing pink sweats

  • @WiseGuy5674 She aint even that kinda girl man.

  • @realgood2nite ..I aint saying she is. Do you remember the scene when she did the drive-by on the back of a motorcycle?...She was looking real good.

  • @WiseGuy5674 No I do not recall, perhaps they have it on here, I'll take a look at it though I doubt its all that fire.

  • @hisholyhoviness yeah a girl that'll kill yo ass. lol.

  • imagine snoop wit a fatty lmao

  • hahahahahahhah!!!

  • anyone else think Dukie could've talked michael out of going 2 marlo 4 help??? i mean damn, he almost would've been better off just coppin some heat on his own & doing da job himself, lol. i'm not advocating murder but when his only other alternative was being indebted & 2 a drug kingpin, was murder really all that bad???

  • I'm not sure Mike wanted the guy dead. Just gone, outa the house away from him and his brother.

  • can u really believe that? at this point the boys knew marlo's crew was responsible 4 disappearing bodies & they'd already seen the dead body Dukie showed em in the vacant from episodes earlier. do u really think Michael thought Chris would do nothing more than send that guy away -- especially knowing how enraged his was over being sexually abused?

  • Comment removed

  • michael couldn't do the hit. he'd probably talk himself out of it. parentally michael's stepfather could've had some mental hold over him. it had to be done from someone who wasn't michael.

  • tha look on snoop face was priceless

  • His brother's father is back in the picture, and he is a child molester. Michael convinces Marlo to have Chris and Snoop take him out.

  • i like these movies dey like real life and dey got story 2 dem

  • Its TV show

  • @SaintRowHero

YOU MEAN HBO TV SERIES YOU STUPID FUCK

ITS CALLED HBO''s THE WIRE = TV SHOW

A 1-5 SEASON TV SHOW CALLED

    THE WIRE

GET YOUR FACTS START STUPID CLOWN ASS BITCH

  • lmao that dude did look like lloyd banks

  • real talk snoop looked aight at 1:00

  • yeah she did.. no lie..

  • marlo is powerful but to talk to avon you need an appointment lol

  • was that llyod banks at the begining

  • lol no

  • hate 2 say it like this, but anybody else think mike would've been better off just handlin Bug's father by himself w/out having 2 be indebted 2 Marlo? he spent all that time saying he didn't like feeling like he owed somebody and yet he had 2 know Marlo's crew wasn't genuine (no way they were his real friends).

  • mike was 14 here....no 14 year old is going to do any damage against a grown man

  • LOL, come 2 Texas then. I will show u some thugged out 6-1, 215 pound thick necked football players (14!!!!) who'd fight u like a man if it came down 2 it. LOL, nah, but seriously my point wasn't 4 michael 2 step 2 Bug's father like that. Of the 4 boys, Michael was a thinking man even at 14, like chess, considering all possibilities. Did he really think debt 2 Marlo was the best alternative? I think he could've found another way 2 solve this problem. just my 2 cents.

  • Well Mike is still a kid maturing here. Once he got the murder game under his belt he became something different. At this point he still needed to put some trust in someone. I don't care how hard you are we all need someone we can go too. Hell Omar had Butchie to express his feelings too. Only cat that really stands emotionally alone is Marlo and that's cause he's psychopath.

  • sociopath

  • i stand corrected

  • Actually SPANKY, YOU were correct the first time: The psychopath is defined by a psychological gratification in criminal, sexual, or aggressive impulses and the inability to learn from past mistakes.

    Wikipedia.

  • At first I thought so too but then I read the terms are almost interchangeable as once term was psychopath and then it was changed to sociopath. Probably a good topic of discussion though.

  • Sociopathy is a loosely-defined term that may be used to refer to:

    Psychopathy

U are correct, they are interchangeable.

    DVA

  • and he had vinson

  • LOL...not the same. Butchie and Omar really had a connection... a personal friendship as well as business. Remember when Butchie offered to cover Omar for a bounty on Avon. Omar also handed Butchie money for his "pain". Vinson was not a friend...he was Marlo's bank and adviser but not a friend.

  • Na it's not about age, he wasn't mentally prepared.

But after Chris n Snoop trained him, he kill like it's no body business.

  • @ 1:02 snoop looks sexy there. she's a pretty wasted girl

  • why did u cut the clip it was just getting good

  • dang, snoop looked good...

  • Yeah, Snoop looked damn good

  • i cant believe that there wuz only 19 words sed in this scene.

  • Yo i would actually have considered piping snoop in that scene. she actually looks fuckable with her hair in the wind lol !!

  • LMFAO!!!!

  • This is such a good scene. There's only like 20 words said throughout the whole clock, but the story's being told just with the looks on their faces

    And Snoop is hot

  • snoop looks hot

  • your not supposed to show any emotion or compassion when yoUR A murderer like Marlo...thats why we love that guy

  • snooppppppppppppppppppppp

  • i would always stick to snoop but i see what u mean right here thou thats the sexiest i seen her

  • wow, at 1:02, i actually considered fucking Snoop. She actually looked kinda hot.

  • SHEEWO - 100% right. One of the few times I can remember Marlo showing any compassion/emotion. This, and when he was in prison screaming at Monk and Chris. This was certainly one of the few compassion ones tho!

  • this was a good scene it shows how kids get caught up in big nigga shit and also the transformation from a lil nigga to a gorilla on the real

  • snoop actually look like a girl in this scene...and for ONCE Marlo actually looked like he had a little compassion

  • Who would have thought that innocent kid would end up killing Snoop?

  • astewart2005 are you kiddin me? kids make the best killers! Why you think in Africa most of the resistance fighters and guerillas are under 18? In some countries people just go 'head and kill the kid just to be safe.

  • Had to be done, he showed he learned well and was the better at the game than her. Prepared himself better, thought things out more.

  • My favorite scene from the best tv show ever.

  • jamie hector is such a good actor...he says everything with his eyes

  • I would call this..."A Deal with the Devil"

  • THEM FACE EXPRESSIONS WAS DA SHIT

  • This is the best show.
