Our YT people are the best, Liz. Imagine that Jean received more than 100 cards! I am so sorry I missed the 'toast' to Jean. It will be nice to hear the stories - I'm looking to listening.
@popparoc46 Yes indeed; we have found some of the coolest people ever! I'm so very glad. Yes, I will try to start doing the stories soon. Thanks for the reminder. Hugs.
I'm So Sorry To Hear About Auntie, She Sure Sounded Like A Beautiful Person I Will Toast To Her Life Tomorrow Evening.... Along With My Celebration (Birthday)
Oh Liz, I am so sorry to hear about your aunt. I haven't been on here that much because of things going on here. I am so glad that you were able to have that special relationship with your aunt and for as long as you did. I know that you loved her and that she will be greatly missed. Take care. Hugs!
@DearestBecky You are so sweet! Thank you! yes, indeed she will be missed. But Saturday we celebrate her life. She had a good one! I have all her passports except for the last one - it's with a sister. She's been so many place - 53 countries or more. Stunning. I adored her and do miss her a lot but she enriched my life and for that I am grateful. Thank you! Hugs.
So sorry about the loss of your aunt my condolences to you and your family. So glad she had a long life and found joy in the cards. Hugs to you and your family.
@cutebear83 Thank you so much. She did have a long life, full of a lot of wonderful people who cared for her and full of many adventures. Thanks for watching! :)
I think that I will try to lift a glass of some diet soda! I am so happy to have been a part of bringing her happines in her later days! Thanks for this video! Good to see you! HUGS and Blessings sweet lady!
Liz i'm so happy that all those cards arrived for your Aunt.... it must have been a wonderful sight seeing so many .... isn't the youtube community wonderful
@twish1999 Exactly! it made such a difference and she told me often how much it meant to her! :) She loved learning where everyone is from! Yes indeed. I feel warmth and care from so many; it means a lot and has helped with the pain of the loss. I am so grateful for everyone! Hugs!!!!!!!!
Liz I'm so sorry. I guess I've been living in a cave as I did not know Aunt Jean had passes. I'm sorry. She seemed like a remarkable woman and I know you loved her very much. Again, I'm sorry for just now sending you my condolences. Hugs
@imperceptibleme Oh Melissa sweetie! I pulled away from YT for the last few weeks and just crawled into myself to heal. Many days I never left the house, but now I'm feeling like myself again; ready to celebrate her life instead of mourning her loss. She was a treasure and I'll always remember her. Thanks for the warm thoughts - you are a dear!!!!!!!!!!!!! YouTube has kept me wrapped in a warm bubble of kindness all these months and it has helped so much! Hugs.
@OceanTownPictures It is indeed difficult. Yes, you've had a really hard year - and it takes time to heal from that sort of thing. I had one year where I lost 4 people and my favorite pet. It took YEARS to recover. Be kind to yourself and don't expect too much. Thanks for your friendship; these things are made easier with kindness! Hugs backatcha pal.
@COOLIKEDATAZIAN Jason - thank you! I too am happy with the results of Beth's idea. I hope you do - maybe I'll post a reminder on facebook that morning. Big giant California Hugs to you.
@xyzllii Thank you Kristine. After Sunday's Memorial, my duties are done. I do still have some family in my parent's generation but I don't know them. It's interesting to now be the Matriarch now.
@MrsRedAng Angie, you all did! Thank you. I think all of you changed it for the better. It was Beth's idea to do the cards; Ang Howes suggested the toast. I love the YT community!
Haven't been around YT much so I didn't know she passed. It has been so clear just how much she was loved by you and other family; she was a fortunate lady. Thanks so much for sharing her with all of us. The toast is a great idea.
@thedamenextdoor Thank you. She was a love. And if anyone would support what you're doing - going back for more education; it would be her! In her 40s she went to Europe to teach for years. then when she was almost 50 she moved to the desert to create a new life. That's what you're doing - changing your life. Creating a new you that will add to the life you already have and make it richer. You go! :)
What a wonderful idea to drink a toast to such a special lady!! Sat is my daughter's birthday and we will be dining out that night so we will definitely have a Bailey's in Aunt Jean's honor.
@jcrefasi1 How lovely! Tuesday was my daughter's birthday so we celebrated last weekend. Bailey's is perfect. Thank you Jo Ann; I would love to meet you one day and give you a hug.
So glad that Aunt Jean enjoyed the cards. So sorry to hear about her passing away as you know I lost my Grandmother just before Christmas. I know how close you were to your Aunt and I know she would have really appreciate having you there for her. Big love and hugs to you and your family.
@cheekychickenhead I do remember that - its a hard time of year to lose those we love, but I'm focusing on the gifts of love that she gave me and all she taught me. I hope you'll be able to do that with your Grandmother too someday. Thank you for the warm wishes. YouTubers have been so sweet; I feel quite warm and cared for. Hugs!
again, my condolences...i am so glad the cards made her happy...and over 110! that is so heartwarming =) i will definately toast to miss jean on saturday, and an extra toast to you, liz, for being a wonderful neice...many blessings!
@Hellzap0ppin :) Thank you so much! She was amazing, it's true. And to have been loved by so many - it's really heartwarming. The YouTube Community is so full of warm, kind people. I am honored to have felt that surround us. Hugs.
I would love to toast Aunt Jean's life at 6PM on Saturday, but I need to go to work just after that. I cannot have one drop of alcohol before work!
I would love to hear stories of Aunt Jean... I was always fascinated with the stories told by the older generations when I was a youngster, and I'm sure that such stories would still fascinate me now.
@fehquig Andy, a toast does not have to contain alcohol - just the warmth. Yes, I think you would have liked her. I'm going to try to do one a week until I run out. We are lucky if we know people in the older generation and learn a bit of our past. My best to you and Cindy.
I knew that Aunt Jean had taken a turn for the worse but I had not realized that she had passed away. Sending you heartfelt condolences and hugs from Max and I.
@TammyVlogs Tammy, that's why I've been MIA this month. This weekend will be the memorial and then time for moving on. I took the entire month to do almost nothing; I was exhausted physically and emotionally but seriously, the kindness and warmth from YouTubers made it better. I am so grateful to Beth's idea and everyone who participated. Who knew that cards from strangers would make her so happy? Beth did! And she was right. It did.
@silverscreamgrl No, she liked Bailey's Irish Creme. Beth - It made more difference than you can imagine. I tried several times to take video of her room with all the cards but just kept breaking up - just couldn't do it. So this was the best I can do. She totally knew who you were and always smiled when I mentioned you! :)
