I think it would be awesome in halo 4 if you drive the pelican in multiplayer but when you're getting shot down your wing starts to deteriorate and you lose control and crash, but it doesn't explode . It plows into the ground and stays there the whole match O: :D

the gay thing about this is, whilst you can play the map online and other people see the pelicans, for some odd reason the pelicans dont show up on hosts screen but the host can still go on top of them like they are invisible

Nope, Dev kits are given to Bungie Employees to perfect ideas and concepts for Halo 3. It contains many preset easy to use mods. All you need is a program and 3Ds Max and a modding cable, or harddrive transfer cable.

WIth a program called Xplorer260 and any standard USB cable it is easy to inject files from your computer into an Xbox360 I happen to know a configuration files that would work quite well to make a pelican fly. Codding isnt that hard its actually quite easy to read and rewrite. Its not like its a completely diffrent language just a simplified version of the English Language

Yes but it wouldn't look right but with a few simple modifcations it is quite relistic. Bungie's excuse is that spartans have no need to fly pelicans. So perhaps in Halo 3:ODST you may be able to fly a pelican. Rumor is that you can atleast interact with pelicans in Halo 3: Reach.

Making a Pelican is not hard I have now found an even easier way to make those, specific pelicans fly using some merging and the dummy trick you can make any object movable than merge it with the pelican and you will have a very convincing pelican.
